OK, I do not judge a book by its cover.. while this place is not aesthetically pleasing it actually really is good. I think they should tone down on the salt on the sauce but other than that I'm definitely gonna give this a 8 out of 10. My crawfish were big in some words small I got 3 pounds for 29.99 and it came with potatoes and eggs and corn. You really can't beat that. The drink drinks were also really good as well. We had margarita and lemon drops. The service was definitely good. Our raider was really nice. I think her name was ashley. The crawfish definitely was seasoned. The potatoes were good. 100+ I placed an order and when it arrived some of my items were missing, I called to let the manager Adrian know, she proceeded to advise us to call doordash. I advised that we could not get through to a live person and asked if she had a number ,she completely went off, She used so much profanity that I was in complete shock. The manager Adrian, called me every expletive know to man. She then told me to come up there to fight her and hung up. My order discrepancy was never resolved. The food was mediocre at best. This is one of my favorite seafood places to date. I've got to find more places to compare to but this is always my go to. We came on a slow day so service was decent. Our server didn't move too fast and didn't move too slow, we literally were the only ones in there. This place has great music selections. My friends and I sang the entire time we were here. I ordered a Seafood platter which comes with corn, potatoes, snow crab, mussels, crawfish and clams. One thing I didn't like was that's the mussels were a bit rubbery but the flavor was there. Well I will definitely say that this is the hood spot and not in a bad way at all! I was so happy this place came in clutch after another spot (already did a review on it) fell through which was only 7-minute walk from Fat Crab. I was so happy that they stayed open until I believe either 1 or 2am which is so great! I wish the DMV would have seafood boil spots that stayed open that late! So they were deducted some points because of service. I came across this amazing seafood spot after two previous disappointments, and I'm so glad I did! They're open late, and while I expected a crowd, it was actually pretty chill. (It was a Monday night though) We were seated immediately, and the service was great. Our water was served in cute little cups and since we had checked out the menu beforehand we were ready to order before we walked through the door lol I got 1 lb of snow crab and 1 lb of crawfish in their mild Cajun and garlic butter mixed sauce, while my date ordered 1 lb of snow crab and 1 lb of shrimp in the mild garlic butter sauce. Both our seafood boils came with 2 corns and 3 potatoes (I added 2 eggs as well) Both sauces were incredible, but the Cajun and garlic butter mix was chef's kiss.. (OMG finger licking good.. no butter needed and I Always.. ALWAYS need butter!!) the perfect balance of flavor and spice! Everything was cooked to perfection, and you could tell they truly know their seafood. The ambiance was just as good as the food. The dimmed blue lighting gave the place a cool, laid-back vibe, and the R&B music playing in the background made it even better. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal and relax. On top of all that, the prices were super reasonable compared to other seafood places in comparison around the way! Our total food and 1 drink 1 beer came to just over $130 before tip, and a 15% gratuity was automatically included, which I didn't mind at all because our waiter was awesome. I ordered from here after getting off work. My first time ordering here. I went in to pick up my food. I waited about 10 minutes & was still not greeted by any employees. There was a group of about 4 employees at the bar laughing & talking. I asked if anyone was there to help one lady said she was not clocked in the other 3 just said that someone would be with me. The food was amazing! My sister and niece came down from Fort Worth/Arlington texas for the weekend. Food was delicious..we had lobster special, king crab boil and catfish platter (4) with crab cakes and fries. Ppl... always ask for the itemized receipt especially at that bar!! I visited this place two days ago and got the same two receipts that I was giving on this night of this review neither one was itemized (see picture below) Myself and friend tipped well that night two days ... tonight I asked for the itemized receipt and low and behold there is a 10% service/gratuity fee. It's small so ppl won't notice it as much it's very small !!! At the bar the two copies giving were just total bills ! The one I had to ask for is pictured because I felt a sense of suspicion was the itemized copy that actually show the 10% service /gratuity charge (that one is not always giving by the bar tender or server so ask for it ) !! If double tipping your thing that's fine but don't be sneaky fat crab !!!! Is misrepresentation and that constitutes fraud !!! For me it's the fact they are hiding or smoothing over the charge . I couldn't care less if it was 1$ it's my money and you can not dictate how I spend my money ... just don't try to be sneaky and play in folks faces !!! Tell me why I came here on a date and the man was so cheap he didn't even want to buy me the $30 crab legs, but got the nerve to order himself the $28 wings and shrimp fried rice. After asking what I was going to order I let him know the crab legs and he said "they high as hell." If he can't get me something I get myself when I go out with the girls, he ain't the one. The boil was a good 9/10, but dry rub season was a 5/10. I let Julius jr try a shrimp and he enjoyed it so much that after I didn't finish my food and caught him side eyeing my left overs, he asked if I was taking it to go. This basically indicated that if I wasn't, he definitely was. Food tasted just as good the following day when I steamed the left over boil. When it was time to pay, Julius Jr conveniently left his wallet. I was going to pay my own half and leave him there. After some silence of waiting for our server, I thought I was going to have to ask if they had any dishes he could wash in the back for his personal portion, but then he then brought up Apple Pay. He sent me $50 and said to use my card. Luckily the server said they offer Apple Pay and he paid the whole bill himself. He asked me if I was sending the money back, but I conveniently didn't have signal. I would recommend overall for the ambiance, vibe, late hours, and food quality, but honestly I've had better dry rubs which makes a large part of a boil in my personal opinion. While visiting Houston we stopped in on our last day in the city. Let me start by saying we never had the opportunity to try food or drinks. My experience mirrors a few of the reviews that I've read... pretty much there is soo much going on that it's hard to figure out who is coming or going. We waited at the door to be seated as the sign instructed however others (maybe regulars) walked right in and sat where they liked. Initially it didn't appear to be that busy, 75% of the tables were empty, but we waited 10mins to be seated. Once seated we wait another 15mins before someone started our order then another young lady (it was her first day) came in the middle to complete the order. After an additional 10mins (now 35 mins) I realized the young lady did not ask how I wanted my seafood boil prepared (flavor and spice level). When I caught her attention and asked her about it she said "I didn't put your order in yet". I was surprised and slightly annoyed but went with it because now I know it would be prepared to my liking. Thinking we finally were off to a good start, I got lost in the TV and music as my eyes wander trying to figure out exactly what the vibe was supposed to be. It was hard to tell, the bar was a little busy but many tables remained empty. Several ladies walking around may/may not be employees. I believe if they had on a belt bag/fanny pack then they were. When I realized I was still taking in the atmosphere an additional 20mins had passed (55mins total) we still didn't receive the water w/ lemon (requested) or the drinks from the bar. By this time we were over it. On the way out I stopped at the bar waited an additional few minutes to get the original lady's (whom started our order) attention and told her thank you but NO THANK YOU. She apologized as we booked it to the exit. Just A Note: I thought the service was originally do to opening hiccups/kinks that they were working out. Based on other reviews it's just hit or miss... I tried the skittles drink which was very strong for those who enjoy an adult beverage like I do. My initial visit was pretty good so I looked forward to returning. Boy was I disappointed. I ordered a dozen oysters, steamed and raw. They weren't fresh, pretty dry & rather tasteless. Nothing like the ones I tried on my first visit. My friend got the seared scallops and chicken wings. Again, it was pretty bland. I got a drink which was missing something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The waiter was attentive, the music pretty loud so you had to yell to talk to your party or order.
