Absolutely love coming here! This is mg family and is favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!! Anytime we're in the area of San Ramon/ Danville wanting Mexican food, this is our spot! We've been coming here for years and honestly, the quality of the food just keeps improving with every visit! The hostesses and waitresses are so kind and helpful, they are very flexible too whether or not you'd like to sit outside, have children or even animals with you. They're very accommodating! Very good service! They're also attentive and constantly asking how the food is or if you may need anything without being over bearing. It's great! The ambiance is fun too! The inside has a really nice design wrapping around the building, there's a salsa bar for your plate or chips. Everything is always clean, no sticky floors, super clean bathrooms and tables are always wiped down nicely. The food is absolutely delicious! That last time I came with my sister and I usually get the chile verde plate, it was phenomenal! It tasted better than it ever has and it made me so happy! It was a little spicy which was great and the pork was cooked to perfection. This place really just keeps getting better and better. I want wait to come back! We love it here read more

This has been our go-to Mexican restaurant since they opened. Food has been good, but they started charging for chips unlike most other restaurants. Tonight, however was a defining point. We edited over 10 minutes and in spite of having 3 servers walk past us without a simple acknowledgement. We walked out which is something of which I can't ever remember doing with any restaurant. Given the impending opening on another Mexican restaurant with great reviews, it is imperative that Los Panchos gets their act together. It remains to be seen if we return. read more

If you are looking to have your party catered from this place order twice as much as you think . The owner helped me put together a menu for 50 people. She said the food that I ordered would be more than enough. The food was almost $800.00 We picked it up and only had 34 people show up . A mix of kids and adults we ran out of food so embarrassing to not have enough food for everyone. I will not order from them again. I did call and let them know . read more

Los Panchos serves standard Mexican faire. The restaurant has a kitchen on the right side of the restaurant with a lattice barrier between the kitchen and inside seating. This is a nice touch for restaurants shaped like this We ate outside on their covered patio. Seating felt cozy and appealing without feeling cramped. The tortilla chicken had nice flavors. The pulled pork plate had plenty of meat with excellent flavor Our server was friendly and helpful. With costs rising, they charge $3 for unlimited chips for up to four people. Stopped in for the first time for lunch. I was craving some crunchy tacos and this place has some yummy ones. I only like crunchy tacos when it's prepared as tacos dorados which is when they put the meat in the tortilla and the whole thing is deep fried. My buddy has the flauta plate and that looked good too and he finished all of it. Good salsas and for margaritas. Skinny spicy margarita for the win!!! I'm housesitting in Danville and decided to spend some time roaming around this beautiful area. While doing so I became really hungry but have no idea where to go. I looked on Yelp and I decided to have lunch here today. I'm pleased with my choice, the food was really good and the service was great. I ordered the combination plate with two items which were the cheese enchilada and a crispy ground beef taco. The food came out really fresh tasty and appealing to the eye. What more can you ask for. Not for me, I ordered the dip sampler (3 Stars) The salsa and bean dip were good. The guacamole was under seasoned. Then I ordered the Carne Asada Plate (2 Stars) It came with pre cut strips of carne asada, that are ready made for burritos (cheap burritos), not very good quality. I guess if you covered the strips with all the standard burritos stuff and roll up in a tortilla, it not bad, but a carne asada plate should be a medium rare skirt steak cut into strips. The beans and rice were ok, no issues. The grilled Mexican green onion was a nice touch. I'm not sure I'll be back.. read more

I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. The carne asada in the fajitas was so tough that my jaw started aching after trying to eat just one taco. That has never happened to me before. Our drinks and waters were never refilled, and the music was so loud that I could barely hold a conversation with the person sitting next to me. Bartender Alina was sweet and super busy. Food was delicious. I live in Manteca and I frequent a local favorite El Jardin. I yelped a Michelada and decided to check Los Panchos out for dinner while I was traveling for work. To my surprise, I spotted a bar tucked in the back. Sitting there sounded way better than sweating outside in the heat or sitting alone at a table. The employees and regulars were super friendly and welcoming. One cute little older regular mentioned the waitress was a bit busy, so she went straight to the bar to grab her own drink right off the bar -- loved the honesty and humor there. I ordered, caught up on social media and emails, and finally watched a few videos I'd been meaning to get to. Chatted with a few locals. Dinner was good -- definitely worth the stop! read more

The best bean rice and cheese burrito you'll have by far, takeout or in the restaurant. The guac and bean dip both get a 10/10. If you're of age try a margarita with your meal, they are delicious and do the trick. read more

Came here with my son while traveling. The food and service were both great. Loved the salsa bar and various options to choose from. My son had a burrito that was the size of a newborn! It was massive and he said it was delicious. I had the shrimp tostada and it was great. I'd order it every time. Sat at a high top and got to watch some college football while enjoying our meal. I became familiar with this restaurant from a restaurant crawl that my wife's sorority had months ago. It was definitely tasty, and I decided I was going to go back. It's just taken a little while. Rice. It's all about the rice. I've come to realize that when it comes to Mexican restaurants, they go the way of the rice. Los Panchos had excellent rice. It was fresh, and I did not have the dried out grains that other places have. The enchiladas and tacos were very tasty and my daughter raved about her chicken tortilla soup. Technically, she raved about mine, because she ended up eating most of it. We got there about 815pm on a Saturday night, which is about 45 minutes from close. For that reason, it wasn't very busy. I'm not sure how it would be during a more busy time. But, our waitress was very friendly, recommending different choices for my daughter. This is definitely going to be put into rotation when we want Mexican food again. read more

Good food but keep an eye on the bartenders. Several times Ive come in and paid for an upgraded "Cadillac Margarita". They conveniently forget to give you the Grand Marnier float. Then when you point it out they say they didnt hear you or forgot. I worked in the restaurant industry and know they are manipulating "pour cost". read more

Beware of this place!!!!!! I went last night with my family and everything was an EXTRA CHARGE and on top of that they don't tell you. My 10 year old son's meal cost $17.99 which is insane to me for 2 tacos and they charge extra for chicken and steak and onions and cilantro. What comes with a taco then? We have been coming here for a very very long time, seems be new management or something. Our food took so long to get on top of that. I called the manager today and he says that's their service and that's how they do things there which is crazy to me that you charge for onions and cilantro on a taco when it should come with that. DO NOT order the chicken tortilla soup unless all you want is broth. Last week, my family got a to-go order that included two bowls of chicken tortilla soup. We have always loved it in the past. This time, however, both bowls were basically broth only with a small bit of chicken at the bottom. We assumed someone had forgotten to stir the pot. When we called to let the manager know what we received, we were told that we could have two complimentary soups with our next order, which we really appreciated. Tonight, we got our two free soups to-go. Once again, both contained broth only with a fleck or two of chicken. Clearly, that is how they make their tortilla soup now. Now we know to never order it again. I recommend they change the name of the soup to chicken tortilla broth. Considering the high price of food right now, customers should at least know what they are getting. I will stick with the tacos from now on. read more

I stumbled upon this place as I work in San Ramon a few days a week .The bartender was so friendly and very accommodating .He was very observant and always got me what I needed.Some bartenders just look at you and then never ask you if you want food or not .This place was very quaint and a cute little hideaway spot after work ! The service was really nice-they turned on the heaters for us when we asked and our server chatted to my family and I about college. The food was big portions, and the happy hour margs were a good deal. Unfortunately, our entire party got a nasty bout of food poisoning (we all ordered burritos). In between sprints to the bathroom, my father phoned the restaurant to report our ailments. Management (Celeste) stated "no one else got sick" and made it seem like it was our fault that we got sick from their food! How atrocious! They promised to call us back once speaking to the owner, and well.. it's been a week and no word. "Friendly Service, Okay Food, Watery Salsa." We were quickly greeted by two friendly servers and soon had a bowl of chips and salsa in front of us. Unfortunately, the salsa was tasteless and watery. I later mentioned this to the server and she agreed and noted they had a problem that day with that item. Since that's the first thing customers taste, this is not a great way to start a meal. My wife and I each ordered the two item combination plate, with one enchilada and one taco. The food was pretty tasty, and accompanied by a massive quantity of Spanish rice and refried beans. We could not eat half of this meal. So unless you're a growing teenage boy, you could probably share a combination plate. Of course there are many other items without the rice and beans. I think next time I will go for a la carte. I discovered that draft beer was only $3 today, due to Happy Hour. They charge for chips, $3 per person. The dining room is a long rectangle, with mirrors on one wall. The reflection makes the dining room seem much larger than it is. So all together, an okay visit. I appreciated the friendliness of the two young servers. However, I think there are better alternatives, such as Mexxis. read more

If you want authentic Mexican food this is the place to be. it was our first time here and it did not disappoint at all. The service was quick and friendly and just gave us enough time to decide what we wanted to order. I opted for the two item entrée, chili relleno and a pork tamale. The portions are huge and it came out piping hot! The dish also included delicious rice and beans. I felt nice and festive inside and they even have outdoor dining in the front. Came here yesterday for dine in yesterday after my boyfriend had been wanting me to try it for the longest time (dine in version). Got the Chile Colorado plate alongside a horchata drink and it was so good. Personally the horchata at Los Panchos was more my type since El Nido's was...strangely floral/herbal than what I'm used to. The Chile Colorado was amazing. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. The mole sauce was also really good alongside the rice. Wrap it all up in a flour tortilla and the refried beans and it's probably one of the best plates I've had as far as Mexican food goes. Usually my stomach isn't one for oily or super cheesy food so this one which was more meat based alongside others was definitely the right choice. Supposedly the tamale is pretty good but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. The only strange bit was the chips/salsa. Supposedly if you get takeout, you get free chips/salsa. But dine in wise, you have to pay like another $3 or so. Most Mexican restaurants give free chips and salsa along meals so not sure what's up with this little caveat. read more

Walked in at noon and was able to sit right away. Welcomed as soon as I arrived. I ordered chilaquiles with pork in a green sauce and it was by far the best I've ever had! Music was great as my daughter enjoys country music. I do recommend, we stopped in our way back home. read more
