After a long hike, we were starving. We stumbled upon El Rincon while browsing the shopping plaza. On a Saturday, our wait wasn't too bad and we were able to get a table outside. There were 4 of us and we decided to share a nacho and fajitas plates. We also had a sopapilla. We thought we were going light btwn the 4 of us sharing, but it ended up actually really being filling. No complaints! Our waiter was great and always made sure we had tortilla chips, salasa and water. I would like to try other items on the menu in the future.

Food was good, portions are very large, service was decent, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the area was the most beautiful of it all. It's worth coming here for the ambiance alone[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here after an intense hike and we were hungry. The service was amazing. We really enjoyed the salsa. My daughter got these really yummy beef Machado tacos and my son got chicken fajitas. I got an à la carte chicken flauta. Everything was delicious and the food was fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great post hike spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So good! Green chile and corn tamale, fish tacos with corn tortillas and shredded beef smothered burrito. Also, amazing margaritas. Would definitely come back.

This has turned into my fav place to stop after a nice hike in Sedona! Such filling delicious food. The service is always nice. Even though a server had like TWENTY TABLES he still managed to always check in on us and our food came out pretty quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This isn't the LARGEST restaurant so if you have a big group make sure to make a reservation beforehand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love this place and will always come back when I'm in Sedona.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a fairly quick, tasty place to eat in a very busy and cute shopping center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good and the food reasonably priced; however, I will say it's the service that stands out in my memory. They were helpful, thoughtful and kind. I really appreciated how helpful they were in finding the right dishes to fit our appetites! All in all, a good stop!

We tried this place for lunch and had a good experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a group of 8 split up between 2 tables on the covered patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chips and salsa were tasty. The salsa has a nice kick to it, but not overwhelming. My daughter enjoyed her quesadilla with rice and beans. My wife tried the shredded beef taco salad. The portion size was huge and it had great flavor. I tried the rolled quesadillas. It came with six tasty pieces. The service was good and the staff were friendly.

Great traditional Arizona Mexican food. Split a chimichanga with hubby. Delicious rich Mexican food. Must try!

Was referred here and we were craving Mexican so we were so happy to pull in to Tlaquepaque and see it right away and get a table. The prickly pear margarita (my friend got with Tito's instead- might have been laughed at) was REALLY GOOD- I got the house/rocks/salt. I got the beans and chicken tostado and it was the perfect amount of food and really good. My friend got an enchilada and beef taco and liked it too. I don't feel like it was anything groundbreaking but we were super happy, good service and solid drinks.

Food was average but we were so hungry and there was not a long wait. They have patio with outdoor seating and heat lamps. The Navajo Pizza was good but the crust was kinda soggy. The large nachos were ginormous and could be shared by the entire table. The salsa was the hit of the party. Everything was just average.

This was such a lovely restaurant. We sat outside on the patio so we could hear the nearby live music. My Navajo pizza was so good. And the margarita, oh my god, it was so good. Definitely get a margarita!

My friends tried the halibut, the brisket enchiladas, and the carne asada and all the sauces were very good. The chips and salsa was also very tasty. Strong drinks. Parking lot was full so we parked next door. We also made a reservation. Please come and create your own adventure.

Was unable to previously because they were already on their vacation last year for July 4th weekend. Luckily we were able to catch them before they went on vacation this July 4th weekend (Closed July 5th - 21st, 2026). Althought they OPEN at 5pm, they allow you to call in for pick-up orders starting at 3pm. Between the 4 of us, we had ordered a variety of items --Botanas (Snack)-- ELOTE - fire roasted corn with spicy mayo, lime, and cotija cheese Decent sized bowl of juicy, flavorful corn mixed with creamy mayo and cotija cheese topped with some lime juice. PERFECT snack with included chips (or your own chips). I ordered 2 of these because im a piggy and i just heard that its yummy .... PORK BELLY TACOS (2) - Slow roasted house cured pork belly with mango arbol salsa Surprisingly LARGE slab of pork belly topped with a nice bright mango salsa, cilanto, and shards of radish with a sice of pickled onions. Did NOT feel heavy/fatty at all. Their tortillas are nice and soft as well --Platos Fuertes (Main Courses)-- served with rice & refried black beans LAMB ADOBO - braised Superior Farms lamb shank served with a robust ancho chile sauce HUGE lamb shank with a deep roasted chile sauce, also topped with pico de gallo and their pickled onions. Had a very NICE lamb flavor. Meat was falling off the bone. Went amazing with the included rice and beans. If you had small tortillas, can make little wraps with it too ! SMOKED BRISKET ENCHILADAS - 14 hour smoked Prime Niman Ranch brisket with roasted tomato chipotle sauce and crema Deliciously fatty and tender brisket drenched in that tomato chipotle sauce, crema, pickled onions, and sour cream. Only took a bite of this but was delicous SHRIMP AND PORK BELLY - Grilled wild Mexican shirmp with slow roasted pork belly with arbol salsa and cilantro crema The ONLY dish we didn't get to "try". Friend had ordered this for himself and requested the sauce on the side. He said the shrimp was delicious in comparison to the pork belly. Id assume its probably similar/same pork belly as the previous pork belly tacos. The shrimp looked quite large though ! DUCK CARNITAS - Slow roasted duck served with pasilla chile sauce and guacamole Yummy roasted duck with chile sauce, good amount of guacamole and a ton of various veggies, pico and fresh jalepeno. Weirdly the duck wasn't in slices but all sorts of varying sizes. There were some good pieces on top but lots of small pieces hiding around. Elote Cafe offerings ARE on a pricier side BUT they are ALL delicious. It is actually kind of DIFFICULT to find a GOOD restaurant in Sedona, weirdly. Would definitely eat here again in the future, if i come back to Sedona

Ok so I was so excited to go here. There is something really comforting about a tamale done right!…read moreThe glowing reviews and pictures seemed promising. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.

We left both of our meals 3/4 uneaten. We had the calamari as an appetizer- it was soggy, but that wasn't the problem tbh- it was the other two dishes we ordered: the southwest pasta tasted bad. How do you screw up pasta? The description of the dish sounds delish, pasta, mushrooms, chicken, spinach in a tomato cream sauce, it was horrible. Something must have been spoiled in the above listed ingredients to have it taste that way. I had ordered the chicken lettuce wraps as my main and it tasted reheated. The Paloma and Smoky peach margarita had way too much alcohol and also had zero flavor, we asked for them to be removed from our bill because we could not drink them. You can enjoy sunset without eating here as there is a lookout. Save yourself the waste of money and don't eat here. We literally left the Mesa Grill and had to go grab food elsewhere.
