I was a little skeptical of this place. It's pretty new in Dublin & so I was apprehensive to try it. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it. We had the nachos & burritos. My husband had the chile relleno burrito & I had the carne asada. They were both very flavorful & good portion of meat! The churro was good too! Great selection of salsa too ! All homemade. I got another Mexican place to go to in Dublin. One note though. They don't seem to have free water. I've never encountered this before & I believe California requires restaurants to provide this. ok - so I'll preface this with what I mentioned in my original review, which is that this place has the best salsa and I love pairing the Dorito pinwheel things with the green jalapeño creamy salsa. Now it gets weird. They ALWAYS used to include a mini cup of each of the salsas in my delivery orders. Last four delivery orders, they stopped giving the green jalapeño salsa. So because I love it so much, I specifically order an 8oz tub of it. Guess what they delivered? Not the jalapeño salsa but rather their other green one which is a garlic salsa. Could've reported it and received a DoorDash refund, but i left it alone. The last two deliveries, they also did not include the dorito pinwheels like they always do, so I drive there to get 'em. Even gave them $5 for something free, bc ya know - just helping a business out and the owner guy is nice and was apologetic. Now today, I was in the area, so i stopped in for a taco, agua fresca, a large bag of those pinwheel doritos and an 8oz tub of the jalapeño salsa especially because the salsa bar was empty and the other orange one i like was not made well this time. So watery yuck. The girl taking orders didn't seem like she was well versed in punching orders into their system. Took awhile for her to enter those 4 items I ordered and needed to grab one of the other staff to help her, but whatever - still tipped her 18%. Then, why in the world would they finish up my order then tell me they're completely out of the jalapeño salsa and then ask if I want an 8oz tub of another salsa? So at this point, it seems they're trying to do the same thing as when i ordered this specific salsa for delivery and hope i'll be ok with something else, right? It also looked almost performative when the girl opened the cabinet under the salsa bar looking for more jalapeño salsa before she told me they were completely out. I respond with "that's the only salsa I wanted. I can wait while they make more. can they make more?" she says no. twice. I let her know that I wanted to be refunded for the salsa and bag of dorito pinwheels. All of a sudden they magically found more jalapeño salsa. All of this to say I'm now absolutely convinced the staff is trying to hoard this specific salsa for whatever reason. Like i said, it's delicious, but not a reason to freakin hoard it for yourself when that's a reason your customers come back. I'll also add that the quality of the food these last two times around was no bueno. The amount of lengua and garnish in my taco was just sad. Literally, the taco I ordered today is the same taco I have pictured in my original review, but then opened it up when i got home and looked nothing like it did before. I've recommended this place to my coworkers and now I take it back and it seems the other Yelpers agree that this is no longer the place we loved. Definitely taking a break from this place. To the owner - I think when you're not there, your team is unfortunately letting you down and giving your customers a different food experience then what you provide and are known for. read more

Found gem of Mexican place in Dublin now and surely the best in tri-valley. We ordered the grilled chicken and shrimp tacos and both were amazing. We came in on Friday to our usual Mexican favorite here in Dublin. As always, the service was great and their large variety of offerings always allows us to keep things fresh since we come so often. However, this review is only towards the quality of the food we received and what was offered on the chips and salsa bar. We ordered our usual lengua on soft tacos, and al pastor supper burrito. While waiting for our order, we'll pig out to the chips and salsa on the side. One thing we noticed: the salsa wasn't tasting fresh today and the grilled chili's and vegetables tasted off and old. A sign that we're eating food prepped for a couple of days ago. When receiving our order, the meats inside our food didn't taste fresh and a little lower in quality and taste. My burrito came with a whole couple of slices of raw onion which was strange, and the lengua tasted old. After our meal, my gf and I felt uncomfortable for a couple of days worried that this might be food poisoning, and instead maybe just disgust from eating poorly made or unkempt food. Regardless, what may have been our regular Mexican spot for great food and unlimited chip offering, just got put on the spot for us to avoid. With a myriad of inconsistencies with their food, we just can't recommend Dublin taqueria anymore. Sorry! read more

After picking up our Princess from the kennel, we needed food! My wife said Mexican and I asked her to find someplace to go on yelp. We were pretty close to Dublin Taqueria so we headed that direction. We parked right in front and there were two outside tables. One had some debris on it from another guest. I took the other table after I picked up and threw out a small serving tray of beans and salsa from under the table. My wife went inside to place our order. While the front of the restaurant needed some attention, the inside was clean and organized. Our order consisted of: Lengua Super Burrito - 5 - Very tasty and too much for one meal. Chile Verde Burrito - 5 - Extremely satisfying! Pollo Asado Taco - 3 - I wanted unseasoned chicken grilled for the Princess. Something got lost in the translation because we ended up with seasoned Pollo Asado. It wasn't particular spicy but we still only gave a few pieces to the dog. read more

The first impression I get when I walk in, is that it's CLEAN and Fresh!! Great Chips, Doritos and a multitude of salsas to choose from!! It's free and self serve! Beverages are self serve too. Also, I think they got a new "Lit up Menu"-nice!!!!! Found a large table for 10 friends and we had a great time. Service was quick and friendly. The food is good, but to refuse to give me a glass of water is against California state law. Over a 5 cent cup they have lost me as a customer. I am so disappointed. OMGoodness!!!!! Let me preface this with saying I wasn't even that hungry and I am Mexican so I often get disappointed when Mexican food LOOKS good but the taste is not there. This place however is so good! I randomly stopped here and I'm glad I did. It's my first time so I only tried the torta. Before trying the torta I tried the salsas while waiting and at that point I knew this place was going to be fire. The salsas are sooooo good! The curtido is good too! I got a torta with Lengua. Our go-to spot for Mexican food fix. We always do take out though so haven't experienced dining in here. The orders are super easy to place online, typically take 15-25 minutes and they are ready for pick up. The service is fast and good, we have never had any issues with our orders. The best part about this Taqueria is that they offer plenty of substantial vegetarian options and by substantial I mean there is a protein option (paneer) for vegetarians instead of the usual lettuce and a couple grilled veggies that most places offer. I also like the fact that the food is not dropping with oil or excessive cheese, feels fairly healthy. Favorites are the paneer tacos, enchiladas and the burritos. read more

Came by on a Thursday evening to pick up dinner. The restaurant was clean and their shared parking lot was not full, so parking was not a problem. The woman taking orders was friendly and patient while I checked out their menu. They have a self service salsa and chips bar with lots of options (fire roasted salsa, carrots and onions, green sauce, etc) Items ordered: 2 horchatas- Good and not too sweet or thick. I have had better but this was fine. Al pastor & birria 2 taco plate with homemade tortillas- Flavor was just ok and their portion size was fairly large. They do charge extra for homemade tortillas and they were too thick for my taste. Carnitas plate- Generous portion of meat but the flavor was just okay. Rice flavor and the cactus salad were okay. 2 crispy chicken tacos- I ordered this for my kid and he did not eat it. Kids' chicken strip meal with fries- This was perfectly done and their fries were good. Churro- just okay, it had some filling inside I really liked their fire roasted salsa and the little heat it brought. Overall, food was 3.5 and ambiance was 4. The breakfast burrito is a 3 for two reasons only, one of which most would never say but you'll understand my why. 4-5 for the business set up, ambience, and service. This place gets it and it is obvious a woman is in charge! Got the regular breakfast burrito with chicken Al pastor and black beans. The flavor was delicious. My issue was it asks if you want the tortilla wet or crispy. I said crispy. What is tricky is the inside is very soupy between the black beans sauce, the guacamole which is thin and runny vs thick and chunky and the sour cream which gets runnier because of the warmth of the burrito. So when you open it, everything falls out and the inside of the burrito is soggy. To add, the burrito is HUGE and heavy so it is very hard to eat even when cut in half. This is the never thought I'd say this part. I highly recommend they cut the contents by 1/3-1/2 as it'll make for a better burrito in many ways and cut the cost relatively as the $20 as is now is priced too high for what it is. Lastly if people want it bigger let them pay the $20 or more. The taste again is delish, just need a more functional burrito. I was driving to LA and needed something easy to eat and quick, that tasted good and was hoping for affordable but went with this due to location. The inside of the restaurant is spotless and a nice festive vibe. The owner greeted me (I believe) a woman who was ON TOP OF EVERYTHING in the restaurant. We have been to this taqueria (taco shop) a few times. I wanted to go with 4 1/2 stars, but we have to use whole numbers here. The friendly service makes me round up instead of down. I think the owners are always here. I say that because one man and one woman seem to care about the the place much more than employees would. First impression - The place is bright and clean, and the tables are spaced out enough that you aren't crowded. The menu is huge and it takes a while to navigate it. But if you have an idea of what you want, you can probably find it. They also have some specials that are not up on the menu board. Be sure to check the paper signs in the front window and around the cash register. The rest room is neat and clean - always a positive sign in a restaurant! When someone gets up to leave, the table is cleaned quickly. Service - Order at the counter, then have a seat. They will bring the food out to you. Chips, salsa, and drinks are self-serve. You can snack on the chips while you wait for the food. The sweet lady at the register always has a pleasant smile. Food - Delicious but sometimes inconsistent. The Alambre Beef is a family favorite, but we need to ask for extra sauce. Tip: If you buy 3 tacos, you can get them with the homemade tortillas (+$2.99). For a light meal, go with a couple tacos. Distinct "veggie lovers" section in big menu display. It also offers Indian paneer in some of the items. Other information 1. Ambiance is lively with mix crowd. You may find hard to find table if you hit peak hours. Around weekdays 12:45-1:15pm you may encounter Emerald high schoolers bringing in crowd. 2/ Once you are order, food is brought to your table. My favorite is grilled veggie burrito as very few places offer mushrooms apart from bell peppers/jalapeños. My wife loved paneer taco too. 3.Ask for "to go" cup if you want drinks post your food as by default come in mason jar. Water bottle costs 75 cents which some may find it odd. I will start with the negatives because they are few but very important: 1. If you order tacos they will say, "are home made tortillas ok?" You will say yes and not realize you just up charged yourself $2.99. 2. Drinks come in a glass mason jar with a handle, so if you want to take your drink to go after eating there then ask for a to-go cup 3. Water is only available in a bottle, but it is reasonable priced at $.75. I believe this is a counter to the waves of high school students they get from across the street, but I have not asked. 4. Their menu is very hard to read. Just very bright colors, lots of items. I would encourage them to analyze their sales and simplify the menu to the most popular items. They have a whole separate vegetarian menu instead of just offering noting which items are available to be ordered vegetarian. 5. The amount of meat you get is not as much as you might get at another taqueria, but it is tasty meat. I wanted to come on here and say that the tacos weren't great and even throw shade on the homemade tortillas; however, I brought my Hispanic coworker with me to test out the food and she was prepared to fight me. We concluded that homemade tortillas mean a lot more to those that grew up on them. Now some specific positive notes: 1. Their burritos are very good. I tried the wet burrito and everyone should, but whether you like it or not will just be a matter of taste regarding the sauce they pour over. I preferred their green over red sauce but ultimate prefer non-wet vs wet. 2. I will specifically say I like their carnitas meat here. We came here for belated Father's Day dinner with the fam bam and there was a spacious table for 7 for us at 6:30 pm on a Monday night. We waited for the rest of the family. We wrote a list of what each of us wanted to order since you order from the counter. In the meantime there was a condiment bar where you could have salsa and chips or those round wheelie snacks are abundant. No tab water is available but you could purchase bottled water or fountain drinks so I brought my own water bottle. Ordered the 2 taco steak combo with rice and black beans. I asked for a corn tortilla, and I was charged and additional $3.50 (cus its "homemade"). I was very disappointed with my torta de asada Firstly, they used a very small piece of bolio bread and packed it with pico de gallo. Been here several times and this place deserves a review. This has become my favorite Mexican place recently, but not everything is a hit. What I like are their soft tacos. I have tried different meats and my top ones are beef birria (birria de rez), chile verde, al pastor. I usually like lengua (beef tongue) in Japanese cuisine, but beef tongue here was so-so. I have tried their handmade tortillas and they were pretty good. However, I am not sure $3 for 3 tortillas is worth it. I also liked their quesadilla mediana. My wife was here one time and ordered the fish plate, but did not enjoy it as much. The chips and salsas bar has become the main attraction. I realized this is why I am there a lot. It is complimentary to your meal and I thoroughly enjoy it! They have 2 types of chips: tortilla chips and dorito chips. I get the pickled carrots as a palate cleanser and add the pickled onions to my tacos. The best sauce in my opinion is a mixed sauce: half garlic and half jalapeno. I cannot stop eating chips with this combo sauce. When it gets a bit too much, I dip the chips into my 2nd sauce: the tomato salsa with some hot chili oil. This is very different from the creamy garlic and jalapeno, but still tasty and gives it a slight kick. There is also a green taco salsa (not pictured) that I get and splash on my soft tacos. Service was phenomenal. The cashier was great! The food was authentic. The beans and rice reminded me of my mom's! I didn't know what I wanted to eat, so I asked the cashier what was her favorite dish. She recommended the Tacos de Alambre. Something that I haven't had in years, I decided to go for it. They were soooo good! I was also nursing a slight hangover so she recommended a Michelada with an icy cold Negra Modelo and it balanced me out! We were staying the weekend in the area, so we came the next morning and she was just about to open. She let us in a little early while she turned on everything, which was super nice. The next day I had the chilaquiles and added the alambre meat. She asked if I wanted it mixed with scrambled eggs and it was a fantastic suggestion! I recommend paying a bit extra for their homemade tortillas. Totally worth it! When staying nearby, this will be my spot for sure. I stopped by to pick up an online order locally and was craving a burrito, found that this spot was not even half a mile from where I was so I decided to check it out. It's a small taqueria with a decent amount of seating and very clean. I also like how big and brightly colored their menu screen, definitely the first thing I noticed as soon as I stepped inside. Service is pretty quick maybe less than 5 minutes for my food to come out, and they have a salsa + chip bar that you can help yourself too which is a nice bonus. I tried what looked like a guac/salsa chunky in texture and solid in flavor and their molcajete salsa also chunky with some nice heat (not too spicy). Burrito itself is solid the carne asada was not too fatty or chewy I think the rice was lacking a bit in flavor but everything else was pretty good (pro tip: ask for burrito "doradito" thank me later). Will definitely need to come back to try their pollo asado, I'm basic I know. They have pretty extensive selection of meat which isn't too common including "pollo al pastor" for those of you who don't eat pork but want that extra seasoned flavor. read more

This place is great! Finally decided to try it rather than my usual favorite taqueria, Los Pericos. The verdict is still out which is better since I have only been here just the one time now so I must return to try more dishes and decide which place has the best food. As far as ambiance and other factors like offering draft beer and Margaritas and very friendly service and cleanliness this place wins hands down! The chip and salsa bar is solid with lots of salsas and fresh chips. I only got to try a taco salad with carnitas but it was very good, fresh and large enough i had a hard time finishing it. My friends liked all their dishes to. I will be back! Update: Back Two weeks later. Tried the Chile Relleno and it was good. The taco salads still on point with excellent carnitas. Tried a Queso Birria taco and it was average at best. Shell needs to be crispier theirs was soggy, that was with the homemade tortilla. Meat wasnt very flavorful Still love the place but after two visits would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I have yet to try the rice and beans saw a review they were not good thats always a good indicator of the authenticity of a Mexican restaurant but I dont usually fill up on that stuff. I read Roy S' review for Dublin Taqueria and went immediately after to see if the hype is really legit. Welp, it is! It was delicious, like really really delicious! The food at Dublin Taqueria made my soul happy to the point where I'm dancing a bit with every bite while taste all the flavors. They have a fantastic salsa bar with phenomenal carrots and onions! We ordered the two enchiladas plate with red sauce, taquito plate, french fries, and 4 carne asada tacos. For beverages we had a mango Michelada and Jamaica , both were outstanding. Prices are reasonable with good size portions! Now as for the service, just WOW! They are unbelievably welcoming, warm, accommodating, and kind. The restaurant is very basic but very clean. The food here is so good. I had the Al pastor super burrito, and the burrito was decently-sized and packed with meat and ingredients. The salsas are also very yummy, and you can help yourself to as much salsa and chips as you'd like. My favorite would be the garlic salsa. They have heat lamp over the chips so they stay warm/fresh, and you can tell the chips are homemade too. Service - you order at the counter, and they bring food to you and bus your plate, which I did not expect. Ambiance - the restaurant was very clean and had a good amount of seating indoors. My only gripe about the place is they only offer bottled water, which they charge $0.75 for. Not bad at all! For the last 20 years, my go-to spot has been Taqueria Los Pericos, but I started visiting this new place recently. Their birria tacos are quite tasty, though I wish they were crispier. They offer a good selection of meats, but their beef birria and chile verde pork are definitely the standout options. The salsa bar is excellent, and the homemade guacamole is to die for! I hope this one is here to stay! read more
