We had two Enchilada meals delivered from El Nido last night. They were both a disappointment. One was a 'Enchilada Ground Beef Rojas'. Thy over cooked the ground beef with no seasoning or sauce. The enchilada was topped with cheese. The other meal was a 'Floutas en mole' It was a way over cook chicken where it was hard with no sauce of seasoning in it. These people do not know what they are doing. There are to many good Mexican restaurants. Also, This container was $6.00 worth of Guacamole for dipping in with chips.

Old school, home style Mexican food. Had the fajita burrito/wet. Was large with very mild flavors. 1st basket of chips/salsa is free. Relaxed service. Note: happy hour advertised on the exterior is different than what it really is---that is not everyday.

Food was average. Guacamole needed more salt or flavor. The bronco vegetarian burrito had too many carrots and those were undercooked. Enchiladas were dry after being cooked, but asked for sauce on the side. Appreciated the free chips and salsa. Staff was nice to give jalapeños on the side. Food came out fast. Seating outside was pleasant but wish there was more lighting outside. Heaters outside if needed as it gets later or colder.

Albondigas soup was comforting. Good flavor, filling... perfect for soup weather. Overall, food was delicious. Love their refried beans! Tastes like your abuela cooked them for days - smooth and creamy! Chili Verde plate was bomb! My son devoured his entire dish. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Love the traditional Mexican decor and all the parrots hanging from the ceiling.

Was craving chicken soup and El Nido's Mamas Chicken Soup is soup perfection! Plenty of veggies, cooked perfectly, lots of chicken and the rice and broth are fantastic!! Highly recommend when you are looking for a bowl of comfort! Huge portion, so I will easily get two meals out of it! Also, when I picked up, the woman was very friendly and food was ready when it said it would be!

One of our favorite go to ! We always get the absolute best service from Yeni & Sandy & Julia ( owner) The food is always delicious & tasty our favorites are the Posole ( when in season ) & Mama's chicken soup add jalapeños squeeze fresh lime juice ~ muy deliciouso! which is absolutel full of fresh vegetables. We usually always get the carnitas Diablo & the Patron margaritas or Carnitas Nachos. We will shears continue to come here b/c we get exceptional service from Yeni she is very attentive & she pretty much knows what we order every time we come out in! We come in at least nice or twice a month & always enjoy the great service & delicious food. Y'all need to give it a try it's pretty dang delicious!

My Nana and I have dined here twice. Both times, the service and food have been inadequate. Food we've tried: * Chips and salsa: 8/10 - I like that the chips are served warm. I asked for extra hot salsa and it was muy caliente! I had to ask for the hot salsa 3 times. * 2 item combo with crispy chicken taco, chicken enchilada with verde sauce: 5/10 - Got my crispy chicken taco wrong. Instead I got a soft chicken taco. Chicken enchilada with verde sauce was tasteless. There was hardly any verde sauce. Got my sour cream and guac on the side. * 1 carne asada street taco a la carte: 6/10 - I've ordered this on my previous visit. This time around, there was hardly any carne asada on my taco. There was more cilantro and onion than carne asada. * 3 item combo with beef chimichanga, crispy chicken taco and enchilada roja: 5/10 - This was Nana's order. He said it was just ok. * Chile Relleno: 4/10 It was more like a chili inside of a tortilla. More like a chili enchilada. Drinks: * 2 classic house margaritas: 3/10 Very weak. Tasted like limes, water and sugar. Also asked for it on the rocks and salted rim. Delivered to our table without salt. And when I asked for the salt, the waitress gave us iodozed table salt. Boo! Ambiance: 9/10 I like the decor. Very festive. Service: Both times we dined here, the service was below average. The waitresses always got something wrong with our order. And they are not very friendly. Drinks are never on point. Both times they forgot the salt for my margaritas. I'm still on the search for a good Mexican restaurant. Will I be back again? Probably not...

The interior is not so big but adequate to seat a fair amount of people and they also have seats outside so that's a plus. Complimentary chips and salsa is always good and addicting! I ordered the two item meal, where I chose the chili relleno and chicken flauta. The beans and rice were delicious. The portions are a bit smaller compared to other Mexican restaurants I've dined at. The meat was a bit dry and the cheese inside my relleno wasn't all the way melted. The flavors were there and the staff was friendly.

3 item combo with Tamale (Masa was way too hard)

After being told by my bf that I had to try this Mexican restaurant as part of his family's Mexican food restaurant trifecta, I can here with my bf and a couple of my friends on Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly since we got there pretty early for dinner. Once seated, we ended up ordering quite a few things. My bf got a three item combo, my friend got a two item combo, his girlfriend got the beef Colorado dinner plate, and I got the steak fajitas. My bf ordered Pepsi while the remaining three of us got Horchatas. My bf said his three item combo was only average. Apparently he had a tamale in his combo but the masa was super hard. The other two items I guess were just average. My friend and his gf however both enjoyed their food. And I enjoyed my fajitas. So it may depend on what you order whether something is good or not. However, while my friend and his gf liked the horchata, I wasn't a huge fan of it. Not sure what was added, but it's definitely not normal horchata. There was a strange floral taste to it which I wasn't sure what it was from. It was also a bit on the bland side. So while I probably would come back here for specific food, probably best to go without a drink next time.

Very good service! They're also attentive and constantly asking how the food is or if you may need anything without being over bearing. It's great! The ambiance is fun too! The inside has a really nice design wrapping around the building, there's a salsa bar for your plate or chips. Everything is always clean, no sticky floors, super clean bathrooms and tables are always wiped down nicely. The food is absolutely delicious! That last time I came with my sister and I usually get the chile verde plate, it was phenomenal! It tasted better than it ever has and it made me so happy! It was a little spicy which was great and the pork was cooked to perfection. This place really just keeps getting better and better. I want wait to come back! We love it here

There's a ton of seating inside, and everything is very spacious. Though, I do have to say it always feels incredibly empty for some reason and there's never anybody actually inside outside of a few tables, but they do have tons of takeout so perhaps that's the tradeoff. However, don't let the lack of eating patrons inside the place put you off. This taqueria offers a good variety of different options as any taqueria would offer, and many of the options have pictures and stuff with it. The service here is, kind of hit or miss. The people in the front usually aren't overly friendly, and will sometimes feel like they're just there until the clock turns work over. Sometimes they're bordering on rude as they just kind of give you an indifferent stare as you're ordering, or will just feel as if they're half listening and not even looking up. The service was a bit better when I dined in, so perhaps maybe it's just the takeout, although it's usually the same person for both. Price wise, it's certainly not going to be cheap. If you want the best bang for your buck around here, El Aguila probably won't be it as there's a plethora of taquerias in this area. Food quality wise, it's pretty good overall. There are some tasty dishes here that will certainly warrant the little bit of extra cost here compared to other places. Things that I have tried here are the burritos and the torta. The burritos here are yummy as they they will have ingredients inside the burrito that is slightly different than your cookie cutter burrito at any other place. It really does help adds layers of flavor to it that other places do not offer. However, the best part of it is indeed the fact they grill the outside of the burrito to get that nice flakiness that wrap, and makes it a oh so rewarding experience. Meat portions was okay, but wish it had more especially for the cost. The torta I got was pretty good, as the ingredients inside were pretty typical so nothing really stood out. The break was toasted well, but I do wish it was a bit softer as it may have been to toasted. Should be toasted outside and soft inside, but this one just felt toasted all over. The meat portion also suffers from the same issue as the burrito as that it's not as generous as it could be. However, the flavors and taste were fine. It's certainly a nice place for those who want a bit of a different style of their Mexican cuisine. They have some flavors here that will be atypical of most of the cookie cutter taquerias around. While they are a bit expensive comparatively, the portions are actually decent (minus the meats). You can certainly be filled with just a single burrito. Worth a visit.
