Vegans pay attention: Willy's, located in Oak Creek Village, has a great variety of worldly inspired empanadas! I indulged in their Green Chili, Mushroom & Potato selection which was forward in both flavor and heat. Talking with their staff, I came to find that this flavor was also one of their favorites! Their menu is deep, with tons of both meat and meatless options for everyone, AND they have a solid draft beer selection. The staff is friendly and even shared their photo wall of the staff's canine companions! Come to find out, the place is named after the owner's dog "Willy"!

We were on our way out and needed a quick bite before hitting the road. My friend found this place while looking up empanadas. Didn't think a place even existed in this tiny town. There is a wide variety of empanadas on their menu and everything sounded amazing. It was so hard to choose. My friend and I each picked two choices and there was a 10-15 minute wait. They make them fresh and I tell you it was worth the wait! That first bite just melts in your mouth. I was tempted to go back and pick up a dozen to take home with me. Will definitely be back again!

This quickly has become our favorite place on a visit to Sedona this year. We stopped here on the way, driving into Sedona and on the way driving out. The empanadas are so delicious. I highly recommend these shepherds pie, the chicken pot pie, the Philly cheesesteak. You won't get something you don't like. Staff is incredibly great and helpful. There is a perfect indoor seating area as well as an outdoor seating area that looks out over the rocks and the little shopping plaza courtyard.

Gluten free vegan chocolate lava cake. Small and pricey but Delicious!!!

Vegan reviewer here! Went to their sister restaurant today looking for empanadas and found out they opened a store a few doors down and had to check it out. I stopped in Sunday afternoon and was delighted to see the vegan empanadas I enjoyed at Dellaphine were just a few doors down. They had several non vegan options and a dedicated vegan section which had a few options. I decided on the vegan spanakopita and vegan chicken curry after finding out they were sold out of their vegan buffalo and a side of green sauce to go. I was hoping they had a sweet empanada but none were vegan although they all sounded tasty. It's a fast casual restaurant with a patio and I placed my order at the register and took a seat. Shortly after the cashier approached me and notified me they had a vegan gluten free lava cake which I delightfully ordered. I placed my order to go and it was brought to my table shortly after. The staff were friendly and helpful! I went to my car and stole a bite of the lava cake and ended up eating the entire thing lol. It was small and a bit overpriced but legitimately delicious! I made the drive back down to Phoenix with my empanadas and popped them in their air fryer before enjoying. The spanakopita was more herby than I expected and not my favorite I probably wouldn't order that again but I really enjoyed the chicken curry! It was packed with vegan chicken and the curry was light and not too overpowering which I enjoyed. They green sauce was a good edition as it allowed me to enjoy both flavors without taking over. I spent $26 including tip and I would stop by again if I'm in the area

    BBQ Pork, so good!

I finally made it to Willy's and it was amazing. The BBQ Pork empanada was sweet, smoky, a bit spicy and cooked perfectly. The Jalisco Spicy Lamb had a TON of flavor and was the messiest of the three! (Not a bad thing) Finally, I had the Spicy Beef and Potatoes - it perfectly complimented the other two that were a bit more 'rich'. All three cooked perfectly, piping hot and I highly recommend all of them. Note - it IS Sedona, but at $8 each I wish there was a locals discount. Splitting hairs, so glad I stopped in. Forgot to mention, very clean and friendly, attentive service.

The yucca fries tasted great, not healthy if thast what you're going for when you think of yucca since it's deep-fried in a potato batter, but it was good. We did still eat the food, though I had to down a whole glass of water with it (which didn't get refilled until after I asked for the check.. it was not a busy night, we were surrounded by empty tables). When asked how our food was toward the end of our meal I mentioned that the patties were too salty but that the yucca fries were good. Nothing was mentioned/done about that for us but hopefully they checked on that for the sake of the rest of their customers after us.

This is an order at the register then find your table establishment. Much of the menu was tempting, but we settled on the Rowdy Reuben with sweet potato fries and the Rajun Cajun with seasoned fries. There's a nice variety of canned and bottled sodas in the fridge next to the checkout, so we snagged the local sumac berries strawberry and peaches & cream Navajo Fizz sodas. These quenched our thirst without being too sweet or carbonated, and it was difficult to not drink more than one. Our order came out fairly quickly, in about 15 minutes, and was piping hot and fresh. Both sandwiches and fries were great and included fairly large portion sizes. The Rajun Cajun featured an impressive amount of thin cut avocado slices and bacon, although I really did not taste the Cajun seasoning. My favorites were the crispy sweet potato fries and Reuben sandwich with homemade sauerkraut. Be sure to request some of Outlaw Grille's homemade ranch to go along with it if you're a fries + ranch person. It's completely shaded but open to outside air. After ordering the The Morning After burger (Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar, Fresh Jalapenos) + small Seasoned Fries (for 1-2 people), we waited about 15 minutes for the food to be brought to our table. They were kind enough to cut the burger in half and provide an egg for each half, since they knew we were sharing!! Indeed, 1 burger and 1 small fry is enough to feed 2 people. As expected, the burger was juicy, flavorful, and the egg was perfectly fried to still be runny. Outlaw Grille is a small burger joint packed with big flavors. No frills, no nonsense -- just good ass food at reasonable prices. Bonus: asking for a free water cup will score you delicious Sedona spring water!

They also have a pretty elevated menu that surprised me with some of the menu options that were pretty inventive. Vibe: They have plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside and out, and they are dog friendly. There is a lot of open space and I like the area because you get a nice view, the little courtyard is really relaxing and they are very welcoming. Service: One thing that stood out to me was the cans that have a red and green on each side. If you flip it to the green it lets them know you need the host and red if your table is good. They are very attentive this way so I really liked this. Or hosts were very amazing and sweet and gave some good suggestions. Beer: I got one of the ambers, and my wife got one of their lighter beers. Hers kind of had the taste of miller light so it was ok, and mine was good. We did not try yo many beers, their IPA's looked pretty good but we wanted t something light and simple. Food: We opened up with their patatas bravas fries with sweet potato fries and they were really good, we could not stop eating them, the sauce was delicious and the sweet potato fries were perfection. My mother in law got the chicken sandwich and chips and that was definitely the way to go, crispy, savory and just delicious, I got the Thai burger, med rare with chips, this is where I say they got inventive, I have never had a Thai burger and being a cook myself I loved the concept. Unfortunately my burger was a little more rare that mid rare the closer I got to the center of it and under seasoned there were some Thai flavors present but most of it was taken over by the slaw, so you did not get much of the peanut sauce, the crunchy noodle part of it go more soggy and so did the bun. I think it's a wonderful concept, I think there may be a better bun to use to not let it get so soggy, and I think there are some amazing Thai spices you can get with the protein. My wife got the Greek Tacos and they were ok too, I love the concept but I think instead of corn tortillas I would do some thin naan , I would have more Greek style seasoning and some kind of sauce with some heat with it and you have a winner. Over all it was fun, love the inventive concept I was going to do three starts but honestly I love that your doing interesting foods. .
