Have had takeout and eat in here a couple of times already. Let's just say the food was outstanding. All prepare from fresh.

You will pass the playground area (No, you didn't pass up Howlin Bird or parking area). Once you enter through the doors in the back, you'll see a counter where a friendly staff member will greet you; taking your order. You will be given the option to eat outside or inside with a number locating where your food will be brought when ready. The OH Chicken Sandwich is delicious, but I won't say it is better or worse than other similar chicken sandwiches other places. The tator tots were crispy and seasoned. The star of the show this visit was the peanut butter chocolate shake was had peanut butter morsels in it. This place was busy during a weekday during lunch time both in the dining area and the bar counter. The fountain drinks have a drink station to serve yourself.

The Good: great…read moretasting chicken: Danielle had the chicken & waffles and i had a 4 piece meal w/ fried Brussel sprouts. we both agreed that the chicken was delicious and perfectly fried/crispy. the chicken fingers were also huge. i was worried that 4 chicken fingers wasn't going to be enough to fill me up but i was full by the time I'd eaten 2. each finger was the width of 2 fingers you'd get somewhere else. beverage options: i'm diabetic so i stick to diet/zero sugar sodas or teas. not only did they have diet pepsi, but had diet dr. pepper as well. score! and that cold soda was needed... The Bad (or Bad-ish): Howlin Sauce: incredibly hot/spicy for just a sriracha based sauce. i eat lots of hot and spicy dishes. it wasn't that it tasted bad - in fact, quite the opposite - but it scorched my tongue like nothing has in a while. No Chill (ha): Danielle's chicken and waffles was swimming in syrup so by her waffles were soggy as hell by the time she'd finished. she still loved the meal and just said she'd ask for it on the side next time. Messy: when we arrived, we saw a number of parties leaving one after another. i assume this would be the reason that most of the tables were covered in dirty dishes and empty cups and glasses. since you order at the counter and seat yourself, servers are not around to check on you or the state of the restaurant. so, tables remained messy for a little while before they were cleaned up. Ordering: i don't like the ordering at the counter and lack of server service. the place doesn't look to be set up that way. you'd think there would be servers as it's kinda like a larger bar. instead you order, sit, wait for your food and you're on your own. it's a little like BW3 was back in the day. Slow: seemed to take a long time for chicken fingers. not a huge deal, but i wouldn't have guessed it'd take so long. i don't want to give the impression, though, that it was more bad than good. the food definitely outweighed the negatives. it's a long way from home but i'd go back for sure. i'd like to try some wings and some other sides as well as some of their appetizers.

I'm a Southern California resident visiting family in Ohio. After a long flight, I wanted a bite to…read moreeat and took my sister to Cane's. We love ours back home. The following is not what we experience back there. There was an hour wait at the drive thru, which consisted of a line that looped around the building twice! One window was open. No one outside to take preorders to expedite the process. After arriving at the window, we ordered two combos. Mine was a specialty order for the Caniac as I request "naked tenders" and extra hot sauce. Once at the window, we checked on the special request, and they did not have that listed so they handed us drinks and parked us after correcting. No straws for the drinks. We asked for them and requested extra hot sauce for the second time. The attendant grabbed some packets but became frazzled when we asked for straws so she put the hot sauce to the side and gave us straws. We pulled ahead before realizing we didn't get the hot sauce. We waited about 20 minutes parked before we received the wrong order. We called the runner back and requested the right order. There was only one combo (ordered 2), no hot sauce, and a side of three piece chicken. The runner seemed irritated so my sister went in with her. Inside they argued we didn't order two combos until my sister showed them our receipt. We waited longer. Finally the order came with one hot sauce for a 6 piece dinner. There were maybe 10 fries in her combo. I didn't order fries. We also noticed we were charged $1 more for the combo drink bc it was tea, not soda. I'm never charged more in CA, and online it shows a large drink with the combo. No one told us we'd be charged extra. When we saw these mistakes at home combined with our overall experience, we called in. The manager responded with silence and then an "ok" when we addressed our concerns. She was dismissive, no apology of our experience, or any way to promise a better visit next time. Total disregard. I'll stick with my California drive thru in the future.

Love the chicken, good breading, portions. Easy ordering, easy everything. Love the chickenread more

The staff was thorough and impressively fluid today keeping things moving. Depending on the time of day you'll be handed the lunch & dinner menu which has a limited breakfast section. However, you can always request the full breakfast menu. I love getting the country boy breakfast which has three eggs, choice of sirloin tips or ham, biscuits with sawmill gravy and two breakfast sides. A decent price for the Country Boy Breakfast. The white cheddar bites and fried pickles were really good as well. Even the checkout experience went smoothly with friendly staff. It does take some getting used to with the reformatting of the dining area and checkout. The reformatted dining area feels cozy and shrunk.
