    Fried calamari

First time here to celebrate a special occasion. Our server Fatima took great care of our table. Food came fast and hot. The mango mixed ceviche and red snapper ceviche were fresh and delicious. Calamari was perfectly crispy. The shrimp fettuccine alfredo had good size shrimp blending with the creamy sauce. I was impressed by the Centro America seafood soup with coconut milk. The El Muelle seafood fried rice was smoky with lots of shrimp, mussels and octopus. The jalapeno margarita was interesting with a hint of jalapeno flavor. Very nice and lively ambiance with clean, spacious interior. Will definitely be back to try other items in their wide menu. Very reasonable prices so that's a plus!

First time visit! Walking in the restaurant is beautiful & roomy! Service was excellent from the hostess to our server! Now for the food...absolutely did not disappoint! Tostada had great flavor - the shrimp was a great size! The boiled shrimp was amazing!! Definitely a go to for fresh seafood! And they have very generous portions for the price!

    Shrimp Botana

Fatima absolutely made our lunch at El Muelle. I took my lifelong best friend there for his birthday, and she dialed in the experience right from the start--present when you need her, invisible when you don't. She checked in just enough to keep things moving without hovering, which is a rare skill and honestly makes a big difference. We had a couple questions on the menu and she knew her stuff--clear answers, no guessing, no confusion. Communication was easy the whole time, solid English, no back-and-forth or missed details. Food-wise, she set the tone and kept it seamless. My friend had the shrimp botana and it was outrageous--in a good way. I went with the mixed cocktail (shrimp, fish, pulpo, oysters) and it was fresh, loaded, and exactly what I wanted. She kept the flow going, drinks topped off, timing on point. And on top of all that--she's got a great energy. Big smile, upbeat, makes you feel like she actually enjoys what she's doing. It lifts the whole table. Closed us out fast when we were ready, no waiting around with that awkward "where's the check" phase. Bottom line: great food, better service. Ask for Fatima if you go--you'll have a better time.

TRUST ME! everything here is sooooo delicious I don't like too much the fish, but with the "Chicharrones de tilapia" crunchy and flavorful you can't imagine that is fish With the "Mariscada" I highly recommend the "Centroamerica" is made with coconut milk Writing this post make feel hungry again haha Tania is amazing girl, she was very sweet and the service was great, not just from her, from everyone. You have to visit this place!!

Loved the historical nature of the restaurant and thought it might have been associated with a Christie's seafood that was in San Antonio many years ago. It was not... :( Nice place! Cool surroundings and nice tables and decor. We got here early and got a table. Nice people and good service! Food was just OK. Crab dipper appetizer was OK. Crab tasted a little old. Bread and butter were good as were the salads. My son got the Salmon which was pretty good (came with dirty rice that was alright. My wife had the whol Branzino prepared Greek style, and it was good, but not great (maybe a little overdone). Our sons neighbor recommended the "Christie's pride" and that is what I got. It was... interesting. The seafood dressing was kind of odd and a bit pungent. It was, as I said, interesting. Looking back the waiter maybe hinted to not get that, but I came in here to try it. Kind of a let down, but there was a big menu so assuming other dishes are better. The main disappointment is that prices were steep! The 3 dishes we had plus appetizer was $150 (No drinks... no dessert)! Would have been a fair price if we all thought the food was amazing. But at best it was "pretty good" Like I said/ lots going for it but no plans to return...

The bread paired well with the hummus we ordered as the bread was dry on its own. For my entree, I got the Zereshk polo & chicken. Unfortunately, I really did not like the berries as they had an unusual odour and taste to them. I tried to remove them from the rice, but the rice still had the unpleasant taste of the berries. I liked the chicken in the tomato-based sauce as it was fragrant and very tender. My vegetarian friends weren't impressed with their entree either. They had a lot left over but only took the plain rice home. The service wasn't very attentive as they didn't fill our empty water jug of unfiltered tap water until we asked after we were done eating. Our group was five people, and they charged a mandatory 20% tip. The server didn't inform me when paying, which felt sneaky. I also didn't see it on the menu. Tipping is supposed to be for service, and the service was subpar. After mandatory tip, my meal was $20.

Having said that, one would say that I'm a Crawfish whisperer In the past I've always waited until they are big enough to even take the time to eat the flesh out of the claws, and that time is NOW, when the NBA playoffs are in full swing... For years I have called Bayou City Seafood around this time to ask what size they are, and this year was no different. I trust them to be honest with me, and they always are. So, if you either love crawfish or if you have always wanted to try them, there's no place in the city that's better. We go at 6:30 and sit at the bar. I order three pounds, which sounds like a lot but the tail has all the meat. Corn and potatoes are extra and the Boudin as an appetizer is fabulous. BTW, one of their craft beers is the perfect pairing. The service is excellent and our waitress at the bar was new, friendly, and very accommodating.
