Parking lot was empty. And it should have been an indicator to us. We walked in and the restaurant was empty. We were tended to by someone after he had taken his time with getting the receipt for another table. Felt like we were being judged as he came to us. Literally looked us up and down. No smiles whatsoever. He served us and drinks took a while to come. Big call to action signs of dragonfruit margarita but when I ordered that- it was out So I got a cadillac margarita instead Took some time to come- and it tasted just like margarita mix.. not impressed The chips and salsa were decent. Chips were freshly fried - salsa was tasty but not spicy Hubby ordered fajitas with shrimp chorizo and chicken. Shrimp was decent, the rest had no flavour and was overcooked. My seafood chimichanga came: it was nice and hot. The sauce on it was nice but the insides of the seafood chimichanga wasn't worth the price tag. There was more cabbage, imitation crab meat in it than anything else. Very little shrimp, lobster meat and actual crab meat. The decor was actually decent. If they would serve with a smile and improve, it might be worth a visit. But for now, I dont think we will come back for a bit. For the price tag, I do expect a certain level of service. The service here was exceptionally fast! I loved the free chips and salsa, and highly recommend ordering the cheese dip. It was fairly priced and DELICIOUS! I tried the flauntas with chicken and it was so good. The portion (you can see in my picture) was huge! I definitely had leftovers for the next day. The giant margarita is also worth it for $17 or so! read more

El Potrero was absolutely delicious in every way. We had fabulous drinks, the michelada and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. The food was even better than that! We had the Enchiladas Rancheras, a Steak & Bacon Quesadilla, and the Steak Nachos. Every bite was better than the last. The servers were quick and very friendly. The whole restaurant was clean and we loved the decor. We did call for a reservation, but probably wouldn't have needed one. It was overall a great experience and we can't wait to go back. We would recommend that everyone try El Potrero! read more

Place was mostly empty when we arrived by the time our food arrived the restaurant was mostly full. Our server had a hard time keeping up. She was apologetic about the situation but thankfully it only help up the check drop as we had already received our food. I would definitely give this place another try. read more

Chips and Salsa were great! Best part of the meal. I ordered Quesa Birria with Rice. The corn tortilla was soggy and lukewarm. The Birria Broth was nearly cold. Rice was very cold. We told them about the rice and I'm pretty sure they just put in the microwave. My gf ordered the Fiesta Enchiladas and they were lukewarm as well. $20 tequila chicken was supposed to haves grilled chicken but instead they used low quality stewed chicken thighs pieces mixed in rice and sauce all covered in cheese. hard to tell where the chicken was and moslty only rice and chees and very little chicken at all! for $20 I except one whole chicken breast cut into strips. seriously not worth the money. salsa and chips good. service/ they try but miss the mark for American service standard, but nice and friendl. drinks are overpriced. but tasty. they charge a ton for veggies in quesadilla which makes it double the price, seems silly. imho I want to like it but feel it's less than great every time I go back. read more

First off, I realize that restaurants are having a hard time filling positions and keeping staff. That being said - some people are just not meant to work in public service. Our server was one of those people. She was very rude, never smiled, never checked on us after the food was served. Everyone at our table of 4 was shocked at how awful she was to us. The Shrimp Tacos are fabulous! They are made with large grilled shrimp, bacon, cilantro, melted cheese, green pepper, onion and special sauce. The refried beans are wonderfully creamy and served with cheese bubbling on time. Unique and very tasty. read more

We arrived at 8:15 and was told there was no outside seating. We passed the patio on the way in and there was almost nobody else out there. our table was so wobbly nobody could put their arms on the table. it was not busy but the wait staff took 15 minutes to take our order. Food and drinks are great 4.5 stars. This review is regarding service. We had the WORST waitress last night. My husband and I got there at 8. There were a few tables but overall not busy. Lots of open tables and booths. Once seated we were ignored. We didn't know at the time but our waitress was the one that stood by the host desk glancing over... ignoring us. The bar tender had to tell her we were waiting to place our order...which he noticed from across the room. She wasn't busy we seemed to be her only table. After she brought drinks she never came back. She did not refill anything, check on drinks, food or bring the check. After we were done, I did all the standard passive "done" signals... silverware down, plate pushes away, patience...nothing...plate further away, purse on table, wallet out, cash out. Eventually we gave up and went to stand at the host desk near the door. She came over...oh are you ready. Are you kidding terrible waitress??? She was sitting at an open booth near the bar playing on her phone ignoring everyone. This girl did not seem to want to be there and did not pretend to care. If you told me she was a relative of someone and that's how she got the job I would believe you because no manager would put up with all that. I still gave a decent tip because the food was good and I didn't know how they split tips and didn't want to screw someone that actually did something. read more
