Never had an issue with this place until tonight. We wanted to try the mango habanero double tostada and ordered that for to go at the counter. During our time there we overheard that a wrong order, a double chicken tostada was made for another person, eventually after a back and forth the person got what they wanted a mango habanero double chicken tostada. Interestingly enough we got our order exceptionally fast today and all wrapped up. Come home and find that my receipt has the correct order of a mango habanero double tostada and they gave me the wrong order, a double chicken tostada. Guess they decided they could pull a fast one since we had to deal with a toddler that wants to do everything while we were there. Disappointed that they would even do something like that. Today I left El Pollo Loco extremely disappointed. This place has always been a staple for me, but similar to Chipotle, prices keep going up while value feels like it's going down. I learned today they don't provide lemons/limes anymore, which is such a staple of most Mexican meals. It might seem small, but details like that make a big difference. Haven't had any problems with this El Pollo Loco location. Service and speed at which the food comes out were fine. The parking lot if a bit small and hard to get into but you can look past that. El Pollo Loco has been in this location for such a long long time. I remember coming here when I was in middle school. Since being back in Diamond Bar I do frequent this fast food style more often than other fast food places. The only thing is sometimes it might be super difficult to get a parking space here because overall this place is super small and it's filled with a lot of restaurants and eateries. I usually just get a two piece with two sides. I switch up the sides but my favorites would probably be their rice, Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. I know all carbs but hey I'm eating fast food and I want to eat something that I do enjoy. They do have fresh broccoli and other options like corn, black beans, pinto beans, cole slaw, and their loco salad. Eh, what can I say, it's El Pollo Loco. Prices are okay. The chicken was kind of dry but they were very friendly with the sauces, they make the sauces GREAT here, so get a ton! We ended up getting a Salad, but...they didn't have any more dressing? That was kind of weird. Service also took a while too, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food and then part way through they said they didn't have a certain type of meat, so they asked if they could replace. While we're okay with that, it just seems weird to tell us after waiting for a decent amount of time. Although, it's fast food at the end of the day, you shouldn't expect much! They also don't honor the Service Discount that is on the website. So if you're an EMT, Police, etc. it won't count for them. read more

My FIVE STAR review is much overdue for Eduardo & his staff here at Team Diamond Bar/Grand Avenue. I have been coming here for over 15 years since it is conveniently located on my route home after work usually about 7 PM. As soon as you enter the doors you hear "welcome to pollo loco" Getting back to the current staff, the service has always been really good. Although with Eduardo everybody here seems to enjoy their role here at this business and it truly shows I have to say that even though I have a closer Pollo Loco to my home in Chino Hills, I prefer coming to this location mainly because of the staff and the ample parking for the patrons. Of course the healthy food they have is an added bonus. My favorite's are the double chicken tostada, the 3 pc mixed meal, always to go. If I can suggest that you load the APP to your smart phone to get the many perks they offer to guests. I tried the Birria Burrito last week, very tasty and good portions as well In closing I'd like to say keep up the great job, your enthusiasm truly shows and many customers who I frequently see here appreciate what you do for us on a consistent basis. So I visited diamond bar El pollo loco and I have to say it was the best one I've ever visited it was a walk in and service was polite and on point! It had several visitors which is always a good sign and the grilling and preparing is done right in front of customers. There's this middle aged guy who works at this place where I ordered the 4 pc leg and thigh meal, and Ive requested a little bit more salsa because it wasn't only my mom and myself eating it but rather my father as well; I would have understood if that person told me "Sorry our policy does not allow too many salsa per customer / our policy is 2 salsa only" but this man just said "No you don't need that much, I give you only two salsa." Excuse me? Sir, I would understand if you told me if your policy stated that, but this is unprofessional and unacceptable. Another time (few months ago) when my father came, he was rude to my father as he did not speak English very well - i don't think it's acceptable to treat a customer differently based on their English skills or their race.
