    Chicken taco. Soft Tacos

This little hole in the wall could use some updating and a good scrub down but other than that this casual restaurant is a great place to eat. Their menu is expansive with plenty of choice for Mexican fairs. Their service was friendly. We have eaten here many times and the food has always been satisfactory. It is good, but not great. I ordered the shrimp in a garlic sauce. It was very mild in flavor. The rice and beans were just OK. My husband ordered two chicken tacos. One was chicken Asada and the other was just shredded chicken. He said the chicken asada was delicious but the shredded chicken was just bland. It's always a solid restaurant to get a quick lunch.

My family and I stoped here on our way home from the Bay Area. They weren't too busy for a Sunday afternoon so we were able to find a spot to sit for the 6 of us. The food was amazing and were very large portions for the price I give this review only 4 stars because it was very warm inside the restaurant which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. Hopefully that was a fluke and it isn't normally that hot inside. I will certainly order there again if we are in the area but if it's hot inside I'll have to take it to go.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. Grew up on this place so it's definitely my comfort food. The owners are great and the prices are reasonable. Could use some renovating tho but overall a great place.

Friendly quick and delicious food. One of my go to places!! Been a staple of Vacaville for many many years.

We arrived about 1 PM just after the lunch, rush and before happy hour. We ordered street tacos chicken tortilla soup and margaritas! Chips and salsa were delivered to the table minutes after we sat down. Hips came with three different sales including one with pineapple that was very tasty. The server was a very nice lady named Eunice. She brought us water and took our drink orders. I he margaritas came out fast and were flavorful with a nice kick to them. The restaurant itself was clean and had two sections to it as well as a bar. There were TVs all around, so we were able to watch a cooking show and some sporting events in between catching up with my besties. The food came out and everything was hot and fresh and if you know me that is vevery important! We finished off the chicken tortilla soup, which was seasoned really well and big chunks of chicken and avocado and lots of cheese. The street tacos were very good and just enough to get a taste. If you're ever in Vacaville and looking for Mexican food, I would definitely recommend stopping by.

The food is good and they make you feel welcome. Ambiance is simple and like what you might expect at a well run family owned diner. The restaurant is clean and it is calming to enter. I looked, and every customer appeared to be really enjoying their meal...It had that kind of ambiance. Hospitality is a very welcoming 6 stars. They are attentive and treat you nicer than you expect at a business. The food is served in very generous portions and they make a good, house made, horchata. I recommend ordering some. If grandkids are listening, I say the food is pulled up a bit by you're hospitality. Pico de gallo? A blended maybe cooked tomato chili salsa? Freshly chopped onion and cilantro? The rice is a bit bland, but when combined with the red wet burrito sauce, it is fantastic. I think a drizzle of that sauce should be on the inside of every burrito. I am a foodie, and I am giving you a full five stars overall, but recommend a little more fresh veggie. I only write reviews if establishments are excellent or somehow a disappointment. Tacos Jalisco is excellent and deserves your business.

I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. The restaurant has a bright, inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. A couple of tables hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but we quickly found a clean spot and settled in. The food arrived promptly, and overall we had a very enjoyable meal. I'd definitely stop here again.

I tried this place after hearing good things and ordered the nachos. The chips didn't have much salt or flavor and mostly tasted like fried oil. The meat was a bit dry, tough, and overly salty for my preference. I was also surprised they don't offer pico de gallo. Overall, the dish just didn't have the balance or freshness I was hoping for. One thing that would make a big difference is execution. Great nachos should be layered, whether dine-in or takeout, so that cheese and toppings are distributed throughout instead of only on top. That prevents ending up with dry chips halfway through. At the current price point, a little more attention to layering would really elevate the dish. I also noticed the onions were chopped inconsistently, with some large pieces and some very small ones. More uniform chopping would improve both texture and presentation. Eating out isn't inexpensive, so I naturally look for quality and consistency. This feedback is simply meant to be helpful, not critical. I truly believe small adjustments can make a big difference. For now, I'll stick to cooking at home or visiting some of my favorite out-of-town spots that consistently execute dishes well. Whether it's a small hole-in-the-wall or a high-end restaurant, when a kitchen understands proper technique and balance, it shows. When you know, you know.

The broth was savory and flavorful as is but with the added oregano, dried peppers, onions, and cilantro to my liking- it just made it even better! The best part was that you can either order it with pata or no pata. Shoooot, you don't have to ask me twice! I said I want the pata hahahaha that with tender and not overcooked tripe was just what I was wanting! If you love menudo, this is a place I'd recommend and go to get it regularly. Also, the tacos didn't come with any sides (rice, beans, etc.) which was unfortunate for the price. The In-Between: We found this place on Instagram based on a video review someone did.
