Recently went there last week and got a disappointing cup of chicken tortilla soup. It was bland and the chicken used was the dark meat. Also, got the double chicken tostada and it was so poorly prepared that it looked unappealing. I ended up picking the meat out and feeding it to my pup. Horrible customer service. After ordering off the menu board everyone was waiting 20-30 minutes for their orders, there were 3 customers in total. I took my daughter to the restroom only to be told it was being cleaned, she is 8 and needed to go. When out food was finally ready there was sour cream on my nachos the receipt clearly stated no sour cream. We always come to this pollo loco and the morning crew is awesome but tonight we went expecting good service as always but this night crew on Friday night was really mean and the lady at the drive thru was giving attitude to me and my wife! We ordered a double chicken tostada salad COMBO and they didn't charge us for a combo and I asked for 3 Creamy cilantros and they didn't even give us ONE, not even the creamy cilantro that comes with the tostada! We come here about once a month and everything is usually on par. This time however our order was taken and we sat in a booth for 10 minutes awaiting them to call our number. Watched several families order after us and get the orders. When we finally got frustrated and went to the counter they realized they hadn't even started our order. The ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is the second time I've had a horrible experience with the drive thru. Glendi was not only rude, but extremely AGGRESSIVE and had a very combative tone! I strongly suggest this location get a revamp on staff or she staff through some serious empathy training! We paid for our food, Glendi failed to hand us our drink. When we asked for our drink she rudely said "let me see", then came back w our drink. We asked for our receipt (to fill out the survey for our experience) and she said "it'll be a few minutes". She then comes back to the window and rudely blurts out "you didn't pay", I showed her the charge that went through. She refused to look at it, cut me off and said "well it didn't go through on my end. So you need to pay again!" No added avocado and the 2 pieces were totally brown, 3. The lettuce was wilted and brown yuck 4. No sour cream & 5. Last the dressing container was not even 1/2 full. The churros we ordered and paid for were not in the bag. We used to order food from this location a couple of times a month. This location of el pollo loco consistently fails on quality control. Stopped by drive thru this week and ordered some mixed chicken. Got home and noticed half the order was burnt. I understand it can have some charred areas since cooked over flame but it was way beyond that. The wings were burnt to nearly a crisp. Not edible! Even the breasts had charred so much that when pulled off and tried to eat the deeper parts, it tasted like dry sawdust in texture. What a pain to drive all the way back during your lunch hour. Who has time for that? Called and spoke with manager who apologized about the problem and offered a replacement. Unfortunately when I went back in evening after work to pick it up, they did not have my name down since manager apparently had not written "the ticket." Eventually got a replacement but so much hassle for what should've been done right the first time. Last time I dined in was almost a year ago. Again, the chicken was burnt badly on half my order. Luckily I was dining in and could get the chicken replaced rather than going all the way back. A man came in and threw a bag in the counter angrily.
