Best burrito I've had in a while! Reasonably priced, good portions, and great seasoning!

We have been eating here a few times a week, always getting the asada tacos well done. I love their handmade tortillas and finely chopped and nicely salted carne asada. There is almost never chewy fat or gristle in the meat and I love the char from the well done asada. I like their smoky red salsa a lot. Everyone that works there is super nice to us. This place was awesome, had me in the first half, there was absolutely nobody in the restaurant, the menu had no prices, and me and my family were skeptical at first because the food was taking a while, the lady seemed like she could have been nice but I know English isn't her first language and they were about to close. After around 10 minutes the food started coming out and these ladies proceeded to serve us the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. It seriously reminded me of my mothers cooking, the salsa was so so good, green one was just enough spice and perfect flavor and they left us a red sauce that was for the tolerant spicy eaters that I loved, their asada and chorizo were top notch. I wish I lived out here so I could come to this place more but I will definitely stop by again when I get the chance. read more

The Mexican chips, bread and drinks by the counter further confirmed that this place was going to be good. My daughter got an asada taco and a side of rice. My husband got a small menudo and torta. A place I'll definitely keep coming back to The first time I visited, I ordered the menudo and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was full of flavor, with just the right amount of spice, and the hominy was perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and tasty -- everything felt homemade and prepared with care. I had it with a glass of horchata, which was cold, smooth, and had that perfect hint of cinnamon. Super refreshing. A few days later, I came back craving something different and went for a quesadilla campechana. Great choice! The tortilla was nicely toasted, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the combination of carne asada and chorizo was packed with flavor. Every bite hit the spot. On both visits, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They treated me with such warmth and made me feel right at home. You can really tell they care about their customers. HOMEMADE TORTILLAS!!! I could hear the masa being pounded from the kitchen as I walked in the door. Friendly service, was greeted verbally and with a smile. I started out with the asada taco plate. Asada is my barometer of a new taco spot, because it's my least favorite carne for tacos (don't get me wrong, steak is number one meat in my book, but this is taco fillings not a steak house) and because it's the most gringoey thing I can order. But let's face it, bad taco meat is like bad sex, better than no tacos at all. The asada was seasoned well, tender and cut finely enough that it made for a delicious taco without excessive chewing. Beans were good ratio of whole to smashed and a perfect balance of fat to fart ratio, they were delicious. Rice was nothing noteworthy, but I'm practically carnivorous so I've never been a fan of it; wasn't over oily like some I've had, it was lightly seasoned and fluffy, good to dip a fork full of beans and cheese into. Salsas were on point, muy deliciouso; couldn't decide which I liked better, will have to try again. Food was good enough so I decided to have a second supper after my drive home. Ordered a couple lengua and cabeza tacos to-go and couldn't have been happier. Onions and cilantro served on the side so no mushy tortillas by the time I got home. Meats were so lucious and tender, especially the cabeza; an unguent treat for my overused flavor palette. My only suggestion is to make the menu easier for the customer (please post prices, this isn't rich people dining) and to clearly post the dessert menu (they were listed on a little spot behind the chips stand near the register and absolutely invisible while ordering). First time here, was recommended by a friend. Ordered two burritos. Pretty disappointed. I give it 2.5 stars out of 5. Due to the burrito looking like a taco. Had no meat, a lot of rice and beans instead. Nothing wrong with that but I want meat. I wish it had more flavor. I wish they had more sides like radish, onions and cilantro. Also some chiles. This place is sooooo freaking good. Like the reason this place makes good food needs to be studied because no one else on this Earth can make food even half as great as the food they make here. Their fries are so golden, crispy and fluffy all at the same time. The fries look like the fries they show in the movies. Their fries make McDonald's fries look like child's play. Their al pastor torta is so good and fresh. Bringing back memories of when my mom used to make tortas for me as a kid. Better than Daniel's Tacos.
