Mexican food! Finally! Yes! So my hometown is Zacatecas, Mexico and I couldn't believe there was a restaurant in New Hampshire named after my hometown! So of course I had to try it! The restaurant is super cute and quaint with a nice bar. They have a huge margarita menu which is overwhelming so I had to ask which one was the most popular one and got that one. The menu looked good but I was really craving tacos so I order some tacos Al Pastor which came with a side of beans and rice. My boyfriend got one of their meat platters which also looked good. The tacos were very good! The tortillas especially stood out because they tasted legit! The rice and beans also tasted authentic so I was very satisfied with my choice. My boyfriends meat dish was very tasty and he was kind enough to share a few bites. My margarita was huge and tasted very strong but I was ok with that. The nice waitress made sure we were taken care, she was very attentive. What a great find! I can't wait to come back! Both our entrees were very good
My friend and I met here for lunch. First time for each of us. Inside is very clean and wonderfully decorated! The server working was super friendly, fast, and helpful without being intrusive. We arrived as they opened at 11am. There is a good amount of comfortable seating inside. The chips and salsa are complimentary and house made! The salsa is a wee bit spicy- just enough to be enjoyable, not salty, and very fresh! The cups are unsalted which I love! We both drank water. Our server was excellent at keeping our glasses filled! I had the Veracruz plate which includes grilled shrimp, zucchini, summer squash, onions, mushrooms, rice, and black beans. You can specify a corn or flour tortilla. I don't recall what my friend ordered. We haven't seen each other in a bit and we're also hungry so chatting and eating causes me to forget to photograph her meal. She said it was great! I love that they are on both DoorDash and GrubHub so I can order from them and eat at home if I want to stay in. I want to come back to try some house specials, and a margarita! This place is small and kind of uninviting from the outside, so you know what that means? Yep, some killer tacos! Hole in the wall places are the best, right? And who thought one of my favorite dishes (choripollo) could be made into a taco? Are you as suprised as me that it's not common to see that? Who doesn't love chicken and chorizo together? (Can I ask any more questions in this review?) Would I go back? Is the pope Catholic?
Authentic Mexican food with fresh ingredients. The grilled fish tacos were delicious! Loved the big margaritas with lots of variations available. Service is excellent!
Great service, cozy seats, convenient to the SNHU center. We arrived early to find a sticky table and dirty floor. We ordered a horchata which tasted like it was from a mix. The tacos borrachos were decent and they were generous with the portion. The bistec meat quality was poor. The meat was hard and dry. We left most of it over. Their chips are good but the salsa is boring. No spice!! Their "hot" house sauce, by request only, is terrible and they don't have any other hot sauces to choose from. This is a great place to go before an event. Expect the typical Mexican food adjusted for the American palate.
Food is very good. Very clean, quiet and nice atmosphere. I got the chori pollo. The chicken very well cooked and flavorful. The queso and chorizo is super good too. I recommend parking on the other side of the street and walking over, parking in Manchester is limited. The service is very good.
Came here around an hour before closing on a Friday night, it was fully packed!! Seems like a popular place and was lively. I almost wished we had eaten in but bringing it to the hotel and ordering take out was what we needed after a long day. We ordered three fully meals, a couple guacs on the side, and a few empanadas. In total it cost 70$ with a tip. The beef empanada was delicious! The food was all good, not authentic Mexican food but definitely did the trick since we were so tired and hungry. The only reason I took off a star was because I had thought the food would automatically come with chips and salsa. Was a little disappointed when we opened the box, that we did have any chips especially for the cost and tip we left. They also didn't include any silverware or napkins which was rather inconvenient as we had to hunt it down in the hotel. Overall, 3.5/5 stars
Great Mexican in downtown Manchester! Searching yelp and noticed that El Rincon featured a mole enchilada dish. I had to try it. The enchiladas were good and would have been a 5 star review but needed some more mole sauce. Luckily I had asked for additional Also ordered side of flour tortillas. Small but believe they homemade as they were delicious! I will go out of my way to stop here again when driving through Manchester. Per picture I ordered takeout.
We've now been here a multiple times, and it is consistently outstanding. The food is authentic, you couldn't get homemade family style Mexican food growing up in NH. We lived in NM a year and ate tons of Mexican, New Mexican, and Baja style foods all the time. This last time we came for Margaritas and a snack before my mom received an award across the street. The service is on point and friendly. So many restaurants have gone downhill the last 3 years, but many have excelled-great job! Another time we took my mother in law here on the way back from an airport run to pick us up. She loved the empanadas, and guacamole we do too, they also have excellent enchiladas, and the Al Pastor is delicious, and had them on nachos last time. I would say most everything is delicious. They have vegetarian options too! If you like spice be sure to ask for the house made extra spicy hot sauce.
We decided to try this place because of the reviews and from the outside, we were unsure what it would be like. However, upon entering, we were welcomed into a cozy restaurant with beautiful decor and pleasant servers. We immediately were sat down with warm chips and fresh salsa. Having heard about the spicy salsa, I asked for it and it actually packed a punch! I have a pretty high spice tolerance and never feel the heat from most restaurants' spiciest salsas, but this one very pleasantly surprised me! Highly recommend if you like spicy food. The beans and the rice were so delicious. I kept going back for more even after getting full. The enchiladas were scrumptious as well. They were so accommodating for our vegetarian diet, and it was a delight to have more than cheese in the vegetarian enchiladas. The veggies inside were fresh and crunchy. The churros were warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside and they were perfect with the chocolate. Finally, Brenda was the sweetest!! What a genuinely warm and kind person. She was so attentive, easy to talk to, and a true light. I will definitely be coming back for more.
Just went here for dinner! It's such a small restaurant but very welcoming. I got the fish tacos and my boyfriend got the shrimp tacos. Both excellent choices. The menu is vast and there is something for everyone to choose from. A great, inexpensive place to go for Mexican in Manchester. read more

Hi, fellow Manchestertonians .. this is your new taco joint. I was traveling from out of state and came across this gem. For starters, the chips and salsa are THE freshest you'll ever have. The chips smell and taste of fresh ground corn, reminiscent of corn tamales made back home. Can't even make that up! The salsa is fresh, vibrant, and has a smoky kick that you don't find in your "tex-mex" strip mall cafes. Now.. onto more important matters. The margarita I had is THE freshest I've had. I literally walked in the restaurant and the bartender was grinding down a box of limes in her juicer and delicately and intently pushing the pulp through the filter to get an extra zest into the jug of lime juice for all her orders that night. She also added a dash of oranges to give it a round citrusy flavor to complement the aged tequila quite well. I opted for an aged tequila called "Tres Generaciones" since I've never heard of it and it was amazing. I had the tacos al pastor with a side of rice and beans and everything was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, charred, and fresh. You'll be hard-pressed to find anything coming out of a can at this joint. You're welcome, Manchester. read more

Although the restaurant is smaller than what you would expect, the food and service are excellent. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. I used to prefer La Carretas but this restaurant may be my new spot for Mexican. Drink: I had the Hibiscus iced tea which was $2.50. Price was good and it was delicious. It was sweet (may be too sweet for some, but I like sweet drinks) and fruity. If you are not sure if you will like it, then try asking for a sample. Our server was very kind in providing a sample of the drink for us before having us place an order for it. Food: 1) Chips and salsa were given on the house 2) Guacomole is $4.00. A little bit on the pricier side for me but it definitely tasted good. There were chunks of avocado and it was seasoned well. 3) I love steak grandes burritos but did not see that option on the menu. Luckily, the server did not hesitate to accomadate me and gave me a steak grandes burrito and kept the price the same for $10. Definitely recommend. 4) Chicken Chimichanga for $10.00. This was their lunch special for the day. It is basically a fried burrito with chicken inside accompanied with rice and beans on the side. 5) Chicken Sopes are delicious and not bad for $8.50. They will require your fork and knife to eat but it is basically a fried tortilla layered with chicken, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I definitely recommend you try it if you have never had this before. Service: Awesome service. I haven't had good service like this in a long time. Server was kind, patient in explaining the menu, and he was willing to help you change the dishes to suit your palate. They also never let the salsa and chips run out. First time I had servers bring me a refill on salsa before I asked which is a plus. He even went above what I expected and held the door for us as we left. Also want to say good job to the kitchen staff as well because our food came out quick and was hot! Tips: After you come in to the restaurant, look to the left and you will see a sign that has the specials. They had empanadas for $2.00 as well. And try the hibiscus iced tea! read more

I'm from southern california and I take my Mexican food VERY seriously. That being said... this is easily one of the most legit Mexican restaurants I've been to and i'm surprised i found it in new hampshire of all places, haha. Their lengua (or tongue) tacos are excellent - incredibly juicy. The al pastor tacos were my favorite though. My girl got the chipotle chicken burrito which was also really good. I believe she got a mango margarita? Def one of the margaritas... which was massive and worth the price tag, she was buzzed for sure haha. If you're in the area and have yet to try authentic Mexican food then definitely head here. PS - there's an arena right next to it and so it can get very busy on weekends or if there's an event happening so plan accordingly! read more

Perfect as a quick lunch spot! Very low key, casual vibes with a mix of tables/booths and a few TVs. Tacos seemed very authentic and the green salsa was FANTASTIC. Would definitely go back to try other dishes. Also, you can't pass up the Jarrita sodas! read more

Hands down, the BEST place for authentic Mexican food in Manchester. Coming from SoCal it was difficult not finding a place with delicious carne asada nachos but this place really delivered. The aguas frescas are delicious and so comforting as they remind me of home. I have told everyone I know about this place and they all love it as well!! read more

The food was great. The service was awfully slow. I think we had like 3 different waitresses and between all of them it took forever to get a drink and we were sitting for approximately 15 minutes before we got asked anything about the menu or placing an appetizer or even our food order. The food actually came out fast once it was entered. It was very tasty. We got the chicken burrito, chicken carnitas and chicken fajitas. They all were yummy. Would go back eventually but it wasn't overall the best Mexican, I'd prob go somewhere first before I venture back here read more

THIS is the taste of Mexico! The food is amazing, the ambiance is exciting, and the staff is very friendly. I am visiting from California and wanted to get a taste of Mexican food in the East coast. To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything great. However this restaurant reminded me of what it's like to be in Mexico. The food is wonderful and worth the price. The decoratins they have remind me of my father and grandmother. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is local or visiting. A must visit in Manchester!!! read more

Without question, one of the biggest, baddest, and most flavorful burritos I've ever had. This thing is no joke! The green chile burrito is not to be missed! If you like bold, fresh flavors, huge portions, robust salsa, and a food challenge, then this is your jam. Wow, I can usually eat just about anything you put in front of me, but I met my match tonight...could not finish the green chile burrito. Loaded with carnitas, rice, beans, lettuce, and delicious green sauce, it was the perfect end to a long day. Although it's a bit pricey at $12.50, it's worth it!! read more

Must Eat: Pastel De Tres leches dessert - there are different flavors, don't forget to take a look at the transparent plastic glasses in the fridge! This is one of the authentic Mexican restaurants in Manchester. Being beside Verizon Wireless is a huge plus for their business. First order of chips+salsa is complimentary. I used to like their chips better when they were thick (each chip was equivalent to size of 5 thinner chips). The thinner chips are good too but not as tastier as the thicker ones - can't complain about something which is free though. For drinks they have Horchata(traditional Mexican rice sweet water), Jamica(traditional Mexican iced tea) and some of the Mexican local drinks like Jarritos. Horchata is very sweet and it is served in a huge glass, I wasn't able to finish it - If you don't like sweet stuff, don't order this. Jamica is pretty sweet too but the flavor of it makes you forget about the excessive sweetness. They are accommodating to modify your order. If you are a vegetarian and like something in the menu, you can just ask to prepare it vegetarian. - Make sure you ask them if the vegetarian version tastes good! I like vegetarian tostadas, burrito is humongous. Found their other options to be delicious too. There is paid parking beside the restaurant in a parking lot. It can get pretty busy on Thursday and Friday afternoons, make sure you have enough time if you are planning for lunch. (Especially if you are in the middle of your work day!) read more
El Rincon has quickly become one of my new favorite little spots downtown. I had passed by the restaurant many times without even noticing it was there due to its quaint nature. A friend recommended we check it out. The inside is very small but friendly and inviting in both the kindness of the staff and the bright decor. Decided to go here for lunch with my two coworkers. We had a long tough week at the office and needed a solid Friday lunch to finish off the week on a positive note. The place is cozy with lots of fun decorations. We were served quickly and the waitress was very nice. We started with an order of guacamole and three Jarritos, Mexican Soda, and empanadas. I had never had the fruit punch soda but it was delicious although I wish ordered the pineapple like my coworkers. I tried it and it was amazing! The guacamole was also great, made with fresh ingredients and served in a fun stone bowl. The complimentary salsa was fresh and tasty. Loved the empanadas. I had beef and it was flavorful and delicious. I wish I could eat the empanadas every day but I'd probably get pretty day. My coworker loved her chicken empanada. For a main dish I ordered the shrimp tacos. They were served on corn tortillas with cilantro and a lime and a side of Mexican rice. The shrimp was fresh which is always questionable at a new restaurant. It was flavored perfectly with Spanish spices. Both of my coworkers had a chipotle chicken burrito with beans, rice and chicken inside and a chipotle sauce on top. The burritos had a nice kick to them, and came with a light salad on the side which was just a few shards of iceberg lettuce. It was a nice garnish. The coworkers highly praised the burritos. Overall, highly reccomend this place for lunch in Manchester especially if you like Mexican. read more

My boyfriend and I were driving through the area and needed some lunch. It came up as Best Rated in Manchester, and as huge Mexican food fans we had to try it. IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! Authentic, charming atmosphere and fresh and fast food to top it off. The service we received was fantastic, which seems hard to find lately. The potions were hardy and we agreed that it was the best Mexican we have ever enjoyed. I wish I lived closer so I could go every week!!! read more

Where is the closest parking?
Your best bet is on the street. We haven't had any issue even when an event going on in area.
I have read mixed comments regarding alcohol. What do they offer? Is it BYOB? Most importantly, are there margaritas? We're going this Saturday (4/29/2017) - so information asap would be helpful. Thank you!
