I live across the street and this is my favorite place to come to eat with my fiancé. Usually the mojarra frita is our #1 choice. It has less bones when you eat. Unfortunately, I don't like super hard fried foods, so I go for the camarones al mojo de ajo. If you love garlic, you will love it. The have lunch specials all day. Great prices, huge portions=tasty business. We ended up here because the other highly rated places in Greenfield were closed. This place is incredible! After asking our waitress about the recipe fpr the delicious and fresh salsa, she brought us another bowl of salsa but with fresh avocado in it and told us it was her favorite variation! Wow! We got the carnitas-my "safe" plate for Mexican-its hard to do wrong-and chile rellenos-my "test" plate for Mexican and it was very very good with an original red sauce. I like to stop here when in south monterey county for the seafood specials including the shrimp and abalone ceviche style tostada, shrimp and oyster cocktail and grilled shrimp with roasted garlic plate. This is a great restaurant in a small town. Not disappointing at all. The restaurant is very clean. We had great service, and the food is delicious. We had a beef burrito, beef and tongue tacos, and a horchata. All of the servings were large, for a total of about $26. The beef is fresh, and the tongue just melts in your mouth. Stopped by for lunch and had the carne asada taco lunch plate. The tacos were ok, the meat needed more flavor or maybe some salt. The beans were tasty but watery, and the rice was ok. I have eaten there twice both times the food was excellent. The first time was at lunch and I had the shrimp tostado. There were so many shrimp that I couldn't see the tortilla. The second time was Friday evening and I had the shrimp cooked in butter with garlic, salad, beans and rice, again excellent. The only problem was about 10 extremely loud pendejos watching a soccer game on TV. It was still worth it. We will go again. read more

Great place! We have enjoyed every meal we've gotten there. Shrimp grilled meal was awesome, husband raved about the chili verde dinner (surpassed El Paso restaurants), my 14-yr. old son ate up his pastor meal. Yesterday we tried the burritos - sooo good! The food is good but defiantly over priced, I ordered a burrito that costed around 5 dollars which most places have them for and I was expecting an average sized one for the price. However, what I got was a pretty small burrito. I would say what most would consider a kid sized burrito. Other than the the size everything was pretty good, the meat was just a bit too greasy but it was overall a decent places, they just need bigger portions in my opinion. read more

Food wasn't that flavorful, meat was dry, beans were watery and runny, salad was a small pile of lettuce and a tomato round on top .....no dressing. Rice was decent, fries were pretty good, but underseasonsed. Food was pricey for quality. Service was on the slow side, will not be returning. read more
