I ordered a mix of cheese and chicken enchiladas, and WOW the chicken was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious! My friend ordered the chilaquiles with verde sauce and asada. The meat was great, although personally I wish the verde sauce had a little more spice. She also ordered the Café de Olla and let me try it... SOOOO GOOD!!! I already know I'm ordering my own next time! I also had the chance to meet the owner, and he was incredibly attentive to both his customers and employees, which I loved seeing. Overall, XOCHIPILLI is such a cute little hidden nook with delicious food, great drinks, welcoming service, and affordable prices. The cook brought us our plate & he was nice and asked if we needed anything else. I said " I asked one of the servers for a lemonade and it still hasn't been brought." & he mentioned he would let them know. Then the server comes back with an attitude and places it on the table, not even a word said. I even thanked her multiple times and nothing was said, no "you're welcome" or anything. She never even checked up on us or asked if we needed anything else. If you can't handle being a server why even work as one? Simple as that. This is what ruins a restaurant's reputation and makes people not want to go back. No tip was deserved.

While I think the bar is cool, the tiny cups to get salsa are too small. I would have liked the bean dip sized bowl to get enough, instead of having to get several tiny cups which are hard to scoop from with the chips. Bill came to $38. On Postmates it was $28 but that included a $25 discount since I've never used the app before.
