Super disappointed in this location. It was always great and I've been coming here for a couple of years. First of all the lady that took my mom's order was pretty rude and pretended to not know what pico de Gallo was. She imitated her and kept saying pico de what? Lol. Way to talk down to someone who's first language isn't English or Spanish. We got home and one of the chicken breasts was burned to a crisp. Like charred black. I stopped at El Pollo Loco on 21212 Bake Parkway in Lake Forest. The place was very clean. The cashier was super friendly. I was allowed to take the photos. This is my first time at this location. I ordered takeout. Shrimp Avocado Baja Tacos; artisan tortilla with shrimp, avocado, Baja sauce, cabbage, and Pico de Gallo salsa. included was chips & salsa. It was delicious. I also drank a Coke Zero to balance my meal. Diana had; The Double Chicken Tostada Salad; tostada shell with; pinto beans, Spanish rice, shredded cheese, Pico de Gallo salsa, avocado, sour cream, and double portion of grilled chicken. A great combination of flavors. She drank a Coke Zero with her meal. For dessert; Two Cinnamon Churros; dusted with cinnamon sugar. They were delicious. I thanked management for taking photos. We go here often but I had an especially good experience last time. I had a coupon for two piece deal with two sides and a drink. My partner got a burrito. My chicken was juicy and flavorful. The flour tortillas were soft and warm. The Mac n cheese was my favorite part, so hot and delicious. The loco side salad had some yummy cheese. They had an horchata machine which you don't see at every location. And the salsa bar had a spicy avocado salad that was particularly tasty. The chairs and decor are kind of old and not filthy, but not spotless. Still, for the price paid, portion and taste, we thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Also there's plenty of parking. read more

Manager too concerned he " might" cook too much and have a bit left, at 6 f'ng 30! You cook a LOT. Get a big order, AT THAT TIME you start a batch. Have leftovers, you give to loyal hungry employees. I love this location! They always have fast and friendly service. The only caveat is parking can be tough and they have no drive through, which is a bummer. However, since I always get good service it outweighs the others. I absolutely love the salads they have to offer! My favorite is the classic chicken Cesar and it is only 250 calories and $5.99! When I am being a bit more health conscious or post workout this is my go to. However, the $1 Bean cheese rice burrito is the bomb. I will eat a BRC any day :) Also I have to rave about the new guacamole and tortilla chips. They are so good and I am not exaggerating these are the best tortilla chips I have ever had! Had such a great experience here today. Came during the lunch rush to place two orders (one for me, one for my coworker). I waited in line maybe five minutes until the cashier was ready, and she was extremely pleasant and patient as I placed the two orders - I was given no trouble about wanting different names, paying with different forms (cash + card), and I received two sets of coupons to return. Both orders were ready in less than five minutes, as I barely finished grabbing my drink and salsa after ordering. To top it off, I can confidently say that this was THE BEST Mexican Caesar Bowl I have ever had. Bit of a delayed review, but the service was above and beyond what I've ever gotten from any fast food chain. A few weeks ago I placed a mobile order. When I went to go pick it up my street was blocked with road construction and couldn't get my car out to pick it up. I called the store to cancel my order, but the gentleman on the phone told me not to worry, he'd deliver it to my house without issue!! I was shocked to say the least.
