With disappointment and frustration over the experience that I had a few days ago. El Rancho has struck out!!! I don't know where they get their employees from but the customer service is horrible. My wife and I ordered tacos and it was the absolute worse tacos... The guy who prepared the tacos had no desire but to do a half ass job, which he did!! This is the worse customer service ever, can't talk to people like this one lady with gray shirt did. First of all I work on customer service and I would never talk to a customer like the way she talked to my wife not even when customers are rude, and me and my wife didn't even say anything to her but not only that I also heard her yelling at someone else couple minutes before the inside. What happened to this place they have really gone downhill. I usually come here every year to buy my pork and corn husks to make tamales. I also pick up something from the hot food deli and pan dulce section. i was very disappointed I bought 1 Lb and 3/4 of their skirt steak or flank steak to make carne asada. Most of it was covered with thick white grissle underneath, they kept it hidden and the price was ridiculously high. $ 18.79 It was too tough to chew and my husband said no way his teeth couldn't chew it. Really needed a pounding and meat tenderizer even after the marinade still tough, but there's just no way I'm going to pour meat tenderizer all over its so bad for you with MSG in it. Prices have really gone up at the food deli. I tried the new pupusas and nothing special, they were like a double corn tortilla with mozzarella cheese in the middle with charred marks.. Their red salsa still has the red chile peels and seeds in it. What happened and no fresh Tamala dough at this time of course, which I wasn't expecting unless you buy a factory made bagged one full of preservatives. Their aqua Fresca was $ 3.25 for just a very small cup size one, smaller then a Taco Bell small size. The only thing that is still a halfway bargain are the pan dulces at $.99 each. Their help yourself jumbo frozen raw shrimp in a cooler looked frost bit, dirty, and stuck together from people handling it. I passed on that and any other meat that day. One more thing I put my Ozarka water back they wanted $7.99 for it, can you believe these money hungry people what they're charging these poor people who shop here. Well I guess I'll be looking at another Mexican markets to see if there's any better ones for my Tamale days. This market looks dirty run down now with barely any parking outside at all. Oh and the aisles inside are crowded with hardly any space to get by. Looks like a store in Quarez or the poorest town in Mexico didn't seem safe at all wouldn't want to park here at night. Packed parking lot. Shopping carts not in order. Shopping carts were not being returned. The place looks like it has bad management now, or nobody cares. Employees just stare at you don't greet you. I love coming to El Rancho! They have juices that they squeeze fresh in front of you! You can get a 32oz for $7.99! I love getting a mix of carrot, beet, and oranges. I also like how you get actual liquid it's not grainy. Don't even get me started on their fresh baked breads and cakes! They are all delicious and only 0.75cents a bread! read more

Moved to Mckinney recently and was excited to visit this huge Mexican market. However missed the warm homemade tortillas in the huge chests that we had at La Aztecs in Denton. The tortillas appear to be made in house but are very dry. Meat selection is good. Don't come on Sunday after church it's a madhouse. read more

What a great grocery store. I walked in and was awed! On the left were rows of beautiful Mexican pastries. In the middle in front of me was fresh baked bollilo rolls and such. On the right? An array of the most beautiful and fun and amazing looking cakes I've seen in a very long time. On past it was where you could get tacos, and enchiladas, and breakfast ....oh my!! The produce I had gone in for was fresh and looked more like organic does. It didn't look perfect, like some of the cucumbers were almost a horseshoe shape. It all looked like it had just come from a home garden. The meat counter was well stocked and prices were better than the other store in town. We bought Pastor, two kinds of beef fajita mean, riblets and chorizo. All of them were great after cooking! We picked up a few other food items, I was expecting the bill to be about $100, it was only $67. Everyone was friendly, and the place was so clean. What a great addition this place is to McKinney!!! read more

I am really disapointed about some prices in the produce department, specially the jalapeños and tomatillos price of 1.69 lb. This was during Christmas holidays and yesterday too. Jalapeños at 1.69 lb.??? Got to be some wrong with this! This is a rip off to our people! Wamart got those jalapeños for 50 cents. As well in other groceries store in our areas is under a dollar a lb. Sorry l love your store but seeing this high prices for the peppers upset me and l don't wanted to go back to your store located in McKinney TX. read more

The reason I put two stars was because I had a bad customer experience,because we waited in line 25min to buy agua frescas and the lady who was surviving there saw that we were next in line but she decided to go to the next person who weren't even buying agua frescas and then she gave me and my mom a dirty and glaring back and forth I never been treated like this, I felt really uncomfortable. No hate on the lady maybe she was having a bad day but you shouldn't treat customer like , especially if there willing to spend money there to buy stuff. read more

I honestly never write reviews, but this store has the worst employees, cashiers, and management. The cashiers have attitudes and one cashier named Paola T. LITERALLY rolled her eyes at me when questioning the prices of certain things at the register. The employees are lazy and leave prices from past sales up in store and when you point it out to management, they go back and change it really fast and say it was always like that and that you as the customer misread the price.
