Have eaten here a number of times and find the food to be consistently good ...similar in taste to other restaurants in this local chain. Service on this visit was snappy - prices still seem reasonable. The atmosphere at this location isn't quite as intimate as other locations (this is a relatively 'open' floorplan), but there are some booths ringing the perimeter. Ordered delivery. Food was cold by the time it arrived (they're 1 mile down the road.) The 3 Beef Tacos - Hard were soggy and lacked seasoning. I ate it using tortilla chips and a fork. I was glad I ordered extra salsa as it was the only saving grace taste-wise. I added it to the refried beans and the Taquitos Mexicanos as well for flavoring. This place absolutely surprised us, not only was the salsa amazing seasoned and good, the food and drinks were also good. We usually always have food left over and have to get a to go box but we ended up eating everything. The margarita flight was great even though it's frozen you can taste the flavors. Don't believe you can change the flavors they automatically come mango, regular and strawberry. The strawberry margarita sangria was a good light drink. Our server was amazing, he made the experience better with other recommendations for us to try next time. Definitely will be going back at least to the High St location. read more

Disappointed. The same restaurant on the Carlisle Pike near Kohl's, Best Buy, etc. is MUCH better. I ordered my usual chicken taco salad and it was so small I almost missed it. The fresh tortilla bowl is usually filled to the top, this one was barely halfway, and the bowl itself was limp and soggy. Nothing like the nice crisp bowl at the other location. The ambiance is good with a nicely decorated seating area and a bar with televisions (if you want to see football - and NOT the American football variety). The chips and salsa was good, and having a full bar serving tasty margaritas is a huge plus. While not the best I have ever had, the chicken taco salad was pretty good as well. I was excited to try out El Rodeos new location in Carlisle, though I never visited their old location so I cannot compare. We went on Corvette show weekend and were surprised that it was not very crowded at 6:30. As expected, we were seated quickly and provided with a small basket of broken chips and salsa. The food was pretty standard Mexican fare, wait staff pretty unimpressive (didn't know half of the menu). What surprised me was when we received the bill we had been charged $3.89 for a second small basket of chips. That's after we spent around $30 on drinks. Come on, give us some chips! Not impressed. This is an update of my previous review. In the virus age, I happened to be in town during the lunch hour and wanted to visit becasue I had a taste for Mexican food. As I drove in, I saw an outside tent, and many signs saying that the restaurant is offering inside and outside dining. I thought great! I walked to the door, and it was locked! No one was around, although thre were a couple of cars in the parking lot. I drove by again about an hour later, and stopped at the traffic light, saw another car drive up, and find the door closed. And refuse to take order at door say you have to call to order or go on inter to order I am sorry but if you have someone standing at the door to order and you refuse to take that order you don't need my business and will never get my business every again. The food costs way more than it should but I guess they have a captive audience being the only game in town so it's "like it or leave it" with this place. She ordered a combination dinner a chalupa , a Chile relleno, and a burrito. She wanted Mexican rice one of her favorites and ordered a side order. The food came out and she immediately tried the Mexican rice and it was cold??? I also had Mexican rice and I tried it and it was cold as well. Being from the southwest my standard for authentic mexican food is above the average person, it also means I love mexican food and any time I move away from Phoenix I spend my time searching out a place to "fix" my craving for it. My wife and I stopped in here and gave it a shot, I got a trio which consisted of an enchilada, tostada, and burrito. The enchilada came out completely water logged and falling apart, I couldn't even tell the difference between the burrito and enchilada other than the red sauce, which had no flavor, the food is very bland, the best part was the retried beans which actually weren't bad.
