I really like Pollo Campero chicken and was in the area, so glad to see one around. I have to say I had the best experience today. Some reviews here seem pretty tough, but as I said, my experience was 5 stars and surprised that others did not have the same. The Manager and all the employees were so friendly. I ordered through their app, recommended to earn points and save time. But typically the orders come out fast either way. After I got my food, the Manager came by twice to make sure I had all I need. When I left, he and his employee wished me a nice day, just great service and nice to see. Service is important to any business and they are doing it right here. Not sure how long this location has been here, but it does look newer, nice large parking lot and patio seating. Inside is very clean, modern and bright. The bathrooms were also very clean. Surprised by all the negative reviews, my first visit was definitely a good one. I've seen Pollo Campero a couple times while driving by and I've been curious so I finally made time to stop by for lunch. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and the plantains and both were very good. The chicken was well cooked and flavorful, their spicy sauce is nice. Most places they call it spicy but it's just kind of mild, Campero's sauce is a nice heat not overwhelming but just right. The plantains were very good as well, nice sweet taste, good texture I had never had fried plantains before but I really enjoyed these. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try Pollo Campero after one opened up in my neighborhood. The fried chicken was excellent. It almost has a red golden brown cross to it. But that's just all the flavor. And the flavor is not just in the fried chicken skin, but also in bed into the chicken itself all the way down to the bone. The grilled chicken was also very great tasting and was all well seasoned. Being that today was the opening day. The service was a little bit on the slower side being how busy they were, but I have no doubt that within the next couple of weeks that'll be something that they can improve on. Unfortunately, Pollo Campero failed to deliver even as much as a semi-passable offering. The parking situation is tenuous as it is cramped and there are quite a few cars sharing the space with Texas Roadhouse. Parking on the next lot over by Dave and Busters is better, but good luck playing Frogger as you cross the intersection. I will say that the staff seem very happy and all have big smiles and don't look over stressed during this opening month. Now the food situation is the main let down. Pricing is fair, but after receiving the product, it seemed less so. I got the 3 piece meal with the white meat upgrade along with the Mac n cheese and fries. The chicken was dry and the spices were overly citrusy. The Mac n cheese was overcooked and pretty bad. The fries were cold. We asked for fresh fries but it never came to the table.
