Curtido 100/10 Again, perfectly seasoned. It's Not watered down and has the perfect amount of vinegar that adds just the right kick when you eat it with the pupusas. Agua de fruta and Horchatas 100/10 Honestly, the cooks just got the right sazón all around. Plantains are always juicy and cooked right so 100/10 Overall, this whole joint is the best in Sunnyvale. Ambience is typically always busy, and filled with a homey family vibes, which makes sense as to why the food feels so whole and filling. Service is always kind and attentive. Recently ordered delivery from here since I love pupusas! I ordered 3 of them: bean and cheese, bean cheese and pork and a jalepeno cheese. They are a good size for the price. The jalapeño cheese lacked flavor, but the others were yummy. I also ordered the garlic shrimp, which came with rice when beans. The beans were good. Texture of the rice was good, but lacked flavor and the garlic shrimp was good. I wish they would give a little more shrimp given the price, but was overall a good meal. read more

Food: Pupusas were tasty! I got the loroco/cheese, which tasted good. I wish there were a little less cheese and more loroco but it was still really good. The crudito that comes with it is amazing and definitely stand out as top notch! It has the right amount of vinegar and some spices (not spicy hot). Pupusas price was very reasonable. We also shared the Salvadorian chicken soup. I wasn't sure what to do here but we basically put the chicken in the soup with all the sauce and limes and rice. It tasted good, and with all the sauce was definitely a little spicy but had the right amount for me. The handmade tortillas on the side were a bit thicker than I would have liked. Generally could have done without the tortillas although appreciate the homemade effort. Overall I liked the dish but it was a bit pricey at $20 but it did come with a lot of components so I can understand the price. The agua fresca (or they call it agua de fruta) was amazing! Definitely get this! The menu is pretty extensive and I think they might benefit from specializing, since I saw amazing components but it felt like they were trying to do too much and not all of it had the same bar. Service: it was good! The person who took our order did explain the soup came with a plate so that was helpful. Food came out pretty quickly. Ambiance: this definitely feels like you stepped into another country and that's great. Can't comment on whether it's authentic but I enjoyed the experience of feeling like I wasn't in the US. It's a little noisy inside, but felt surprisingly calm for being off a busy intersection. We'll definitely be back for the pupusas and agua de fruta! Checked this place out for their pupusas a couple of times so far while walking around the neighborhood with my boyfriend and tried their jalapeno, loroco/cheese, revueltas, beef, and pork pupusas. Compared to the place I usually go to, this has a much thinner, floppier dough with a good amount of filling, especially for the cheese filled options. The curtido that comes with it needs more vinegar and oregano, but it was still refreshing with the greasiness of the pupusas. I will say that the salsa that comes with the order is amazing as are their refried beans and rice. I can definitely see this being a regular spot and I look forward to trying the rest of their menu items. When you see El Salvadoran food, the first thing you think of is Papusas. We went to try them. I'll tell you that it didn't disappoint. On the menu is also Mexican food. This makes sense, you need to know your target market. There is parking in the back. We walked to the front to be met with a metal door. We were lost for a second and decided to push the metal door. The place is an older place, and it seems very popular with the local people as it got busy. The papusas were delicious, I loved the crispy crust and the tender fillings. I also got the nachos. My husband and I are pupusa fans and finally visited this location for dinner. The restaurant is in an area that is difficult to park (little to no street parking), and a very tiny lot in the back we had to back-track around to turn into. When we arrived, it wasn't busy, so we ordered our Reveltas pupusas, a drink and waited. The restaurant is very clean, and 2-3 ladies are quite busy cooking, taking orders, etc. When our order arrived, we could not believe the GENEROUS fillings inside the pupusas: some of the fattest we have ever ordered. We were NOT fans of their curtido, which was not very sour/fermented, was orange colored (from the peppers???). Their style is super chunky; big chunks of green/orange/yellow peppers, and we didn't care for it at all. They give you a small cup of Curtido and you need to ask for more; as we had 4 pupusas and the cup wasn't enough. The place is very clean and humble: the food is 'ok'...not a 5 star. read more

I was working a job site not too far from this restaurant. I saw they had papusas and wanted to give them a try. I ordered 2 of their pork, beans and cheese papusas, one carne asada taco and one carnitas taco. I had to wait around 15 minutes. I learned from the owner that the Papusas are made to order, hence the wait. That's a good thing. I received my order. I tried out the tacos first. The carnitas was just okay. The carne asada was just okay. The tortillas were way over cooked on the flat top and therefor were not moist. The tacos lacked a "pop" appeal, even with the fresh lime squeezed over them. I tried the papusas. They were pretty good. Not the best ones in the area, but not bad either. There did not seem to be a salsa bar at this place. I could not readily find any salsa to kick up my tacos. I give this place 3 stars for my dead taco's and lack of salsa bar. If I was in the area and wanted papusas I might stop here. I would not go out of my way to come here. I would not order tacos here. The restaurant interior is plane jane and clean. It's a papusa joint. After growing up around this area for my whole life, I've never been to this restaurant. The pupusa part of the restaurant is fairly new since I never seen it advertised until a couple months ago. Driving by and seeing "pupusas" advertised was my cue to come check it out. I brought my friend here to check it out. We were impressed by the variety of pupusas they have available. My all time favorite was loroco and cheese, soo bomb! Plus these pupusas are huge compared to one's I've had in the past! My picture attached is my pupusa being reheated on my comal. The worker gave me extra sauce and curtido, my favorite!! Wait time was about 20 minutes or so since they make the dough from scratch, I've waited longer elsewhere! Oh man I use to come here all the time with my family years ago. They definitely upgraded the place since the last time iv been here. I ordered three carne asada tacos with a side of rice and beans. My son wanted a carne asada quesadilla. They have two different kinds of horchata! They have the Mexican horchata which is usually the one I always get. Then they have the Salvadoran horchata. I have never tasted Salvadoran until today. It was good! For me it tasted more like coffee and cinnamon lol but it was still very delicious. The tacos were so good! I love that they come loaded with meat. I love their salsa verde, I love drenching my tacos with it. My son really enjoyed his quesadilla. They give you all the Condiments on the side when you order take out.
