I've been to CVI.CHE 105 a few time and it's consistently a great spot. This time was just for a quick bite, we shared the pulpito herradura, the pura tradición tiraditos, and the acevichado roll. Everything was exceptional, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The octopus was perfectly cooked and tender, and the tiraditos had just the right balance of citrus and spice. I also tried one of their limited-time specialty cocktails that was similar to an Old Fashioned, and it was excellent, very smooth and well balanced. On a previous visit, I had the lomo saltado, it was absolutely delicious, so I can confidently say the quality and friendly/attentive service has been consistent every time I've been here. Whether you're planning on going for a full meal or just sharing a few plates, CVI.CHE 105 is definitely worth a visit. read more

What a gorgeous space for dates, birthday dinners or nights out. The food was incredible. Papa à la huancaina was excellent and it was probably my least fav thing we ordered. That should tell you how great the meal was. Arroz con pollo egg rolls ere insanely good. Stuffed with cilantro rice and chicken mixture and small dollops of sauce...get it. Please get it. They have another name on the menu, but you'll find it under appetizers. Aji de gallina was the best i have ever had. Ripped up chicken tossed in huancaina sauce and served with white rice and potatoes. The ceviche trio was amazing too. I thought classic would be my favorite. The I tried the rocoto and that was my favorite. Then I tried the aji Amarillo and that was my fav! All three are some of the best I've ever had. I went to Ceviche 105 and it definitely lived up to the hype. This is actually my favorite location of theirs. It's lively, energetic, and a little busy, but in a fun way that makes the whole experience feel exciting. The food is super fresh and full of bold flavor, especially the ceviches, you can really tell they know what they're doing. The portions are generous and everything comes out beautifully presented. The drinks are also really well made pisco sour ftw!! Overall, one of my go-to spots in Miami when I want something elevated but fun. Perfect for celebrating an anniversary or other special event, I'll keep coming back to this location for sure. read more

Another win in the 305! Fresh and delicious food, combined with a beautiful ambiance and excellent customer service! From the moment that you walk in, the service begins. Alejandro, was our server and he did a great job with making suggestions and the timing of all the food we ordered for our party. From veggie to chicken fried rice to ceviche, sushi and key lime pie, it was great! The mocktail (Moscow mule) and cocktails (Lychee martini) were great! Slightly pricy for the cocktail ($22) but the mocktail was priced well ($9). We did get a special that was off the menu. It sounded great and tasted the same, but the dish was $98. We felt as though that should have been relayed up front, and that was our only negative. It seemed more like a $50 dish. Regardless of that part, we still had a great time with great food and great service and that's all that matters. It was my first time there and I'll be sure to go back. Come here twice now with friends and with family. Food portions are impressive and the quality is good. They have a lot of options to choose from. Some favorites have been the ceviche concha de sus mares and noquis a la huancaina trufada (if you like creamy rich gnocchi with truffle flavor, this is great). I tried the pastel de choclo that my friend ordered which I would definitely be interested in ordering again in the future (tastes like cornbread in bread pudding form). Service is fantastic, attentive, and they tried their best to accomodate my family's special food requests which I appreciate. I've been to another cvi.che 105 location, but this place definitely wins in the nicer ambience. The only thing about this location is that it's difficult with parking--either street parking or the pricey parking garage. Ceviche 105 is hands down one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. I have been to all of the locations, but the Gables one is my absolute favorite. It is stunning with a beautiful ambiance, gorgeous decor, and such a great vibe overall. The service is always on point, the food comes out fast, and I honestly cannot think of a single bad experience. I eat here at least once a week, not exaggerating. My go to starters are the Ceviche Nikkei tartare and the causa de pollo, always a win. For mains, I am a sushi lover, so the Acevichado 105 is a must. The flavor combination is unreal. And if you love crispy rice like I do, La Perricholi 105 is non negotiable. So, so good. I definitely need to step out of my comfort zone and try more dishes, but these are my ride or dies because they never miss. That said, when I do want an entrée, the lomo saltado never disappoints, and the ají de gallina is something I am obsessed with. Truly comfort food perfection. I didn't know they open a new chi.che 105 in the gables. Found it by coincidence and it was a great find! I have been to the downtown and dadeland location but this location beat the other 2 in all areas. It's a beautiful restaurant and I like the concept they have going on. The food did not disappointed. We shared a jalea, very good but on the smaller side and the chaufa seafood rice was delicious. My favorite of the night was the dessert. I love their suspiro limeño. The drinks were amazing and the service was on point. Definitely my favorite new location. Parking is can be expensive or hard to find. But it's worth it. read more

CVI.CHE 105 is one of the restaurants that is within easy walking distance from the Loew's Hotel, where my wife and I were staying. The food was excellent, and the pisco-based cocktails were superb as we sat in the outdoor patio area overlooking the coral-sculptured fountain. The Conchas Gratin 105 was magical, paired with fresh Peruvian scallops and cheese au gratin. The creamy sauce with lime was divine, complementing the scallops well. Also magical was the Papas A La Huancaína with the Andean yellow pepper cream, while the ceviche dish we ordered at the start of our meal was scrumptious. We love Ceviche 105, especially the location at Dadeland Mall, so we decided to try this one since we were a large group of over 15 people celebrating my sister's birthday. The food was good--though not quite as good as the Dadeland location--but still enjoyable overall. One dish I didn't love was the jalea, which came topped with a lot of tartar sauce, canchitas, and fried plantains. It wasn't exactly what I expected. The main issue, however, was the service. One of the waiters who took our side of the table's order was particularly unpleasant. I gave her our appetizer order and mentioned I was still deciding on my main entrée. She suggested a snapper dish, which I politely declined, but she seemed visibly annoyed. She walked away and returned less than two minutes later asking again if we knew what we wanted. Once we placed our order, all of the food came out at the same time--appetizers and entrées together. With such a large group, the table quickly became overcrowded, and there was barely any space for the dishes. We ended up with cold appetizers and hot entrées placed wherever they could fit. When the manager came by, my husband mentioned that all the food had been brought out at once. Instead of addressing the concern, he simply giggled and walked away, which felt dismissive. I chose not to pursue the issue further because it was my sister's birthday and I didn't want to make a scene. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't return to this location. It's disappointing because we've always had great service at other Ceviche 105 locations, and we expected the same here. read more

Will return. We had a reservation at this Peruvian seafood restaurant on Sunday but our friends got stranded in SoBe (South Beach). Delicious food and wine, with good service. The decor is heavy. Is it inspired by the movie Avatar? Jungle, a bejeweled Elizabeth Taylor with heavy make up. It's 82 degree day in Miami, the outdoor section and the bar are wide open; the strong fans (yes kind of noisy...) blows enough cool air that I need a shawl. The two art works on the wall at the bar remind me of Avatar. The decor is rather tacky and busy but the delicious wines and food, plus good service can certainly off set that. Love their substantial utensil, but not the wine glasses - too thick. The bar counter doesn't have hooks for handbags but the bartender is nice to bring me a stand, thanks. We've four small plates Crunchy corn (what's the big fat corn) 1. Cevichi classico: must have 2. Anticucho filet: must have 3. Acevichado: tuna roll, excellent 4. Taco tartar: crunchy and creamy The ceviche has two kinds of corn kernels: a regular sized one, they made it crunchy; and a creamy colored fat one, that became big after cooking, per the bar tender. Both are great. The tuna roll: I usually eat the sushi rolls with soy sauce and wasabi. Recalling Mike Wagner (of Billions tv series) admonishing two young traders at a omakase counter for bathing their pieces in soy sauce (was it soy sauce?) ... so ... I braved the new world, ate it without any aid - it was delicious. I think their cooking is a slight notch above Sixty Vines - both are great. Who's responsible to clean up in the bathroom: the patrons pick up after themselves or the restaurant? A young staff came in the bathroom after me and said (I think), "let me clean than you take a photo." I said (hope she understood my Chinglish as well) that ... if a patron made a mess, maybe she should clean it up herself. ... sometimes it's the kid, she said (I think) But the kid is taught by their parents? I don't have an answer for it, but I do clean up myself bec I care. read more

Mother's Day celebration and we thought where better to go than Ceviche105 that we had loved before ! Unfortunately it was not to be. We reserved a corner table away from the bar where we could hear ourselves talk and not the loud Bam Bam Bam music in the background and was offered that very same area instead. Next my husband is a picky eater, and he had previously loved the Parihuela there. This time the Chef had changed the menu from Parihuela de mariscos to Parihuela Almelcochada. We asked the waiter, the maitre d' and the chef if we could just have the Parihuela without the extra rice or additions. It seems a simple enough request using the same broth and just adding the seafood... we were inflexibly denied and given the run around to order something else. This ruined the evening as my husband did not want to experiment other dishes and simply ordered a traditional ceviche. Evening ruiined and I could hardly eat my food. One of the best meals I had on a recent Miami visit! I chose CVI.CHE 105 for my intimate birthday dinner and am so, so glad I did. The restaurant is stunning! Once you step in, you're immersed with bright, lively colors, fun music, and a welcoming staff with big smiles. My girlfriend and I were seated in the back of the restaurant so we had a chance to enjoy all the welcoming vibes. We tried the following: - Ceviche Chucuito - Catch of the day, fresh scallops, tender octopus from the reef and crispy calamari. All these gems served with a rocoto leche de tigre and a secret touch. - Mi Favorito ¡Y Lo Dice Juan! - Delicious breaded tenderloin accompanied with linguini in Peruvian basil pesto. Topped with a fried egg and creamy huancaina sauce. - Pescado A Lo Macho - Crispy Fish Filet bathed in a perfect creamy seafood sauce. Accompanied with a steamed white rice I LOVE the green sauce that came to the table as part of our service - I swear I could drink that stuff. It was probably my favorite thing here. My second favorite part of the meal was definitely the ceviche - so fresh, so delicious, and bursting with great, clean flavor. My entree choice, the Mi Favorito ¡Y Lo Dice Juan!, was a bit underwhelming compared to everything else. The breading separated from the tenderloin and I thought the Peruvian basil pesto would be a standout but turns out it's very similar to American basil pesto. The fried egg was cooked perfectly, but overall the dish seemed to lack depth, texture, and flavor compared to everything else we tried. My friend's dish, the Pescado A Lo Macho, was much, much better in terms of flavor. We enjoyed great service throughout our meal. We actually had a couple of different servers and someone else who packed up our food. They don't skip a beat here - everyone works hard to provide the best experience to their patrons - that much is clear. Great experience, can't wait to come back. Wow! This restaurant is a total vibe. Everything including the bathroom is right on brand. We stopped by for a snack during lunch on a weekday, so it was empty. But I'm sure this place is happening at night! We ordered the Ceviche platter (came with three different ceviches) and plantains. The ceviche was so fresh and flavorful. What a wonderful dining experience at the Gables location on Father's Day this year. My father loves eating his ceviche on any day and we normally go to the Dadeland location but opted to try out the gables one. We sat outside by the water fall and cool art piece. The food is incredible. Weeks later and I'm still salivating over the fish, the pastel and the roll. The desserts are ok. We really come for the food. The music is milder compared to the party atmosphere at Dadeland. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was due to the wait for our drinks and food. The manager went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Parking is best on the street if you can find it. Overall it's a must visit for anyone who loves good Peruvian food. read more

I went w/ a friend for dinner last Sat and they were busy so I got a table outside around 8pm. Our waiter appeared to be nice, took our drinks order which took a while to arrive as I ordered espresso martini and my friend ordered the passion fruit martini. Then he gave us his suggestion as I typically order the classic ceviche so we went with what he recommended and we ordered the Ceviche Norteñazo which was the fresh catch of the day. Spicy leche de tigre with hints of limo pepper, Zarandaja beans, yuyo seaweed from Peru's seas, sweet potato puree and steamed corn croutons. The corn bread crisps were delicious but then 45 minutes or so goes by and he never came back to get our dinner order. By that time it was getting so late almost 10pm which was too late to eat a main. The manager came to talk to us, apologized and insisted we order a main so we ordered pollo Saltado which we took to go as we were tired and wanted to get back. They tried to right it but the worst part is when the waiter went to get the machine for us to pay, even that took a long time. I don't understand if it was an off evening as the downtown location is one of my favorite restaurants but this experience was horrendous and makes me question if they've expanded beyond their control? read more

We visited the Coral Gables location for a birthday dinner this week. The concept is stunning, but if you look closely all the art is of the owner which is lowkey hilarious. The food was excellent and they were easily able to accommodate our party of 14, even on relatively short notice, unlike other restaurants in the area who were requiring a deposit, minimum spend and a contract... We had decent service, a little slow and not super attentive but the quality of food and atmosphere made up for it. Overall a great experience, as we have come to expect from this restaurant group. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Oh my God, not only is the restaurant a super trendy spot, but the food is out of this world. I got the risotto with lomo salteado, mouthwatering, i can't proper adjectives to describe the symphony in my mouth as I ate. The steak was juicy and tender seasoned perfectly, not overpowering the delicious cut of beef . The service top notch . The parking in Coral Gables is always difficult however they do offer valet and right across the street is a valet service for the entire area. I had no clue this area even existed until yesterday.
