This place never disappoints me. Authentic food and good margaritas and the prices are reasonable. My fav Mexican restaurant.

First and last time. Food mediocre, prices ok but waiter was nice. I had tacos so you can't really mess that up. My friend had fish tacos which she also said was ok. Since this sports bar opened its been a good spot to eat, drink and gather. Weekday lunch hour is usually dead so you can get in and out quickly. "DJ" nights are pretty fun. Alot of people host parties here (myself included) and I know wait-times can be lengthy if you run late. The crowd can get a little wild once the drinks start flowing but security is pretty discrete with resolving the issue. I've been here 3 times now and The food is really good but no social distancing what so ever.. (literally back to back touching people from other tables, so don't come here if your a conservative person looking for personal distance) the drinks were pretty weak but I think I'll try top Chef next time and see if that changes any. First of all the food was delicious. There was an Astros game going on so it was very loud, but honestly it was to be expected from their setup. We ordered two different entrees and a flight of margaritas. The shrimp brochettes were the best. The problem came when I got the bill. I was charged $2 more for the dinner than was listed on the menu when I ordered. I brought this to my waitress's attention and she said that I was looking at the lunch menu. I was not and asked her to bring the menu. I was indeed correct. My $17.99 meal was now $19.99. She said that they had increased their prices and asked if I was ok to pay the new amount. Really?!?! Of course not. If you want to change the price, it should be reflected on your menu. Just print new ones. This place sucks. Do not eat here, they are not honoring the 6 ft rule. They still allow customers in without face mask. When we asked the manager Roy , (if that's his real name) about why they were not socially distancing. "Roy" said " You don't have to eat here if you don't want to". Daughter and her man took us for lunch today. Daughter had the shrimp tacos, which she said as fabulous. Nice smoky flavor to the bacon. Her man had the quesadillas, which looked amazing. Hubby had the burrito and said flavor of the beef was very good. I had plate with taco and cheese enchilada. The cheese enchilada was great smooth cheese and excellent flavor. El Refu has Absolutely piss poor customer service! We came to have a good time waited for an hour just to be told it would be another 30 minutes. Another family came in and supposedly knew the manager/owner he claims which his name is Micky. He tried to put the whole family ahead of us in which we brought it to his attention and started speaking Spanish. He kept saying we were next but still was trying to seat the other family that had just walked in with no reservations. On top of that he kept laughing in my face and started talking more Spanish to the hostess. Micky is a piss poor manager and owner! For him to treat customers this way is ridiculous! I've been coming to this place with my family for over a year and never had any issues i enjoyed the music,food and drinks but today my experience has tuned for the worst I've experienced here . My waitress was extremely rude to me and my family and i have no clue to why she is acting in this manner because we've had her plenty of times before and never she's treating us in such a negative why . I started our night off with a few drinks and after waiting a little then usual to place our food order I tried calling her over at least 10 times or more as I see her walking by our table to assist the next table and she's not even acknowledging me calling her and i sent next to the cash register which she was at typing in an order i specifically called her looking into her eyes as she simply ignores me i then asked the young man by the name of Daniel that was assisting her to ask her to come see me and i saw her brush him off and still didn't come so when i finally had to nearly yelled she came i asked her very respectfully why or you ignoring me and have i did anything wrong (her response i have other customer and to bust to help you very rude i then told all she had to do was simple acknowledge me and I've very understanding I'm a professional businessman and i understand busy and i know times get overwhelming but her behavior tonight was very unacceptable.I asked to speak to a manager and she had Oscar to come over to I expressed my concerns and his words were (she's busy !!!)
