I've been coming here for years because it's convenient but I've never really had a seamless visit. Typically going through the drive-thru eight times out of 10 they mess something up. Today they got our order right however the quality control was clearly lacking. There was an 1.5" long chicken bone in my soft chicken taco! This just isn't acceptable as it is clearly a "visible" chicken bone. Can't imagine how major a problem this may have caused had I swallowed it! My review is for the exceptional service by the assistant manager Diana. (Sorry if I have her name incorrect). You cannot miss her, when you walk into the door, she genuinely greets you with a warm smile (not fake)). She truly cares about her customers, and customer service. There has been a time or two when my to-go orders was a bit off, when i went back, with no hesitation, Diana made sure i was happy before I walked out the door. Thats the kind of service I expect. Usually if a restaurant makes an error in my order, the likelihood is that I will not go back, but in this case, I'm a continued customer of El Pollo Loco-Agoura, as long as I know that Diana is the assistant manager, and she takes care of her customers 100%. I often stop at an El Pollo Loco wherever I might happen to be for a quick, inexpensive and healthy meal. The menu and the quality of the food is generally pretty much the same wherever you go, but I've found the service, cleanliness and layout of the restaurant may vary somewhat. I found this place to be basically just ok, not really great or for that matter really bad. It's located right off the 101 freeway at Kanan Road, and I found it can be somewhat of a hastle getting in and out of the parking lot if there is a lot of traffic. If you use the app or use coupons that might show up in your mailbox you might save a few dollars. read more

Employees are absolutely clueless and management if appalling. Trying to order something at the kiosks takes a minimum of 20 minutes and they are never correct and don't read coupon QR codes. Both times when I got home, either food was missing or they didn't give me what I ordered. so I decided to order in the restaurant. That didn't help. Since you can't order individual pieces on their automated station, I gave my order to the young lady TWICE which was two breasts and an order of corn. so when I got my order, it did not include the corn. big deal? The rudest service ever . We were here on 5/12/24 at 7:30 . We were trying to order from a person because we were having issues with the kiosk . The manager was totally rude . I was with my 84 year old mom and 97 year old step dad and the manager purposely ignored us . When after asking him several times to help he insists on trying to teach my mom how to use the kiosk . We told him we just wanted to order via him and he starts explaining that the reason we need to order off the kiosk is to save money . I told him I wasn't worried about that . Doing daily nap drives with 3 toddlers boys, this mama likes to stop and have a quick bite of something more healthy than ur typical fastfood joint while the kiddos are asleep... so I come here on the regular and have NEVER been disappointed! This was my go-to place for many years until my last two experiences. I always order the "Family Meal" So disappointed, chicken was dry, skin was black and burnt... Always a line during the day that lasts at least 20 minutes. You can tell the employee turn around rate is crazy high, seems like there's always some new rude person that doesn't know what they're doing. This last visit was the last straw for me. Waited for like 15 minutes when there was only 1 car ahead of me. The guy forgot one of the drinks, forgot to give me my credit card back, no birria sauce for the tacos (which is like the main point of them) and the tamales were rock hard, like they left them in the microwave for too long.
