The food and the service have always been absolutely amazing! I have gone for my birthday and Mother's Day. On Sundays they have music including mariachi. The prices are a steal for the quality of the food.

Authentic Mexican food?! Yes please!!! My boyfriend wanted fajitas and found this place and told us we had to go and I'm glad we did cause the food is delicious!!! The waitress we got didn't speak much English - and it seems like that was the case for lots of the waitresses here - they had to find us an English speaking one and even then, it was a lot of looking at each other to decipher what the other is saying LOL. But that comes with the experience and the authenticity right?! We were given crispy chips - they were thicker than normal but crispy and really good. The salsa was fantastic and so were the seasoned tomatoes/onions they gave you. They also give you a small cup of some kind of fish soup, which was also good but I couldn't figure out if it was a soup or something to dip my chips in. Works well either way!!! We had the mixed fajitas - the meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The beef was tender and the chicken was moist. I think my least favorite was the shrimp in this platter. But they give you rice, beans, guacamole.. everything you would want with your fajitas and a choice of corn/flour tortilla. Loved every last bit of this dish! I also got the aguachile with the red sauce.. OMG! So so so spicy! It's basically like a ceviche but it was just filet raw shrimp "cooked" in lime and seasoned with chiles!!! Very good and the cucumbers offset the heat - but my mouth was on fire! If you like ceviche/raw shrimp and spicy stuff - try this dish!!! The prices are so affordable and they serve other seafoods/oysters as well. They have beer, michelatas and margaritas!!! The tres leches cheesecake is pretty rich and thick - but if you like cheesecake, it's good. I thought it was a bit too dense and really wanted a normal fluffy tres leches cake! Overall, I can't imagine how they would make the food any better cause it was so good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is clean and looks like a seafood bar with beach decor! I will definitely be back!

Never had raw scrimp and was excellent here. The oysters was excellent and fresh. Wish they had horseradish. The seafood soup was great. The ceviche was really good as well. They be blasting loud Mexican music here. I have been back 2 times already. Excellent food.

Really good fried shrimp and good rice! Micheladas are so good and they give this little soup at the beginning that's so good as well! Really good place

My boyfriends MBA classmate recommended here to us, so we gave it a try yesterday. This place was so good! I've never had Mexican seafood before but I think this place is pretty legit. The prices are affordable and the food tasted so good. The waitress spoke English and she did a great job! I would recommend this place to my friends and family :)

Back at one of my favorites!…read more Started with the Smoked Redfish Dip and, as always, it did not disappoint. Creamy, smoky, flavorful, and paired with warm crackers... an easy 10/10. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. So naturally I sent them back and ordered my tried-and-true favorite... Chargrilled Oysters with extra garlic butter, Parmesan, and bacon. Now THAT'S what I came for! Rich, buttery, cheesy, smoky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite reminded me why these are my go-to. And because brunch rules apply... it was only right to enjoy a pineapple mimosa (or two ). Light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for all that seafood. If you're visiting Goode Co. Seafood, my advice is simple: Don't skip the Smoked Redfish Dip. Order the Chargrilled Oysters. Add extra garlic butter. Thank me later. 9.5/10 -- I'll definitely be back! #LoveJonesEats #HoustonEats #GoodeSeafood #ChargrilledOysters #SeafoodLover #HoustonFoodie #BrunchVibes #MimosaMood #SupportLocal #FoodieFinds

Really enjoyed my visit to Hudson House…read more I tried the truffle parmesan fries, spicy tuna crispy rice, seared tuna salad, and a strawberry spritz. Extremely disappointed with Hudson House Rice Village…read more Incident happened Thursday, August 13th around 5:30 PM. I'm honestly so disappointed to even be writing this because I've been an avid Hudson House customer for YEARS. I used to go once a week when I lived in Dallas, and now that I'm in Houston, I'm at the Houston locations regularly. So this experience really rubbed me the wrong way. When I arrived at the Rice Village location, the front desk staff weren't particularly friendly, but I brushed it off. We got seated, enjoyed our meal, and when it was time to pay, I specifically asked for a physical check because I don't like any discrepancies with payments. Our waitress told us that they use the QR code system and that it would be much easier since we were splitting the bill, so we went ahead with that. I paid $78.47, including a 20% tip, and went to the bathroom. While I'm in the bathroom, there are TWO waitresses in there. One of them didn't even appear to be using the bathroom -- she was just standing there watching us. At that point, I'm thinking, Are they seriously monitoring us to make sure we don't leave without paying? Then I walk out of the bathroom and there's ANOTHER waitress basically guarding the exit. I look at her and say, "Oh, I didn't know that was an exit sign." Her response, verbatim: "You guys still owe $40 on your tab." I'm like... excuse me?! We absolutely paid. Then we walk a few steps and here comes the manager and another employee telling us we didn't pay. I immediately show them my receipt proving that I paid $78.47, including a 20% tip. The waitress then comes over apologizing and explains that there was a lag in the system and that it showed that we DID pay. So at this point, you'd think it would be over, right? Nope. As we're STILL trying to leave, the same two women at the front desk stop us and say, "Weren't y'all the girls sitting in that booth? You guys need to pay your bill." At that point, I was honestly disgusted. I'm not one to immediately play the race card, but I cannot ignore how discriminatory this entire interaction FELT. We were repeatedly singled out, followed, questioned, and essentially treated like we were trying to dine and dash -- even AFTER I provided proof of payment. And for context, I was there with three of my friends. We're educated, hardworking women -- two of us are PhD graduates, and another is an amazing nurse who literally spends her life saving people. None of that should matter because EVERY customer deserves to be treated with basic respect, but the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. Mistakes with a payment system happen. I completely understand that. What I don't understand is the way we were treated because of a mistake that wasn't ours. After being a loyal Hudson House customer for so long, this experience was extremely disappointing. I will absolutely NOT be returning to the Rice Village location, and honestly, I'd think twice before spending my money somewhere that makes customers feel like they're being watched and accused of stealing. Do better, Hudson House.
