Finally got the chance to try this place and I thought it was okay. I got the 4 cut roll + sashimi box, and my favorite part of the whole box was the yellowtail sashimi. All the rolls are pretty basic but the spicy salmon was my favorite of them all. I do love how it comes packaged in sushi box. All the sauces and labeled and were a yummy my addition to the rolls. I also had my eye on the hand roll kit, I'm definitely gonna have to try that next time.

My sister really wanted to try this place out for awhile and she brought my boyfriend and I. We all ordered different rolls. I ordered the three hand roll set, my bf ordered the four and my sister ordered the 6. All of it had a really good price and was pretty filling! My favorite was the ceviche appetizer which had a ceviche taste with a mix of raw fish and tbh it was soooo good I kept dipping everything in the remaining sauce. The service was quick and amazing! Everyone was really nice and quick! We all enjoyed our food and got appetizers as well! The vibe inside was really nice and they give you 45 mins to order and eat which was enough time if I'm being honest! I would definitely come back!

Stopped by for lunch and left impressed and full. Lunch time there was no wait, they do have a waitlist for the busy time. It's counter seating and the staff work as a team, very efficient and streamlined. Menu is QR code and focus on hand rolls. Really good attentive service. The rolls are all made to order and delivered immediately to once made. The fish is fresh and the rice and nori or soy paper great as well. The apps were all tasty as well, tried cucumber salad, green beans and shrimp tempura all quickly made fresh and delicious. I tried the eel, lobster, snow crab, and tuna hand rolls and it was delicious. This is definitely one of my new favorites in the area, the prices were also great imo for the quality for food you get. Totally recommend and will definitely be back.

Excellent attentive service and efficient.Great place for lunch or if you're in the mood for hand rolls.Looks like a great selection of sakes and drinks to compliment the handrolls.Loved the hojicha tea.

Ordered Yunomi Handroll off of Postmates for a late dinner tonight and opted for the 5 cut roll box which came with tuna, albacore, salmon, yellowtail, and shrimp tempura (4 pieces each) along with some cucumber and seaweed salads and edamame for $27. I thought the price was very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. The packaging was well-designed and I enjoyed the salads, especially the sunomono. The edamame was unsalted (would have preferred salted) and was a bit overcooked. I was also disappointed that they didn't give real wasabi although for the price I suppose I'm not surprised. The rolls were all a good ratio of fish to rice and you even have the choice of soy paper wrapped instead of seaweed if you so choose. I think I would have liked it if you got the choice of rolls as it would have been nice to get one or two with avocado. Overall it was a good delivery experience and I would order again. Certainly compares to Sugarfish etc at a lower price point.

Was impressed! First the decor and esthetic is beautiful here, and has a large bar seating so recommend to go in a small group or a solo date! The set menus are a good variety and you can make some minor substitutions if you'd like. They also have the option of seafood wrapper or the white soy paper with sesame seeds. And you can choose spicy or not spicy. Rolls were timed pretty well and the staff were all very friendly! I thought all the fish was flavored well and of quality. For apps, those shishito peppers really got a kick!!

Wow this was such a great place that I want to go back already and I was just there. Piece of advice, join the waitlist beforehand because it can get pretty busy. Place is small and it's only bar seating. Menu is not that big either, mostly hand rolls but they also have some appetizers. The albacore crispy rice Is a must, Hand rolls are made in front of you and the seaweed was fresh, crispy and the seafood was all fresh and tasted great. My favorite was the soft shell crab and blue crab roll. Prices are also decent, not bad for a sushi place at all.

One of the best Handroll places we've been to. The service was great, the food was very fresh and flavorful. We really enjoyed our dinner and can't wait to be back.

We come here at least once a week since it is practically down the street from us! One of my fav handroll spots in LA! First come first serve so towards dinner time it gets a little busier. You can add your name on their yelp waitlist which is nice but we usually hit this spot for lunch to skip the crowds! Inside is sushi bar style with high seats. Super simple interior. Their fish is always super fresh and I love the rolls being made right in front of you! Our go to for starters are the albacore crunch and the shrimp tempura. It has the perfect amount of sauce. Not drowning! Love the amount of onion crunchies they give on the albacore dish too!! My personal favorite handroll is the back crab handroll and I get light rice on recommended soy paper. So good! Big fan of their spicy tuna handroll as well!

Yunomi is a solid spot, but parking is definitely a bit challenging. There's no dedicated parking that I noticed, so I ended up parking in the nearby residential area. Luckily, the walk through the neighborhood was pleasant, so I didn't mind too much, but I can't imagine trying to find parking here on a busy weekend. The restaurant itself is relatively spacious, with one large counter in the center where you sit and order your hand rolls. I came for a late lunch, and it wasn't busy at all, so I was seated right away. I ordered the set of six hand rolls. The ones I enjoyed the most were the scallop, shrimp tempura, and salmon. The rest were fine, but didn't really stand out to me. I'll admit I might be a bit biased--my personal favorite hand roll spot is ROL which is farther away. I do think Yunomi offers better value for the price. The customer service was great, friendly and efficient. My water was refilled consistently, and when I asked for the check, it was brought out quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a good place to stop by if you're in the area and craving hand rolls. That said, I do think there are better hand roll spots out there.

I went to this sushi restaurant and, unfortunately, the lady at the front desk did not seem suited for a customer-facing role. She never smiled once and had a very unpleasant attitude ,not only toward customers, but also toward a lady simply asking about her pickup order. There was absolutely no sense of customer service. We were actually waiting in line but decided to leave because of her attitude. A welcoming smile and basic kindness can make such a big difference in a dining experience. We are your customers .sometimes, a simple smile goes a long way. Sadly, this experience was very disappointing

Yunomi is a solid spot, not my favorite hand roll place, but still a good option overall. Convenient location, friendly service, and I really like the bar design. The Sonomono and albacore sashimi crispy rice were both solid. I wasn't the biggest fan of the yellowtail Serrano sashimi, not bad, just not something I'd order again. The handrolls were good for the most part, though the Yunomi special was a miss for me, the shrimp tempura overpowered everything else, and you could tell the oil it was fried in needed changing. I also wish the menu had more hand roll options and a bit more variety overall. I'd come back for convenience, but it wouldn't be my first (or second) choice for hand rolls.

Yunomi Toluca Lake gets an easy 5 stars from me--same level as their Arts District spot, just way more convenient now that it's closer to home. I'm here almost every week. This is one of the few places I'll go solo, sit at the bar, eat, and be out in under 20 minutes. I've literally done full dinners right before closing and never felt rushed. Food comes out fast, staff is on it, and the whole place just runs smoothly. Honestly wish more spots operated like this. The ambiance is a big part of why I keep coming back. It's only bar seating, which I actually love--you naturally interact with the staff, who are always down to chat or just let you enjoy your meal, whatever you're feeling. I've ended up talking to other customers so many times just sitting next to them. The open bar concept makes it feel like a shared table with the chefs and full staff--it's super community-oriented and just a good vibe overall. My go-to order never changes: shrimp tempura, albacore sashimi with onions, edamame, and then hand rolls--lobster, spicy tuna with tempura, baked crab (soy paper), spicy shrimp, and the Yunomi. If I'm extra hungry, I double up on the Yunomi and lobster. Those are my top two. Only thing I'd tweak--give more ginger and wasabi. It's the only small portion thing here, everything else is generous which I love. Just charge a bit more and give a bigger plate so we don't have to keep asking. Also--if you drink, try the premium Japanese import KoshiHikari Echigo Beer. It's amazing. Easy 4-5 in one sitting. Pro tip: they have a waitlist on Yelp, so throw your name on there before heading over--it saves time. Always coming back. 5 stars, honestly would give it 10.

The standout was the Spicy Shrimp Wontons, which featured delicate, silky, the shrimp filling was perfectly seasoned, and the spicy chili sauce had just the right balance of heat, umami, and a subtle hint of sweetness, making each bite addictive. They were so good that I immediately ordered another serving to go. Honestly, I preferred these over Din Tai Fung's. The OG Ramen was deeply comforting and satisfying, with a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that held up well from start to finish. We also tried the takoyaki, which had a lightly crisp exterior, a soft, creamy center, and plenty of savory flavor, finished with classic toppings like bonito flakes, mayonnaise, and takoyaki sauce, tying all flavors together. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire experience. If you're looking for a hidden gem that offers high-quality food and complex flavors that will keep you returning, this place is definitely worth exploring.

Seated in a rather interesting part of North Hollywood, the summer heat did not deter us from eating here, as the smell immediately brought my worries elsewhere. A vast majority of the food here was fantastic, and the only reason I was going to opt for 4 stars was the takoyaki had quite a tiny portion in the actual dough ball- despite the actual breading so soft and fluffy, it was like the most delightfully extravagant packaging for something that was a bit of a let down. Though, much to the credit of our waiter she understood and offered to swap it out for another appetizer, which probably deserves the vast majority of the praise here. The vegetarian dumplings we ordered were legitmately some of the best dumplings I've had period. From the vegan mayo to the best gentle heat I've ever had the experience I've eating. Just hot enough for a brief moment with delightful heat throughout. The chicken skewers we had and the calamari were solid and with a perfectly paired Thai Iced Tea, I only hope to visit again and drown in dumplings. Cheers!

We ate here last night, and shortly after I started vomiting and dealing with diarrhea throughout the entire night. It was one of the worst reactions I've had after eating out. What's even more frustrating is that I tried calling the restaurant afterward to notify them and discuss the situation, but I couldn't get ahold of anyone even after leaving a voicemail. I understand things can happen, but food safety should be taken seriously, and the lack of response afterward made the situation even worse. Very disappointed after what had previously been good experiences here.

Making a reservation was very easy, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The restaurant is a bit dimly lit, but it really adds to the cozy and upscale atmosphere. One thing I immediately noticed was how clean all of the grills were. We chose the AYCE option (around $55 per person), and the pricing for kids was very reasonable. Our 5-year-old was charged a reduced rate, while our 3-year-old ate free, which was a nice bonus for families. The selection of meats was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. They do have a 90-minute dining limit and a surcharge for excessive leftovers, but that wasn't an issue for us because everything was delicious. The appetizer selection was surprisingly large. We enjoyed the beef fried rice, noodles, a sushi roll, crispy tofu, chicken karaage, and shiitake mushrooms. The crispy tofu turned out to be spicier than we expected, so just keep that in mind if ordering for kids. However, spice lovers will probably enjoy it! The chicken karaage was a huge hit with the kids, especially with the spicy mayo on the side. The shiitake mushrooms were also incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned. We also ordered crispy rice spicy tuna, we loved it too! What really stood out was the service. Every server we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Instead of simply dropping off food and walking away, they took time to check in, ask how we were doing, and connect with us. That personal touch made the experience feel special. We only ordered water since we had already had plenty of drinks earlier in the day, but they offer a variety of beverages as well. For dessert, we tried the mochi ice cream special--two for $5--which was a fantastic deal. In San Diego, it's common to pay around $5 for just one mochi ice cream, so we were pleasantly surprised. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy we chose Oku-Niku for my birthday celebration. Great food, excellent service, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!
