Within the Bandejo Paisa, the grilled skirt steak was thin and tough, a little hard to cut. The skirt steak was well seasoned though a bit too tough. The beans and rice? Oh, they were amazing! Not sure what's in them, but I did not see myself enjoying beans and rice so much. The slice of avocado and a fried egg were also delicious and unexpected, especially in the current times (*ahem* cost). Now for the plantain, it was enjoyable, but the main star of the show, the pork belly tasted candied, sticky, and reminded me of chincharrones. If you enjoy a fatty pork belly, then you'll definitely enjoy this main. Otherwise, you may stray away from it like I did. Overall, I think it was a good experience, but I wish that there was a more descriptive menu for those who don't know as much Spanish.

Giving this place one star is TOO MUCH! The owner is a shovanistic pig! He doesn't believe n women working just as hard as men! Wow, beware he always keeps help wanted sign in the window, there is a reason for that! Also, he lets a cat walk around the place at night when everyone is gone to keep the rats out, so the cat walks all over the plates and tables where the customers eat! YUCK! Plus, this was going to be my first Peruvian cuisine experience in Jersey City. Was the sabor a Peru to my liking!? PURCHASE(S) Corn Kernel Snack (COMP): A seasoned crunchy snack when we first sat down, these were enjoyable and my first time ever having them! Ceviche De Camarones ($19.50): A tidy shrimp ceviche appetizer for all to try, the medium shrimp (8 pieces) were plump and tender in a citrusy juice, with an assortment of carrot, lettuce, red onion, and white beans, this was a nice way to start our respective meals. Pollo A Lo Pobre ($20.95): Translated to "poor man's chicken", this truly hearty entree came with a large grilled lightly seasoned tender piece of chicken, two runny sunny-side up eggs, a heaping cup of puffy steamed white rice, a bed of crisp golden fries, and several pieces of sweet plantains.
