I hate leaving bad review. This place was beautiful and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I hope we went there in a bad night because the food was sooo bland. We never send back food and had because it was just like cardboard. Maybe I'll try again but i was very disappointed.

Service was excellent, kept waters full and chips refilled. The food was pretty mid for the price. I got the mole and it was too sweet

I must admit, I went here with not too high expectations as I saw mixed customer reviews on many items here. But the place didn't disappoint. Was an amazing experience. The ambience, the food, the vegetarian options for my friends, the dessert, the complimentary chips n salsa. .all great. The portions look big but are good for a full meal of an adult. Definitely recommended. I ordered enjococado n the chicken was well marinated, soft and tasty. It came with 3 small tortillas and some rice.

Came here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night and had a reservation, so we were seated right away. They brought out complimentary chips and salsa for the table. Food: I ordered the two enchiladas plate. It comes with two enchiladas of your choice, rice, and fried black beans. - Suizas w/ Chicken (topped with green sauce & sour cream): 4/5 I think this one was slightly better than the Rancheras Enchilada w/ chicken. Cooked well and had good flavor. - Rancheras w/ Chicken (topped with red sauce, cotija & oregano): 4/5 Also not bad. Not too salty, but just wasn't amazing lol Service: Server was super friendly and funny. He was a cool guy and got all the orders correct. Pricing: A bit pricey imo because the food is just alright. They also charge a slicing fee if you bring your own cake. Ambiance: Nice outdoor atmosphere. I don't even know what it looks like inside, but it seemed like most tables are outside. They have outdoor heaters which is nice and it was clean :-) Parking: Downtown parking really depends on how busy it is. We had to park at least a couple blocks away Overall, not a bad restaurant, but not amazing ... Would only come back if I really wanted an enchilada...

This is probably the cutest little Mexican restaurant in Pleasanton! The ambiance is great, the service was quick and the mango margarita was fabulous! My friend ordered the steak and it was amazing. My meal wasn't soooo great, but the queso fundito was worth it!!

I would definitely come to this place again, given the atmosphere and location. However the food is okay. We ordered enchiladas and those came out fine, but the sides of rice and beans did not taste the greatest. I am a big fan of the chips and salsa service with a variety of salsa options. Overall great place especially for someone who does come to Pleasanton often.

Buffet menu, I would advise against attending their buffet. This was super bad (see review for details).

I heard great things about this place and my daughter just moved to Pleasanton so I made a reservation to eat here for Easter. Upon arrival I learned there was a prix fixe menu which was essentially a buffet. Our reservation was for 2 PM and after we were seated we were clued in that they were shutting the place down as we were being seated. We thought we should go but the servers showed us the buffet and encouraged us to grab a plate and eat. This buffet was HORRIBLE. Cold pancakes, sausage that was cold to the touch, several bins of food empty or missing. It was the worst buffet ever! Like the free buffet at the local Holiday Inn Express would blow this thing away. When I got the bill they charged us $45 per person which is straight up robbery. We wanted to still enjoy our Easter brunch and attempted to have a conversation at the table while we sipped our drinks but the servers kept grabbing our plates and cups and clearly wanted us out of there. So we arrived at 2PM for our 2PM reservation and were out of there by 3PM and down close to $300. My advice would be to not go to the place as they don't seem to be aware of the product they are serving and open appointments for time slots that they don't care to serve warm food in.

The asada tacos were easily the highlight--solid 8/10 and definitely the "hit" of the meal. The carnitas were decent (around a 5 or 6), and while the salsa verde was good, the other salsas lacked a deep, authentic sabor. However, as a Mexican who knows my beans, the refried beans were a major disappointment. They tasted like they came straight from a can and had a strange oil flavor that just didn't sit right. Pro Tip: Ask for extra lime and cilantro. They tend to go heavy on the onions but light on the greens. Their Chile de Árbol is great, but you'll need at least 4 or 5 limes to really bring the flavors out! the customer service was a 10/10 :) thanks ladies

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. So, I ordered my usual fish taco and shrimp taco with a Corona at the counter. There is a small chips and salsa bar next to the counter. Oddly, they provide VERY small paper bags to hold a few chips. That wasn't going to work for two hungry adults so I asked for a basket. That turned out to be an awkward ordeal. The owner/ manager ( not sure who) made kind of big deal about how "special" I am to be the only customer who gets a basket. We both thought it was awkward and rude at the same time lol. They have two small rooms to sit at a table. The tv was turned up when we were half way through the meal. It was much too loud for the small space. Another weird event. We couldn't wait to leave. Outdoor seating? There are a few small tables in the front of the restaurant, but the road noise was too loud for that option. Impressions The tacos were bland and unappetizing. I was very surprised how they lacked flavor. My husband had some kind of ala carte plate. He loves Mexican food! It was a disappointing meal for both of us. Suggestions The customer is the focus so you earn return visits. I think that was lost to the staff on this particular day. It's not a big deal to offer a bowl or basket for chips. If you have customers, especially who aren't watching tv, turning the volume up for the employees to hear is not going to make a good impression.
