We visited El Punto Peruano in a gorgeous Thursday evening. The two people who attended this food truck were extremely attentive and kind, making sure that we felt welcomed. The truck was very clean and the tables and chairs were clean and set with enough distancing space to feel safe. Service and cleanliness get a 5 star rating. The 3 stars come from the food itself. I was not impressed at all with our selection. I had their lomito sandwich and although the meat was soft, the sandwich was nothing to come back for. The meat empanada was not great either. The food was not bad but at the same time it was not great. I'm very disappointed because I had been looking forward to trying their offerings. Sadly, we won't be going back. read more

I guess this food truck is a casualty of "Taipa Food Truck" another food truck located in the Kendall area which is far superior! I was not impressed and the lack of crowds is a clear indication of the quality of the food. It's average at best, and the location isn't as enjoyable and relaxing as the other food trucks. The mosquito situation is not good and they have very poor lighting. The food was ok, and definitely more expensive than Taipa. They are pretty stingy with the rice which is very confusing being that it's the cheapest ingredient possibly in the world. Our beverages were warm and they did not have Chicha Morada. I won't return as the other food truck is located near by and is much much better, but I just wanted to give them a chance. Ps there was one thing that I really enjoyed.......the music! I ordered the hamburgesa al pobre and after I biting into it I noticed the meat was barely cooked at all. Now I'm all about a good medium-rare steak... But not a rare food truck burger. Nuked it in the microwave for two mins and it was alright. Luckily I had ordered it to go, and was eating it at home. Didn't take long for the food to come out (should have been a red flag), but then again there was only like two other people there. Also... they had some tables and chairs in front of the truck (which would have been nice to eat at on a cool night like tonight) but then they blast music out of a speaker which makes it hard to sit there and have a conversation with someone. read more

Yelp let's you put one star this truck deserves none!! I went to get some food late night I decided on something other then your local fast food, Was I wrong the burger they served me was so bad!!! The bread was old the meat seem frozen it was horrible! The salchipapa the fries were soggy it was a big disappointment I don't recommend anyone to eat here go somewhere else save your money! The have burgers and fries in the menu they need to take some stuff down! The ingredients they use are cheap! I grabbed my meal took a bite and off to the trash!! I just went there and they wanted to serve me a lomo with no rice. Also, the guy was rude about it. Didn't care that we were unsatisfied about that. He told me they closed at 12 and it states here they close at 1 and I called and someone took my order... why would my order be taken if they don't have the food available? read more

Had a ceviche mixto and the quality was definitely Sup par. The ceviche was warm, so it tasted like some sort of soup. My wife asked for a Sprite and it was warm as well. So definitely warm is a theme. At $11+ per plate is not cheap, so the quality should be there with their pricing. read more

This is the worst food truck I've ever gone to. The burger sucks, the lomo saltado sucks, even the bottled juice sucks. I feel like I just threw out $30. Overpriced, over-seasoned, and undercooked. A 8 oz juice that costs $1 is priced for $3 and it's not even cold (and they don't even have cups or ice to offer). The rice is hard, the meat is chewy, the fries were soggy and had 0 salt. I'm just honestly so disappointed in myself for choosing to come here and I never usually do this but wow it's unfortunate that I can't even choose 0 stars. Waste of time, money and gas. read more
