So I usually come here for lunch since I work around the corner. In the past month, I've gotten the wrong order but was already at work so nothing I could do. Then the next time I go I was missing a burrito from my order. Luckily i was still in the parking lot and was able to go back. Just today I went back and waited 20 min and it turned out they never started on my order. I approached the cashier and all he said was "they're making it". It doesn't take more than 20 min. Good food but terrible, terrible service and "management." My wife orders their chicken tostada salad for lunch delivery at least once a week and they ALWAYS, ALWAYS forget the most important piece...the cilantro dressing. Like literally, every. single. time. Today, she ordered dinner for the family including her usual salad, even including a special line requesting extra dressing so that can't possibly miss it. Food was delivered and surprise surprise, missing dressing. I call the store and speak to a gentleman who apologizes but basically states "what do you want, do you want a credit or something?" Umm no, I want a driver back out with my missing item!! It's not a salad without dressing, wth? Apparently they have no drivers available. So I head to the location and there is a guy standing at the counter holding a back awkwardly waiting for me. He just kinda hands it over and goes to walk away. I'm super fed up by the lack of interest in resolving an ongoing problem and say excuse me, I mentioned over the phone I'd like to speak to someone who can probably make a decision around here and he respond well, I'm the manager. Sadiq was his name I believe. I tell him man, this is just pretty ridiculous at this point. It's like a 100% of the time thing. His response is "well I spoke to the employee that bagged the order and she's been here for like 10 yrs and said she knows she put the dressing in the bag." I'm like seriously?? I can run back to my house, grab the order, come back, and we can take a look at it together if you're gonna sit here and call me a liar. At that point he tells me he wrote a coupon for a discount off my next order on the receipt, hands me the bag and walks away. Terrible, terrible customer service and people skills from this guy/Sunday "manager". My intention was not to get free food or credit or whatever, but get this corrected going forward. When you order food via delivery the driver just drops it and leaves, so if it's missing something you're screwed since apparently El Pollo Loco is at the will of the third party delivery drivers and is unable to send someone back out. read more

Lunch hour is typically hectic but the team always is accurate, fast, and super nice even with the high order demand. I always place catering orders with the store manager America. Such a rude supervisor. Her name was Angie. I came at 9:15am today because my lunch was scheduled super early. I saw online that they opened at 9:00am, I walk in. Was greeted by the cashier and he smiled and said "we don't open until 10:00am but you can order something simple like a Bean & cheese burrito" I said yeah sure, then the supervisor came out and said in a very rude tone of voice: "We ARE NOT OPEN!" Have been here several times as it is close to work. The food is hit or miss and they never open up on time, as well as being closed on holidays that they say they will be open. I order from this location at least once a week because it's so close to my job & I have been coming here for almost a year. I called in my order as usual on 11/4/19 & I spoke to "America". After she asked what she could help me with, I told her I wanted to place an order for pickup. She advised me to order online because they were really busy, I asked if I go into the store if they'd be able to take my order in person or if their was an issue in store. She stated again to place my order online, I asked her the same question again & she got upset & said & I quote "What's your order? You're wasting my time." I was shocked! I asked her if there was a manager I could speak to & she hung up on me. I drove to the store, got in line to order & a gentleman took my order. I asked him who the manager was & he pointed to "America". I asked him who her boss was & he said he didn't know her but it was the District Manager. "America" handed me my order & I asked her who her Manager was, she stated she was the General Manager. I asked her who her boss was & she said that she did not have a boss. I advised her unless she is the owner of the store she had to have a Manager/boss and I demanded to know who that was. She proceeded to ask me "Are you the girl I spoke to on the phone?". I advised her it was me & she apologized for what she said but that they were really busy & pointed to the order line. I let her know that I understand they're busy but what she said was unprofessional & her apology meant nothing as I am a paying customer & would never speak to somebody the way she spoke to me & continued to speak to me as she was laughing during her apology & was being defensive while speaking to me. She proceeded to tell me that orders are to be placed in store or online. I asked why they had a phone & her response was "for emergencies only". I asked why nobody had ever told me that every single time I called in my order & she said she did not know but that is not the purpose of the phone. I let her know my order is always screwed up when I place an order online which is why I call it in. She apologized one more time & stated she did not want to lose me as a customer. I demanded her boss' information once again. She rolled her eyes & went into a back room. She took a few minutes to come back out & she aggressively handed me a paper, turned around & said nothing to me. She gave me her boss' information, the District Manager (Melina). I called "Melina" and left a voicemail as she did not pick up. "Melina" called me back & I spoke to her for at least 20 minutes explaining the issue I had with her General Manager. She apologized to me multiple times & stated that is not how "America" was trained treat people the way she treated me. She asked me what she could do to make it better & I advised her "America" needed to be fired because if anybody that ever works for me says that to a customer, it's unforgivable. She proceeded to tell me she will talk to "America" and give her proper training & remind her what she is there for. I also called customer service for El Pollo Loco, submitted a complaint & was not given a solution to my problem. Instead the ticket was closed immediately & no further action was taken. I called customer support again, they found my ticket & re-opened it & said somebody from higher up would contact me & till this day I have yet to be contacted. I have had 3 total issues with "America" but this one I just spoke about was the worst. Corporate needs to do something about "America" at this store and fire her or remove her from being a so-called Manager because she has no customer service skills what 11/28/19: I was asked to provide details on the situation...not sure how much more detail I can give? Finally, we get to come here by coming during afternoon tea hours. During lunch hours, it is virtually impossible to get a parking space in this plaza. At this location, the salsa bar is on an island instead of attached to a wall or other partition like other branches. They have the same drink offerings as other locations. They also have outdoor seating. However, everything here feels a little narrow due to the layout. The staff here is very social. They tend to talk a lot with the customers, even us. After ordering, one will receive a number and they will deliver it to the table. There were no issues during this visit other than the difficult parking situation. (I might rate higher if I walked here, but my office isn't close enough to this location.) The food tasted good, especially their stuffed quesadillas (which I used a coupon for). read more

Every time I go to this pollo loco there is no much line and the service is great and efficient...I always get my food fast and hot! They always have great deals. And went straight to the kitchen to start flipping chicken . Didn't do hand wash . Didn't wear gloves . I canceled my order right away and tried to coach the manager . Since I'm also in the same industry . And she seems not to understand the severity of how she's managing that place . Her respond was.. mm okay . After I said her employee ( COOK ) wasn't following basic standards . How can you trust this place to feed you and your family . ....... corporate or franchise owner should invest money in training . You can't expect your manager not to be clueless and not to be careless if you don't invest in them . Or at least hire someone skilled enough to take this seriously. I went in 2/14/2019 at 11:38am ordered 3 piece breast and wing extra well done with two loco salads. They gave me my chicken 20 min later not we'll done and especially not extra well done I asked he manager to give me extra well done she said if I wanted extra well done I have to call it in and she didn't want to give me we'll done even after waiting 20 minutes for my meal she returned my money to me with a bad attitude and not even an apology and completely rude. I will never go there again if they can't provide well done they should have said that from the beginning and not make me wait 20 minutes to tell me and walk away when I'm talking to her... Adela was the managers name short Mexican Lady with burgundy hair and drawn in burgandy eyebrows.. she was supposedly the manager but it's clear she should be stripped of her title no customer service skills whatsoever... I called corporate and reported her and had to drive to the other pollo loco where I waited 5 min and got my chicken well done off of El Toro road.
