My favorite dish of the night was the Spicy Handroll Dip. It's the one item I look forward to every visit and I'd recommend it to anyone dining here. The Hamachi Poke with goat butter was another standout and remains one of the most unique and memorable dishes on the menu. The salmon was good, but so many of the other dishes were so creative and elevated that it ended up being overshadowed. That's more of a testament to how strong the rest of the menu is. They had unfortunately run out of the goat empanadas, so we ordered the vegetable empanadas instead. To our surprise, they were just as good. The buttery aroma coming off the puff pastry when they hit the table was absolutely mouthwatering, and the flavor lived up to the smell. One question for Valley Goat though: why was the tempura nori replaced with crackers for the Spicy Handroll Dip? The dip is still amazing, but the tempura nori chips took it to another level. The crunch and texture paired perfectly with the dip, and I'd love to see it make a comeback. The atmosphere was lively, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Jake for taking such great care of us all night. He was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening memorable.
