    Chimichanga Dinner
    Yandia J.

Came by 5/19/2026, cause I was craven Mexican food. Always love the drinks here. FLIGHTS. But wanted a fish plate, but don't realky like Talipia. Seems that's all they have here FOR FISH. So got my REGULAR fajita chicken chimichanga with churro beans instead of refried. Good vibes here again. Music by DJ was hip hop mostly. The crowd was mostly Hispanics/African American. Little rachet, but anywhere with a DJ these days pass 12am is giving Club Vibes. At least no security upfront, with closing time at 2am. Sat at the bar and conversed with bar folks. Atomsphere is high here, and seems every night that way. Not a place to bring the little ones passed 9pm. Grown folks energy here.

Sheeee's baaaack, here today! Babaaaa, here I am back for my 2025 Yelp reviews. Starting my calories off at El Refu's for lunch, now I went the entire last year dieting because summers are so exciting for me and the passengers I transport. As the food fatty connoisseur I am, El Refu's is the first restaurant I'm reviewing. I luvd the vibe, I could picture me and some friends watching Clarissa Shields next fight while eating fajitas and sipping on margaritas...they nailed the concept. I ordered the chimichanga mixed with beef and chicken because I couldn't decide on either or; it's a food fatty thing. The moist and tender meats was seasoned to peeerfection, I truly didn't mean to eat the entire NOT lunch portion so keep your eyes on your own plate:) I ordered an Arnold Palmer and could tell the tea was freshly made, service was great. My co worker ordered the #17 off the lunch menu, he stated he wanted to eat light. 5 star review! Here today. There tomorrow!

Another highly recommended place from coworkers..Upon arrival we realized parking lot is small and is shared by several other businesses. We entered the establishment and was seated promptly. Was immediately brought chips and salsa and they took our drink order. We decided on the chimiicuanga rice/neans and the chicken enchiladas they came out fairly quickly mine was good however the Mr had some spots within his chimichanga that was lukewarm..I feel like after our meal was brought the customer service went downhill (place wasn't really busy at the time however as we were finishing up the crowd started) no check back, no drink refill, we were sitting next to ladies who was upset that they automatically added gratuity (table of 2) yes the manager took it off but I would make sure to check ticket theres alot of added $$ to simple things like leaving your tab open while at the bar area..Overall this place seems like a cool vibe to come and watch the game have a few drinks and chill.

Our first time checking this place out. It was recommended by a couple of coworkers so we decided to give it a try. Nice little spot. Ambience is nice, we didnt order drinks but they have some good looking drinks. We were seated promptly and our waters followed soon after. Their green salsa is amazing. Once we ordered, I had the chimichonga and my wife the enchiladas Verde. Our food came quick. My wife loved hers. Mine on the other hand ‍ if you're a chimichonga lover dont order it. They normally come with rice and beans and cheese inside. This one only had the meet. So when I cut into it there's othing to hold the meet together. Chicken just fell out with every cut. So I had to mix it with my beans and rice and eat it like a salad. Had I known I would have eaten it like a burrito. It all tasted good and is the reason we would return but I won't order the chimi. Also watch your receipt. Couple of ladies next to us had an issue with them adding a 15% gratuity to their ticket for only 2 people. If you open a tab at the bar a 15% gratuity will be added also which is a little weird to me. So you have to pay for each drink as you go which causes more work for the bar tenders. Go figure.

If you ho here be ready to party. We had a great time here. Dj played music, some of the waitress were dancing as they moved around, the bar was full of people. The food was good and the drinks are real drinks. We missed the happy hour, so we plan to go again for happy hour.

I had the greatest most unexpected time here, and I can't wait to go back. The food is so good and the drinks... well, pardon my French will fu$@ ypu up outta no where!! I I loved loved loved the chunky guacamole, and their shrimp a la plancha was soo Good I ordered extra!!! The place is such a neat spot decorated like you're walking into an old Mexican town fair. The servers are great and very attentive. I love that I ordered and was shocked when everything came out at once!!! I am definitely planning on becoming a frequent flyer here!!

Food and drink is decent but when the DJ starts on the weekend it's not a restaurant, it's a club. After 8, it gets really loud.

You can tell this is a true family-owned restaurant, and that personal touch makes a huge difference. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the biggest smiles. Sabino and his family made us feel welcome right away, and the service from his daughters was absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And the FOOD... We started with the chips and queso, and that queso was easily one of the best I've had in a long time. You can taste that it's made in-house, and the jalapeños on the side were the perfect touch. I ordered the Enchiladas Al Carbon, and they were GOOD AF. The fajita meat was flavorful and tender, and the enchiladas, beans, and rice were all delicious. Even the sides stood out, which says a lot because I'm usually more focused on the main dish. My spouse ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and absolutely loved them. The mole had so much flavor, and was already talking about wanting them again. We also had margaritas. I had one on the rocks and my spouse had a frozen margarita. Both were delicious and, thankfully, they weren't shy with the tequila. Definitely a good margarita! What really stood out to us, though, was the hospitality. There's something special about eating somewhere where the owners and their family are actually there, taking care of their customers and putting their heart into the restaurant. You don't always get that at the bigger Mexican restaurants. If you're in the Humble/Atascocita area, PLEASE give Sabino's a try. This is exactly the kind of local, family-owned business that deserves our support. Great food, strong margaritas, friendly people, and that welcoming feeling like you're eating at someone's family table along with great music playing. We will absolutely be back!

We ordered mixed fajitas for two. Yummy! Hot, seasoned well, and the tortillas...amazing. The guacamole was SO GOOD, I thought about ordering some to take home, but we live two hours away. My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.
