I had to ask twice if someone could please take my order and they just looked at me and didn't even care. None of the staff at the front desk greeted us nor did they explain there was a delay nor apologize for making us wait. I've frequented this drive thru and so far my experiences have been pleasant, making me want to keep on coming back! Food is fresh and tasty, I like to get a lot of chicken so I keep an eye out for the family meal deal. One tip: if you don't care for the tortillas they include, you can substitute them for chips... make sure to get some salsa with that! I appreciate that my order is always accurate. Whenever I ask for a certain amount of salsa they are always happy to oblige with a smile. The food tastes great and it's healthier than many other alternatives out there so I'll be returning for sure! read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I mean I'm seeing positive ones too, but I had a great experience at this location. I usually always get my food to go, but decided to eat inside. The restaurant was clean. The cashier, Brenda, was super sweet and friendly. I could tell she was new by the way she was interacting with me, but that didn't bother me because she's learning and was doing a good job :) I usually get the family meal (thigh and leg) because it's so juicy and tasty since they grill it on an open flame. This time I ordered the double chicken tostada salad. The salad could've been better because the chicken was kinda dry. Pros: - Good service: Brenda went around the restaurant as she cleaned asking everyone if everything was okay and if they needed anything. I thought that was very kind of her because I don't ever get or see that at a fast food restaurant. She also brought me a to-go box for my leftovers. - Quick: Got my food fast like 5 minutes after I ordered. - Price/deals: the price is great for what you get. This location has had its ups and downs through the years. Recently though they seem to be on an upswing with quality and service so I'm giving them an A-OK. This location appears to have pretty high turnover so it's possible that the inexperience of the crew is partly the issue. I've been coming to this location since it opened... for a while I started driving to the Reseda location just because this one messed up my order 3 times in a row (not noticing until I got home). Lately they've been a little better, 2 of my last 3 orders were right. My main issues with this location are: 1) Order accuracy. If I pay extra for mixed chicken, I don't expect to get home and discover legs and thighs. 2) Menu availability. About half the time I come here I order something on the menu and they tell me they are out of it. I'm not sure what the issue is with their supply chain, but it's frustrating, especially when you have a kid who is a picky eater. 3) Speed of service in Drive Through. When I order just a burrito and taco, and I have 4 cars in front of me with large orders, I don't understand why I am waiting at the window for my food... I do appreciate that it was hot and fresh though, so maybe I'm overreacting. Still the person behind me got their food immediately so I have to wonder if it was as fresh as mine. The location itself is clean and the staff are friendly. I have no major complaints about this place, just the above annoyances. I'll keep coming and hoping things improve (maybe they'll see this feedback and it'll help). If so I will adjust up one star because I really want to be a fan! read more

I love El Pollo Loco as a healthier fast food option but am done coming to this location. The staff here are not about pleasing the customer. I asked for another piece of chicken instead of 2 churros on a coupon I used. Being a manager in the past, I know it would be no big deal to provide another thigh or leg with no meat on it to please the customer. But not this staff. It's in a medium size shopping mall with plenty of parking. Although some of the parking spots are a little tight and hard to back up when you leave. The order taker was nice and took my order correctly. As with all El Pollo Loco locations.... I feel their menu is hard to follow compared to most other places. The food was very good for a fast food place. One hidden gem that I didn't try here, was their new guacamole and chips. I think it's a little better than their competition that's famous for their burritos... they have lime and salt chips with a little guacamole. El Pollo is different. Went to El Pollo Loco for the first time in my life today because I friend acted super shocked I hadn't ever been and made me feel like I'm missing out. I definitely was missing out on anything. I ordered the chicken nachos that came with some weird watery fake cheese sauce that tasted like flour. It had a dollop of sour cream and guacamole on there and lots of pinto beans =[ Also I got the Chicken and shrimp tostada. There were 3 pieces of cold shrimp. maybe two teaspoons of chicken and tiny bit of sour cream and guacamole. Not tasty at all. I also got a side of the mango salsa, mango hard and no where close to being ripe, not good at all. Creamy cilantro was not creamy. The food also came out within seconds, which is weird. I guess everything is just assembled already. I didn't like the food at all. Not even a little bit and it all went into the trash. But I will say that the service was really nice. The guy that was helping me was new and his coworkers were super attentive and helped out. And they kept the place really clean. read more

I have been ordered foods at this location for many times and every times there were always have some issues. Last time, the cheese quesadilla was burned and Mac and cheese was soggy and mashed. Well lets start off by saying that i am in no way a Pollo Loco Hater at all. I typically love Pollo Loco. But i think its this particular location. My wife and mother in law both went in hoping to get the expected gracious greeting but in no way shape or form did they recieve that from what i understand. And they came home with a 10pc meal that was pretty much all raw or semi cooked. Theres a disease called salmonella, not a fun thing to go through, trust me i know, in essence there should be no excuse for any chicken location to hand out under cooked chicken, period...no excuses. I called this location and made a complaint, they offered me to replace the entire meal and did so. But here's my other issue. I arrive and the staff at the counter just stares at me like ok when are you going to say something. In my head i expect them to greet me and ask the simple yet complex question of: Hello sir, may i help you? And nope didn't recieve anything but a look. So i finally went up to the counter, And i over heard from what looked like to be a very busy woman say, you can take care of this man while i finish doing whatever it is she was doing. Which i'm good with but again all i recieved was a look, and then this gentlemen again just stared at me waiting for me to say something. Talk about awkward and strange customer service. But anywho got my s*** and dipped. My case and point is I think they need to review themselves on how to handle and care for customers. But most importantly since the motto is safety first and customer service. Never hand out under cooked chicken. Like gordon ramsey says "its raw!, this bloody s*** cant happen!" Nuff said. So one star for Pollo Loco Saticoy! Don't think i'll return to this location. Many of my friends go to this location too but i'm going to share my story. So hope this helps improves the unsatisfactory results. We live off of constructive critism after all, dont we? Disgusted . My mother had went in about a week ago and the cashier " Nathan " had yelled at my mother just because as she was trying to order she couldn't hear him . My mother was in shock and didn't know what to do until another cashier came out named "Gabriel " provided great service he helped and apologized to her unlike Nathan . Once my mother came into the car she began to cry and has not came back to that Pollo Loco since. However I decided to give this place another try and I came in with my two kids for lunch and saw two employees making out on top of each other hiding in a corner . I ordered my food and as I was walking out with my kids I saw their name tags the boy was named " Nathan " and the girl was named " Pamela " . The chicken is frequently dry and flavorless. Ingredients overall are often not fresh. Tortillas are often stale, taquitos cooked in old oil, browning lettuce and avocado, you name it. The last time I ordered right around opening, but the food was not fresh at all. I had to return and request a refund. Major disappointment. I give up on this location. read more
