Diablo Taqueria is hands down our favorite quick meal stop in Danville. It has become a regular family go-to whenever we need something fast, delicious, and kid friendly. The tostada is absolutely amazing. It is fresh, flavorful, and consistently good every time we visit. My kids love the kids meals, especially since they come with a drink and a side, which makes ordering easy for parents. We also really appreciate that they include complimentary chips with your order. It is such a nice touch and makes the experience feel extra welcoming. The restaurant has really fun artwork too, including a hilarious chicken and egg with legs that always makes my kids laugh. Great food, quick service, and a genuinely family friendly spot. So far we have ordered from DT around 4-5 times. Multiple times via door dash, and so far the experience has been wonderful. The packaging is excellent, the food usually nice and hot. We have ordered the cheese enchilada, the super quesadilla (with grilled chicken), the regular wet burrito, and the chicken tacos. It seems that the winner of all of these among our family is the super quesadilla, second runner being the cheese enchilada. My husband loves the rice, but I feel like it could have more flavor. Wish they would top their refried beans with cheese by default, but really I am very happy overall with the service and food quality and expect to be a regular patron for lunch and dinner. :) read more

Yes lots of parking spaces and very clean outside so kudos to you guys. When you walk inside you are greeted by the staff. The place has nice decore. We decided to try this place because as we were leaving from another place you could smell how yummy the place smelled. I wanted tacos so bad so we decided to get some. I decided to get 2 alpastor tacos my wife decided to get 2 carne asada tacos and we got a coke to share. The cashier gave us a beeper thing to let us know when our was ready. The cashier brought our food to our table it smelled really good. We also got chips and salsa with our meal. I'm going to be completely honest and say it was very disappointing. I thought it would be good honestly but there was no taste to these tacos. My wife even said "it taste like the meat is boiled and then cooked in a pan and just put in the tortilla with cilantro and lime" I said yeah mine is missing flavor. I finished eating one as I was about to eat a bite from the other taco I saw my taco had a fruit fly that alone had me almost throwing up. My wife stopped eating her taco and said you wanna tell them? I said no I just wanna leave this is so nasty I'm sorry but I can't right now. We decided to pick up our stuff clean the table and leave. There has been a parade of failed businesses in the spot Diablo occupies. I think this one is here to stay. Diablo has been my go to taqueria in Danville. Prices are fair, portions good, good selection (but no tamales). The salsa verde carnitas is by far my favorite. I can eat that all day. read more

What a great find! Small dainty shop, some seating inside and out. You order at the counter and then wait for them to call you. We grabbed a plate of nachos, burritos and quesadillas to go. Portions are large, and plenty to eat for the next day. Prices are steep for a taqueria but it's Danville. The quality of meat was really good and filling. The horchata was also really good. One of the few places to get Al Pastor tacos that actually taste like the better places in the South Bay. Diablo's chicken items are also yummy and the prices are quite reasonable. Those who know me well, know that my favorite type of food is a well run taqueria. There's just something about a perfectly cooked street taco eaten with a side of refried lard based bean, spanish rice and an abundance of salsas and maybe some guac on the side. That combi is exactly what drew me to the new Diablo Taqueria on the Westside by the highschool in my hometown of Danville. The prior restaurant was the "Dog" never had the inclination to venture inside when it was the Dog, but once the place converted to a taqueria, I was drawn like a moth the flame. I ordered my usually carnitas street tacos with rice and beans and a side of chips and guac. Stupendously, warm and juicy carnitas, with the perfectly moist, but still structurally secure double wrapped corn tortillas. The chips, rice and bean were as always the stars of the show as well. Was craving a burrito and as someone who lives in Danville the first place to go would be Chipotle. I was feeling like authentic and found this place. It is in Downtown Danville on Hartz. It's small, a few tables but it's clean. The super pretty cashier was very nice and unlike Chipotle looked happy to be there LOL. I ordered super burrito with no guac and the ingredients tasted clean. Nothing was overly seasoned, I think it was a perfect burrito. Big portion of food for the price. Quality of ingredients was good. Good value so what's the issue? While technically cooked well, some of the flavors were lacking. Got the chicken platter with mole sauce to go. The tortillas were warm. The guac, salsas, beans and rice were basic but tasty. Don't know what was lacking but the balance of salty, sweet, bitter, sour and umami was off. Maybe they didn't toast the spices and aromatics or added plain water instead of stock. More likely they just used the stuff from the grocery straight from the jar. Looked and smelled like rich, dark mole sauce. But once it hit the tongue, it didn't deliver on taste. Won't give up just yet. Perhaps ordered the wrong thing? Could be a fresh batch of sauce that just needed a few more hours simmering? Next time will try the quesadillas or burritos. I just went to this great little spot k my to find out they have bern there there's years! Growing up in San Diego my bar is pretty high when it comes to amazing simple Mexican food. I grew up on it. JOSE's Del Mar (Mic drop). Alfonzo's, The Court Room...... Sorry got lost for a minute. This Diablo nails it! Food is abundant, flavor is on point, and (unlike other Mexican restaurants) I don't feel like I'm supporting some crazy extended families in the price of the food! You guys know who you are, Jake! Love ya, but your food has gotten less great, and the prices are insulting. My hope is this little place sets the bar for price/quality, and gets the other restaurants to wake you up. Love their food. One of the best burritos in the area. Only one small complaint. I don't like rice on my burrito. I closely watch the cashier ring up my order and make sure they enter no rice. We waited embarrassingly long to try this place having moved over from the Peninsula several years back and struggling to find a good taqueria that rivals our go-to places in Redwood City and San Mateo. Of all the ones we've tried between Walnut Creek to San Ramon, this one hits the spot the best. The service is awesome and the place overall is clean and well organized. All good signs. The food itself is great, nice quality, fresh ingredients. Prices are more than fair. I'll admit that doesn't quite hit the five stars of our old go-to places but it definitely fills the void that kept us driving back across the Bay far too often for our fixes. read more

I went to Diablo Taqueria for the first time a week ago and I ordered the Steak Quesadilla Supreme and it was delicious. However, I went back three days later and ordered a Steak Quesadilla, but this one had a scant amount of steak compared to my first one. I was disappointed because the first one I got was so good! Came back and it was just as good, if not better. The employees here are very nice and also speak Spanish which only adds to the authenticity :) the chips are really yummy and addicting. Guac was very fresh and even tossed it on the wet burrito. The wet burrito was delightful and full of good steak, rice, beans and cheese. Also didn't feel too heavy. We sat outside at the tables.
