    Taco Salad
    Lillian H.

I haven't been to this place in years, and I hoped it would be as good as I remembered it. And it was! The food servings were huge and everything was extremely tasty! If you're wondering why I did not give a higher score, it's because the decor needed to be upgraded. The tables and seating have not changed and you could tell. The booth chairs were very worn out and the tables needs to be refreshed or replaced too. The carpets were stained and frayed in some areas. It really needs a fresh coat of paint to elevate it to how good the food is. Again... I can not stress enough, the food is yummy, and the restaurant is very clean. It just needs a little TLC.

    Margs plus queso and pico

We came by for an early dinner before the Pacers game and sat on the patio. The weather was perfect and there are about 6-8 tablespoons of out there. Dogs are not allowed btw. We started off with queso, pico, and a couple of margaritas. The margs were okay, a little water down tasting even before the ice melted. We ordered the T-bone steak with guac salad and the burrito preferido. The food here is phenomenal, really authentic and flavorful. And the quality for the price is unbeatable. We will definitely be coming back here again. I only gave 3 stars because the service was not the best. After the food came out we did not see our server again until she brought the check. She never asked us if we needed anything (we really needed some water and napkins) or how the food was. I'm sure if we sat inside it would be better service. Again, we will definitely try again soon.

El Rodeo has been a west side favorite for many years. I stopped in to grab a bite to eat with a friend. There is plenty of parking outside and plenty of seating inside. We sat near the bar area and were greeted quickly. Inside, the decor is bright and the seating is somewhat tight in the front, but spread out in the back. I ordered a peach daiquiri and a carne asada plate which came with rice and beans. The meat was flavorful and tender. The beans and rice were good, but average. The daiquiri was perfect! I will definitely return!

We came in on National Margarita Day on accident, but still had excellent service. loved the salsa and rice and beans. I wouldn't get the tacos de chorizo again, i thought they were pretty bland and not spicy. My boyfriend got a burrito loco and i did really enjoy the bite of his I had. excited to have a margarita next time!

Food is good. I had the burrito camarone. Perfect lunch dish. The salsa is spicy and great on dishes and on chips. Our server was very nice. The dining room is pretty much what you would expect. Clean

This place has the best Mexican that I've had in a long time. It was so refreshing and tasty. This location is kind of far from where I live but I was in the area for work. So I stopped here for lunch with my coworkers. We were greeted by a gentleman right when we Entered. He also sat us in a very roomy dining room(it was 4 of us). He also took our order and had our food within 10 minutes. I was also surprised they had SWEET TEA! My favorite.I was very pleased and might just drive 25 minutes to have this meal again. So yummy.

Let's just say this is my second time going to this place in a week and the first time I forgot to take pictures The food is a really delicious here. I wasn't able to get a drink this time but I've been to this by several times. I've just never left a review. It's a place that you should definitely try and the food is just good and services. Good overall 10 out of 5.

I haven't been here in years, and had forgotten how good it is! It's nice to be at Mexican restaurant with slightly different menu choices! My shrimp dish was kind of grilled shrimp with onions and it was awesome! It came with beans and rice, and. One of the best Mexican salads I've had! It included actual avocado slices AND jalapenos! Deborah had a chimi which said said was fantastic. The restaurant was super clean and the service was perfect! This place gets a 2-Thumbs up and we'll be back!

Lime margarita, 1942 shot & chips and salsa.

We went here for a quick drink. The bar is being remodeled and it looks great. The original margarita's on the rock's are amazing. They are not to sugary or sour, it's the perfect combination of all ingredients. We also had a shot of 1942 Don Julio...I was impressed and feel like this is the only shot I should have going forward. Good times, good cocktail, amazing shot with chips and salsa.

    Flan was good

El Rodeo is a large Mexican restaurant chain located throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas. This Speedway location currently has construction all around them but they are still open. Note the new median in front of the restaurant while driving. Parking is ample on all three sides of the building. The interior hasn't changed much over the years but you will find plentiful seating of booths and tables. The Governer's Ordinance does require they reduce seating to 50% so you may find a wait during prime time. I was greeted as soon as I entered and taken directly to a booth. The restaurant has several dining areas in the front as you enter and two rooms to your left. They have reduced their seating to 50% so several tables and booths are closed. Once the Ordiance is lifted they can handle large groups. Currently they can only seat 6 per table. My server was prompt, delivered chips and salsa, took my drink order and returned quickly. I ordered the Hot and Spicy Burrito and a Flan for dessert. My lunch arrived within minutes and the burrito was hot with a beautiful presentation. The large Burrito was stuffed with chicken, steak, beans, rice, then covered with shredded beef, cheese, salsa ranchero and sour cream. The meat was cut bite size and tender and I enjoyed the blending of all the flavors. I would definitely order again. The Flan was fresh, a creamy textured and served with a nice portion of sauce. The menu offers all your traditional appetizers and entrees from a large platter of nachos, delicious soups, large entree salads, several street tacos and stuffed quesadillas. The fajitas are popular, many chicken options, steaks come in all forms, fresh seafood and tender pork entrees all offered with El Rodeo's special touch. A few of my favorites are the Azteca Soup which is a tomato base soup filled with chicken, rice, tortilla chips, sour cream and avocado. A delicious soup regardless of weather and makes a wonderful meal or appetizer. From the chicken entrees the Pollo Monterrey is my favorite. The marinated chicken is grilled and topped with sauteed tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers. They then top it off with scrumptious melted Monterrey Jack cheese. Includes rice, beans and 3 tortillas. The Hot and Spicy Burrito (as mentioned above), is on the fav list. I have other favorites but for the sake of lengthy reading I'll stop here. Don't overlook the desserts. The Flan is always good or the new Triple Berry Rustic Tart plus the Cheesecake Chimichanga are just a few suggestions. I don't support a lot of chain restaurants but I do pop in El Rodeo a few times a year since it's only 5 minutes from home. Good food and service, great variety plus food is delivered super fast. If you're in the area stop in and see what you think.

Food is pretty average. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress disappeared on us. We had to keep finding someone to help us

Rice and beans seem to be pretty small portions. The lunch service isn't the fastest either.

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.
