Reza was a delightful Persian grill that we randomly came across on a Saturday late afternoon. We were seated right away and their table already has a plate of their fresh herbs (Sabzi Khordana) waiting for you. The ambiance was spacious and well lit, but began to get loud once the dinner crowd started arriving. Their menu is pretty straight forward and very informative for someone who isn't familiar with Persian food. Everything we ordered just tasted fresh and well seasoned. - kashke bademjan (sautéed eggplant with garlic, yogurt, mint). Paired well with their special bread topped with sesame seeds (yum!) - mix stews (half ghormeh sabzi and half gheymey bademjan). Get the best of both stews if you can't decide on one. Love this option. - Reza 4 specialty (lamb chop, kubideh, chicken, with cranberry rice and Persian salad). Large portion, easily for 2-3 people. Lamb chops were my favorite. I honestly enjoyed and would highly recommend coming here. The staff were quick, friendly, and efficient. Parking lot wasn't overwhelmingly packed. I will definitely return. Thank you, Reza!!

It our first time going to Reza Persian Grill and we really enjoyed the food!! The staff was super kind and helpful. The bread was amazing and super soft and chewy. We also got a hummus to pair with it. I got the Reza specialty 2 and my gf got the Reza specialty 3, and we both really liked what we ordered. The ground beef kebab was our favorite, and we want to try the lamb next time. Highly recommend

L4 on menu Lamb Shank w/basmati rice and fava beans $17

I had lunch here a few weeks ago for the first time. My party was promptly seated and after reviewing the menu I chose L4 which is the lamb shank for $17. The meal arrived in less than 15 minutes later and looked great on the plate. A big lamb shank served with basmati rice, dill and fava beans and it was a very good tasting meal. The meat was juicy and tender and rice and beans equally as good. Also at that price point, it was a real value. We all enjoyed our meals and the table service was very good too. I would be happy to come back.

It's been awhile since I've had Reza, as always the R2 completes my lunch or even dinner. You got the Beef Koobideh and the Chicken Barg with their Cranberry Rice and Hummus. Of course the complimentary bread with their cheese and herbs and their Persian tea always is a nice touch.

I love this restaurant! The chicken is perfectly made and seasoned to perfection. Their ghameh was also very delicious. Everything they have is delicious. This Persian restaurant is ranked top 5 in my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants.

I didn't get the rice with the cranberries in it because I just prefer a plain rice, but the meat I got was perfectly seasoned and cooked well. The cubed chicken and the koobidah were both great. The tandoori bread was awesome, and the mint drink was good as well. The décor inside is beautiful and trendy, but also looks timeless. I would return.

I really liked the food, especially in the koobideb was fantastic. They also serve kotlet, which is one of my favorite dishes and not commonly found in any other restaurant. The homemade bread also tasted fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Pricing is also great.

#NAZC2024 I've been enjoying Reza for years--whether it's dining in, takeout, or catering for parties! Their service is consistently amazing, from the owner to the wait staff--always friendly and accommodating. Their restaurant has plenty of seating, is simply decorated, and has plenty of parking. Recently, I was blown away by their generosity. Thank you, Reza, for donating a fantastic meal to our NAZC Event! The chicken kabob was packed with flavor, the beef kabob was perfectly juicy, and the rice brought everything together beautifully. And let's not forget the adorable hummus cup--creamy, savory, and the perfect touch. Thank you again!

Their Impossible kubideh in particular genuinely surprised me - in the best way. I don't usually gravitate toward meat substitutes at all, and I've tried making kubideh and ghormeh sabzi at home. It just never comes close to this. It's not often I find restaurants where the vegetarian options don't feel like an afterthought, but Kasra absolutely gets it right. My whole family looks forward to it every time we order.

It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to

It didn't have that metallic, irony taste like liver which I hate thankfully either. The tomatoes were juicy and charred well with a refreshing taste. The bread the veggies that came out were very good. The appetizer sampler we got the eggplant dish, hummus, and yogurt and shallot. The hummus was not our favorite as our other go to Persian places seem to have a smoother texture but the eggplant was good. The yogurt was pretty tangy with light shallot flavor that wasn't super detectable but it was still nice. The koobideh was juicy and the rice and tahdig that came with it was super yummy. I don't love the seasoning for the chicken koobideh but that's just a preference thing nothing was wrong or unpleasant about it. The lamb koobideh was on point. The meat that my SO had was very good as well. Beef was tender. The chicken was tender. The only thing I was confused about was that my SO was supposed to also have tahdig on his rice but didn't receive it, he just got normal rice. My SO didn't tell me until the very end of the meal though so we didn't say anything to them but it was strange to forget that part of the meal. We didn't knock them for that because my SO didn't bring it to their attention and I'm sure they would have fixed it if we told them. Service was very friendly. They kept checking on us and were very polite. The outside of the restaurant is unassuming in a strip mall but the inside is pretty. There are some other Persian places that we prefer but the tahdig and the service and the juiciness of the meat were great here. The hummus was not our favorite though which to us is a big component that we like to eat. 4/5.

We were just told to sit down, only on the right side of the dining area. Thought they would bring out the food. They rang a bell and called out a number. I looked at my receipt, saw the number and told my husband that we had to pick it up. It looks like a full service restaurant, but it's not. My husband walked up to the cashier's counter, expecting the order. The cashier pointed him to the other dining area. It was just placed on top of the food case, no counter. Someone verified it was our order before he took it. I'm short and if I were picking up a bowl of their lentil soup and can't see if the soup is level, there could be a spill. The lamb shank was good, but we had to ask for the sauce that normally comes with it. She brought it. The butter was melted, so dripped over the rice easily. I guess it was too much to ask that the bread plate include feta cheese like at other Persian restaurants. I don't recommend coming in late as the bread was very hard. Dipping it in the sauce helped.

Building memories. So wonderful. A decade later, we are still are having family dinners at Bijan. During the pandemic, this was the last place that we ate before everything closed down and it was one of the first when we decided to eat out again as a family.
