Every meal has been great I've never been disappointed here. Green Chile sauce is the best.

Food quality is better than most but service lacks. 1/2 the time there is something wrong with my order. Today, ordered 4 dishes for office lunch. Co-Worker repeated order at pick up and was assured all was packaged. We only received 3 dishes but of course, were charged for 4. This place hates white people and has the WORST customer service! The drive through guy told me I could NOT order a burrito w all the meats. I asked again and he said no they can't sell it. My frustration is that I have gotten this before and it's ON THE MENU and you want to say I can't buy it. So I park and walk in. I spell out exactly what I want. I like this place because when it opened, it was something new. And also the food is alright. However I'm disappointed because I get my daughter the chicken quesadilla (my precious baby princess 1 year old to be exact, lol) and on multiple occasions I've found chicken bones in the quesadilla. Luckily, because she's 1 and the quesadilla is huge, she can't finish it all so I finished it for her. (So basically i ate the chicken bone, NICE) They're very nice, I do appreciate that, and clearly most things are made fresh. This was my first and last visit to this place! I purchased the beef stuffed baked potato (not). First, the potato was only as big as a small-frame person's fist. Secondly, it had black spots inside the potato near the surface of the skin. Lastly, the beef was very scarce; nearly non-existent! I paid $8 for that mess. Never again. Fruit flies everywhere. Disgusting they were coming out of the soda dispensers. Ordered two kids meal quesadillas. Only to have only one ordered. No biggie I'll just go in and get another one. Well that turned out to be the worst thing I could have done. Order the kids meal at 6:09 at 6:45 they said your order is on the way. Mind you the rest ofy order is sitting in the truck. After seeing the cook in the kitchen on his phone rubbing his nose and then slapping my kids quesadillas with his bare hands I decided I didn't want cold germ covered food after all. Asked for a refund at 6: 45 didn't walk out until 7:15 with a deducted refund for a drink. Haha I mean an hour wasted and they couldnt even let me slide with the drink. This is the one closest to where I live! The food is good and the wait is exceptional, when it's not past 7pm. I usually order the El Pollo Nachos... and they're pretty delicious.. the only downside is, they're very sticky and can turn into a big ball of nachos, cheese and meat... you also may receive a side of constipation, LOL. read more

New menu items contain shrimp tacos! -asked for shrimp nachos because I'm a pescatarian and was told "no" they couldn't do it. I wasn't asking for a substitution and was willing to pay the difference but again told "no". The shrimp tacos were amazing but I most likely won't go back because the seafood options start and stop with the tacos which suck. Allow me to pay for "shrimp" quesadillas or "shrimp" nachos and I'll definitely be back. Just ok- no flavor. I ordered the bowl and it needed to be drenched in sauce. The chicken was the best part of the bowl.

Great food but I just spent 1 hour in the drive thru line. Literally. That is ridiculous.

I love their food but I've been here about 5 times in the past 2 years and all 5 times they've neglected to get my order correct. No beans, double rice. Got beans EVERYTIME plus minor other mistakes. Not sure who is in charge of making sure the food is correct but you may want to take note. Wouldn't recommend for accuracy of food ordering but it is delicious. read more

Good tasting food but horrible service. They are extremely slow getting your food out to you and when they finally get it to you, its very likely they'll get it wrong! I simply always order 2 chicken tacos on corn with NO SOUR CREAM!! (Dairy allergy) What do I get, everytime?? Sour cream!!!! Smh. When you let them know, they aren't really apologetic and you must wait forever again to get your remade items. First time visiting an El Pollo Rico ever. There was only one car ahead of me with a few people in it. Total wait time was like 3 mins! Super fast service for my experience. Doesn't seem like that for others though. Maybe it was the time of day I went (4pm). Who knows. Anywho, I got the chicken rice bowl and it was so much better than I expected. The chicken was juicy and perfect. I received a half lime, sour cream and some green hot sauce which is the best stuff ever! I need to order extra next time. The employee working the window was polite too. I can't stand McDonalds or Subway so I'm glad they put this place in Manor. read more

Have been to this location plus one in town. Have never ordered anything other than the whole chicken meal. Feeds 3 people easily, but you'll need extra rice and beans . 2 people and you can make a couple leftover tacos. Also this way you can pick the chicken yourself leaving out all bones which seems to be the main complaint. I do prefer el pollo regio over rico's recipe but this is still exceptionally good. The guys working the counter have always given great customer service, even in the drive through. The place is a win for Manor. read more

Food is consistent, prices are reasonable. 4 stars only because my preference for the chicken is to be cooked a little longer. However, it's still good and you can't find a whole chicken meal with sides for the price it's priced at. The green salsa,sauce is my fav. Just tried this place for the first time with the bf and his family. We ordered steak tacos and chicken tacos, both of which had excellent flavor. I did not have any bones in my chicken taco, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I did get a bit of cartilage in one bite. Frankly, that just lets me know their food is made with REAL chicken and not some homogenized frankenchicken. The tacos were the best things we had, will definitely be back for more. We also had chicken quesadillas, which I enjoyed. But again, my boyfriend found TWO chicken bones in his quesadilla. Also, it was VERY heavy on the cheese so I couldn't eat too much because it was very rich. It was also as big as the to-go container, so two people could easily share one quesadilla. Bf's cousin had the rico bowl which he said was 'okay' but needed more seasoning ("compared to Freebirds or Chipotle" he said). But he said he enjoyed the steak burrito. I'd heard they had great tres leches, but they were sold out for the day so we ordered the churros. They were good, though they might have been a touch sweeter. And they were huge, easily more than a foot long each. All told, good food and good value for what we paid. Bt dont let your kids order any chicken dishes, you will fond bones! Restaurant was dirty. Cashier didn't greet me. Food was cold, and the salsa they gave me was hot. So how does that work?? The food is great! The customer service and wait time is horrible. It is very sad that the owners do not hire enough staff to make their service efficient. The front staff is working there butts off. The cashier Alejandro Ortiz is so worried about the amount of orders that he forgets to be happy or polite. I even heard him say they have to remember it's not fast food it's good food! Well I can go to a good sit down Mexican restaurant and I would get my food faster than here so be prepared to wait 45 minutes to an hour for TO GO orders! Hire more staff Pollo Rico! read more

Good food but they can never get your order right. Twice I made an order which in giving the order I repeated at least 4 times and when I got home with my food it was totally wrong. Maybe we should have had chicken at a place with pollo in it's name, but...the hamburger bun was so dry it crumbled. The Pappa Asada was acceptable, but the potato wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese. There is a nice condiment center, but it would be nice to have the items labelled so you know what you're getting. read more
