My wife and I ate at the bar and had the pleasure of having service delivered by Jon (Jonathan). We're from out of town and he was just as warm and welcoming to us as if we'd been coming there as locals for years. He greeted us promptly (pretty important in a bar situation), asked us if we planned on having food as well as drinks, and got our experience off on the right foot immediately. John was really helpful with menu knowledge and recommendations and he was personable and easy to talk to. Managed to check on us periodically despite having a pretty full bar room to manage. He did it all smoothly. The food exceeded our expectations too! Sure I just got a burger and fries but the burger was excellent, juicy, cooked exactly to my medium well preference, and the bacon was memorably good (I just got American cheese and bacon). I liked having the pickles, lettuce, and tomato on the side and he even asked in advance what condiments I wanted (sometimes I have to chase down a server after they deliver the burger and ask for mayo or mustard, not here). The fries were pretty good as well. My wife got the steak with rice and both were really good (the rice wasn't all that hot in temperature but still really tasty). Steak really was delicious and done to perfect medium well again. The carrots that accompanied the steak were great too! And the drinks were great, too! Pinot Grigio was really good and very reasonably priced and I had a great huckleberry peach margarita; my wife loved her whiskey (I think it was Pendleton Reserve maybe?). The friendly and welcoming ambiance didn't stop with Jon, either. Every server and staff member we interacted with was great. We had a really great time here and plan to return here the very next day on our last night in Wickenburg. P.S. Everywhere I could find online says Rancho Bar 7 allow dogs but they don't. I don't know how good the food is but it was a bummer because we had this listed as a destination spot on our way through town. Please update your online and Yelp info as it was the second such place in town that is listed as dog-friendly but it's not true. To be clear, we have two tiny dogs in a stroller and it was still a no-go. Super hangry and frustrating situation with little to zero apologies from the staff after I said it was listed as such online Even if the weather allowed us to leave them in the car, I wouldn't go back. read more

We stopped in for a drink after eating nearby. Walking in there is a separate entrance for bar away from the restaurant itself. You can of course still order food in the bar area. The bartender was friendly and pretty efficient. Unfortunately they don't have any sour beers or ciders here. However they do have many seltzers etc. it's mostly beer and of course hard alcohol. We ordered a beer on tap as well as the huckleberry peach margarita that was on special. Both were great, but the margarita was so dang good! It had a smooth taste and I really enjoyed it. This is our go-to restaurant BUT the last time we went there: The salad bar was not fresh The ravioli soup was inedible And the entire place needs a good clean. What happened? DW and I have been coming here for 24 years now, through about five sets of owners, most good, some bad. Back then, it was the only place in town you could get a Reuben. When owner #4 started serving microwaved canned food, we took it out of our rotation... but when we learned it had changed hands again, we gave it another try, and we're pleasantly impressed. The current menu has a few quirky and unusual offerings that are especially good -- such as the Fried Ravioli, which we both enjoy lots, and Michelle's Spicy Goulash, a zinged-up version of a dish our family knows as "American chop suey." The Pepperoni Flat Bread is like a "French bread pizza" with oodles of cheese (too much, if that's possible). They offer a creditable steakhouse menu (oddly enough, I don't think we've ever had steak here), a full complement of burgers, a fine variety of American sandwiches, and standard Mexican specialties (chimis, nachos, poppers). There's an AYCE soup and salad bar. Cap off your meal with one of their classic comfort desserts, like the brownie sundae, the fried pie, or "Tina's Mud Pie." So glad it's once again worth going here! (Fun fact: This restaurant is one of the oldest continuously operating establishments in town. It's one of only two listings in the 1955 Wickenburg phone book that is still in operation... and it still has the same name and phone number that it had 70 years ago!) read more

I have to say that this was more than a pleasant surprise! We did not know what restaurant we entered. The service was so friendly and welcoming! I had the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries! My husband had a patty melt with potato salad. we were on our way home from Vegas, and wanted to stop for dinner. we wanted a different place to eat, other than our usual stop, so i searched around. Rancho Bar 7 was open, and the salad bar really got my attention!! we stopped in around 730pm, seated, and got the ball rolling!! the salad bar is stocked with different premade salads like; potato, pasta, coleslaw- which was very delicious, cottage cheese, plus all the toppings you can add to lettuce!! the veggies were all super fresh, and we really loved the salad bar!! we order burgers, steaks, and i got the salmon. i kinda regretted ordering what i did, only because you never know what you will get, but man o man, my salmon was amazing!!! it was cooked med- rare; fine by me, it was tender, juicy, not fishy, and tasted great! it could have used more lemon sauce, but not a big deal. the steaks all came out perfectly, and tender. burgers were big, nice sized too!! my daughter got the steak and enchiladas plate, and WOW!! the red enchiladas sauce was definitely homemade deliciousness!!! we ordered dessert after, everything from the mud pie, the brownie sundae and fried pies were great!! this restaurant is a gem, and im really glad we stopped to try it out for our first time!!! will definitely be back next time we are in the area!! what a cute, and clean place !! read more

My Mom said, "This place is a great find!!!!" We had 2 Prime Rib's to split with 4. Prime Rib was perfect and flavorful... best Au Jus I have had, not salty... and I drank it all. They charge $42 for a fillet 8 ounce plus a baked potato wrapped in tinfoil and what they called mixed vegetables which apparently came out of a huge tin can. The ambience would be a Denny's if nobody renovated it for our 70 years. I would say its like a dive bar but that wouldn't be fair to dive bars. Second time here and once again NOT disappointed! The Reuben and club sandwiches are awesome, but the prime rib dip is my personal favorite!

This place was average. There was nothing about it that was bad and there was nothing about it that was exemplary. The fried pie was good and the sandwiches, while nothing to go out of your way for worked fine for a travel road stop. The wait took a Little longer than I expected but they only had one server. My critique would be that I wish my food had been hotter, they brought out the whole tables food all at once and the other people with me had hot french fries but my sweet potato fries were lukewarm read more

Horrible service if your Mexican ! Waited like 20 mins for no one to serve . The waiter went to the table next to us about 5 times .

Arrived at 5:30 PM, ordered a sandwich and a cocktail. At 6:20 PM, the other four people had their meals come to the table, but our waitress said noting about my sandwich. At 6:30, the waitress said something about the kitchen "still working on my sandwich." About 6:35, as the food had pretty much cooled, we were all given silverware to eat our food with. At 6:50, I got up to go across the street and get our tickets for the 7:00 movie. The waitress finally approached me (with the bill) and asked if I wanted to take a box of salad from the salad bar. I told her that I didn't't think it would work out well eating salad in the movie. I think it's a reasonable expectation to be served a hamburger within 100 minutes, or, at least, within an hour. After all, I saw others get their hamburgers at other tables... and they weren't slaughtering a steer out in the parking lot.. I don't understand this. I was first to order: if anything, I was polite and congenial. My order was for a fairly simple sandwich and french fries, nothing unusual or custom about the order. I wasn't in any way, shape, or form unpleasant, rude, abrupt, insulting, or nasty... yet that's the service I received. Our waitress avoided our table as everyone else finished their meals, despite 3 out of 4 other attempting to get her attention to inquire about our meal. Our friends were bewildered by this incident. The sticky table was an added attraction to the evening. The cocktail? I think they forgot to add the tequila. If you go there for something to eat, bring a snack. Or a hamburger. Zane's does a pretty good job on burger and fries: bring your own -- and some anti-bacterial wipes for the table. If you're ignored, it's par for the course. If you're rudely ignored, they're on their best game. This was only the third time in three years that I've been to this restaurant... and there isn't any reason from he two prior visits to justify the treatment I received tonight. If the owners don't want me to return to Bar Seven, they got their wish: I'm not going back. Ever. I'd add a picture of my meal but there's nothing to show you. Oh, one other thing: the meal prices are on par with Gold Rush days. Almost $40 for a steak? Pass. read more

My wife and friends always go here when we're in the area. Food is always pretty darn good, but you better have some thick skin. Waitresses would be considered rude by some. A great find! Traveling home from Vegas, stopped here for a bite and ended up staying for three hours. Sat inside and had a couple drinks (generous pours) and the chips and queso were delicious. Ordered a Cheeseburger which I couldn't finish it was so big. The cole slaw was spicy and very tasty. Was about to leave when we heard loud music. We stepped out back and were pleasantly surprised by the covered patio/bar and a great local 2-person band. We grabbed our drinks and enjoyed the live band for a couple hours until it got dark and we had to make our way back to Phoenix. read more
