I ordered the enchiladas, chicken, with the red sauce at the suggestion of our waitress. They were amazing! I ate a three of them plus all the beans and rice. Yeah, I struggled on those last few bites, but these were so flavorful! Not all covered with that fake sauce and filled with mystery meat, but just authentic flavors with the perfect balance of cheese and veg on top. Soooo good! Hubs had a chorizo burrito. Honestly, I was tempted to grab myself a forkful of that, too! Awesome lunch. Had a strawberry mojito on the side. Perfect! What a win. It doesn't look like much from the outside and it claims it's a taqueria. But there's plenty of street parking around the block (a minute walk) and it's a full on ristorante. Very wide selection of entrees, soup/stews, sides, beverages, etc. And, most importantly - autentico! After a few decades living in California and visiting Arizona and Texas, we're very acquainted with quality Mexican cuisine. El Rincon delivers. The chips are thin, crisp and light. The standard salsa is thick and mild, with the option of a small side of salsa picante to pep it if you ask. Our main dishes today were camarones vallarta and fajita with camarones. You know how sometimes you get the food and it's only warm? Not the case today -both were blazing. A super generous amount of shrimp graced each plate and my fajita wasn't just onion and pepper but deliciously broiled squash as well. The nicely (also HOT) textured corn tortillas did yeoman's work containing the shrimp, veggies, refried beans (yum!) and Mexican rice. Similar thumbs up for the camarones vallarta - a deep umami from the mushrooms and a crisp bite from the scallions. We entered hungry but ended up taking home half of each entree due to how generous a serving we received. The Jamaica was a bit sweeter than I like but my wife thought it was A+. This is a family owned Mexican restaurant which offers very authentic Mexican food with amazing decor in the heart of Manchester. Don't be deceived by the outside if this place, the staff is super attentive friendly and all covid measures are taken here. Each table has sanitizers, the staff wears masks and they sanitize between each customer. As soon as we arrived we were seated at a table and asked to lookup the menu using QR code or on the website. They have a wide selection of items from the menu and we decided to go with tostadas with spicy red sauce and enchiladas for main course and guacamole with complimentary chips and salsa. The guacamole was freshly made and was very savory. Enchiladas and tostadas were on point too and I feel like this is the best Mexican restaurant we have had dinner in on the North East coast. The real winner that made both of these absolutely delicious is the sauce that they come with. It is just a little spicy and full of flavor. Sometimes, a place just gets it right. While I came in without many expectations, I left immensely satisfied. I had just gotten out from a concert at the SHNU arena, and went walking looking for a place to eat. After bouncing around a little bit, I finally took to the Yelp-o-sphere in search of a cheap dinner near me. This place came up near the top of the list. The location is rather small, the outside isn't very flashy, and the inside is decorated with that familiar colorful flair. There was a wait that evening, but I lucked out as it was rather short. Here we come to one thing that amazed me. The service was blindingly efficient, with not a moment gone to waste. As soon as a party left a table, it was wiped down, and the next group was invited to sit. My order was also taken quick, and brought out in less than 10 minutes. Meanwhile, the servers weren't casually walking around the restaurant, but near running. Chips and salsa were not only complementary, but delicious! I doubt the chips were homemade, but with a place of this size, I'm not complaining. They were gently warmed, which is always a nice touch. The salsa was fresh, definitely homemade, just the right amount of spicy, and not acidic. Thickness and chunkiness was on point, it stayed just fine in the chip, and had a few little chunks that it is so embarrassingly fun to fish for. For food I ordered the Pastor Taco order. These tacos were as I understand it more on the traditional side. None of those fancy toppings, just the protein, onion, and cilantro. In terms of the protein, this was among the better Al Pastor I'd had! In past experiences, it was rather saccharine. This Al Pastor however not only had a gentle, delicate sweetness, but also a tanginess. Little pieces of grilled pineapple helped add this sweetness/tanginess. Meat itself was tender, and the fact that it was small pieces helped keep the tacos from falling apart. Overall, the tacos were extremely balanced, they were overloaded, but they didn't skimp on the meat either. It's a shame this place is so far from me, I'd come here again and again. All I can say now is, should I be at the SNHU arena again, I will come here again without hesitation. read more

I was not expecting much from this location. Especially, because it is a Mexican restaurant in Manchester, NH. Being Mexican from Texas and an "expert" at eating all things Mexican food I was VERY pleased with our food. My partner and I shared an appetizer on their menu called Sopes with the Chipotle Chicken and oh my goodness. The chicken was so tender and rich in flavor. The tortilla was perfectly crisp and the toppings on it complimented it. For our entree I had the Guisado Verde. However, I substituted mine for the spicy red sauce because I love spicy. By the way. It was spicy, but tolerable for spicy lovers. The pork was absolutely tender and delicious. My partner had the Torta Mexicana with beef. He mentioned how it was exactly what he expected a torta to be. The meat was well seasoned and the torta was the right amount of toasted. The service was great. Our waitress was very sweet and welcoming. The restaurant itself isn't what I would call a fancy spot. It was, however, well maintained, clean, and it had the right Latino music playing. after being out of Texas for a week we needed our TexMex fix and having extra time before pulling into the Airport we broke down and search Yelp for recommendations. We took the advice from fellow yelpers and tried this small quaint option. They didn't not disappoint. Taquitos were beautifully browned - wish I could remember to take pictures. My husband had the shrimp tacos - he said they were very good. I'm guessing they were because he forgot to offer me even a small bite. I had the pork nachos. Heads up they are plenty for 2 people. I have to give them kudos for their quality silverware. Seriously, I'm so tired have silverware at restaurants that feel like they were bought at the dollar store they are so uncomfortable. Their silverware was nice and weighty. Staff was very pleasant, attentive and efficient. I know I'm in the Northeast, but I'm missing parts of home (Mexican food!) so when I saw an article naming this restaurant as the number one Mexican spot in New Hampshire, I decided to try it out. The salsa has a lovely thickness to it but is definitely lacking in flavor. Add an assault and pepper to help, soIt was enjoyable, especially since the tortilla chips have a nice weight to them. I ordered the carnitas plate, because that is always the first meal I order at a new-to-me Mexican restaurant. The flavor is pretty accurate, and quite delightful. However, my carnitas were served to me without having been seared/crisped properly on a hot grill. Refried beans are disappointingly tasteless, and while the rice had good flavor I was disappointed to find they added corn. The Pico de Gallo tastes as though it hasn't had time to marry, which is also disappointing. (Come to think of it, that may also be the problem with the salsa - perhaps the flavors haven't married properly.) Overall, a great place to come for a taste of home, but it feels more like a hastily thrown together weeknight dinner tossed together by a mom who works two jobs, not a meal lovingly prepared by Abuela. Decided to stop by for a quick bite while in town on a business trip. Ordered the Carne Asada torta, size was good, great taste, served nice and hot! My husband ordered the tacos, 2 Al Pastor and 1 chicken, rice and beans. (We shared plates) The pastor tacos were good, the chicken a little bland and dry, rice and beans were good. Chips were a little stale, salsa more on the tomato side not spicy at all. Was going to order an Horchata but forgot, table next to us ordered several and it looked great. Awesome Mexican food! Probably the best I have had anywhere. And the Margaritas are just as awesome. Quite a selection of specialty 'Rita's and a first class Tequila Mezcal bar. The Queso is top notch, especially with Chorizo added. The empanadas are delicious, fluffy and filled. The enchiladas are very good, with your choice of verde or rojo sauces (I like the verde usually more than red sauce), and they come with freshly grated Queso Fresco and sliced fresh avocados.
