This place is amazing. I live in town and it is one of my favorite restaurants, especially because…read moreit is a nice change of pace from the numerous Italian and pizza places. It's tiny, with only enough space for about ten tables, so the atmosphere is super cozy. My son and I came here last night during Haddonfield's Friday night candlelight holiday shopping when all of Kings Highway was lit up and filled with carolers and shoppers. My son got the burrito de pescado ($15) and I got the enchiladas de carnitas ($20). Both were excellent and incredibly filling. They don't accept reservations so you'll have to show up and try your luck, and possibly put your name on a waitlist and wait for a call. Also, they will knock 10% off your bill if you pay in cash.

I had the pork tacos and they were absolutely fantastic. I had to special request a side of…read moreshredded cheese to put on them, but that was okay because they were willing to give it to me. But, their menu should indicate that it is an option. More importantly, the tables don't have hot sauce, but that was fine I suppose since the tacos already had a bit of a kick to them. They were very rich in flavor and the staff are very welcoming and I love the fact that it's easy to walk here from the PATCO Subway Station. But, the establishment is not wheelchair accessible, which is a big red flag in my book, because even though I am not a wheelchair user, I have witnessed firsthand the struggles of those who are. It is the very reason why I hate SEPTA, because 60% of their stations do not meet ADA requirements. All in all, I strongly recommend this place if you like tacos.

I really wanted to like this place based on an extremely high recommendation. Unfortunately, the…read morefood and service didn't quite meet the expecations it was hyped up to be. I vascilated between 3 and 4 stars, so I'll instead provide a breakdown: Menu: 5 stars. The menus are easy to read, detailed, and organized. The menus aren't your standard laminated menus. They have a thick, very pretty, sturdy cover. They provide the prices for different meat options. I appreciate that many menu items can be or are gluten free. Ambience: 5 stars. I am a total sucker for supporting small, privately owned businesses! Bonus points for being immigrant/POC/Black-owned business! The restaurant was small but still with a good amount of wiggle room for dining in. Everything was clean and somewhat modern for what was described to me as "a hole in the wall" (in a good way), as I was expecting it to be a little dated and dingy. It wasn't. It was bright, cool, and airy. Service: 3-stars. service was mid. Our server didn't seem overly-excited to be there. He communicated well, but with very little friendliness or enthusiasm. I'd say, at best, his demeanor was neutral, and I can live with that, considering I've encountered a lot of times where people in the service industry act like they don't appreciate your business and are doing you a favor just by taking your order, smh. Food: 3.5 stars. Presentation was beautiful! Very well-done! Unfortunately, I found my tres moles enchiladas lacking that "pow" in taste that I love about mole. I also love my enchiladas drowned in mole sauce, especially eating with chicken breast, which can be a very mild/bland and dry meat. The chicken itself wasn't necessarily dry, but because it was chicken breast, and the feel of the dish was on the dry side. That being said, my fellow diners LOVED their dishes and said they'd come back again! Unfortunately, they don't provide reviews on Yelp, so I invite you to take my review as a grain of salt and try this restaurant out for yourself.

The broth was rich, flavorful, and had that perfect comfort taste I've been missing. Also got lengua, tripa, and bistec tacos, and honestly, they were all amazing. The lengua was super tender, the tripa had that crispy bite, and the steak was juicy and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they know what they're doing in the kitchen, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Loved every bite.

It is a very small restaurant. They have tables where you can sit and one of the servers comes from behind the counter to take your order and get you your food. They are all very friendly. Be prepared for the loud music. For some this might be a problem. But for me, it put me in the mood to dance in my seat and enjoy my food even more. They have a very extensive menu. Most of the menu is Mexican street food. I appreciate that they do some mingle of Mexican American items. But I tried to stick to what's authentic. The times that I have visit I have had the street corn Loco style and quesadilla with chorizo and potatoes and I have had several different flavors of taco. You cannot go wrong. The food is flavorful and well prepared. If you decide to eat there, be sure to find parking somewhere in the neighborhood and do the parking app. It is hard to find parking but usually somewhere up or down the street you can find a spot. If you do take out, there is a laundromat across the street with a parking lot. Park at your own risk. When I did take away, it took about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. When I sat and ate I lingered a while and was there for about an hour and a half. I love the flavors of the food and you can tell that they really take time and effort to make it taste good. You can put their green salsa on anything and it would raise a flavor about 50%. All of their sauces are good but the green one is my favorite. I would definitely come back and it is convenient because the restaurant is right across the bridge in Camden so you don't have to go that far into New Jersey for a great bite.
