Great service! Delicious food! Calm, yet energetic atmosphere. Just right. I ended up ordering the 2 combination meal for dinner with shredded beef tostada and Chile Colorado enchilada. Let me tell you--I'm afraid to order the Chile Colorado anywhere else, because I'm sure it won't be as good as this!!! The shredded beef was very tender and flavorful. Kids loved their food. They added a few toppings to the Jr Nachos for my son. My husband ordered the veggie burrito, and wow! Not his usual orders but it was impressive and delicious. Cute little hole-in-the-wall family restaurant; was very surprised how packed the place was on a Thursday nite before 5:30pm! Then realized the majority of the customers were over 50 years of age. The staff was very friendly - great service. Overall, the food was fine. I had the Nuevo Ole (the charbroiled skirt steak was tender with a nice char on it, did not care for the Chicken Verde enchilada - sauce was too sour/bitter for me - but the prawns sauteed with mushrooms in garlic butter were excellent!); came with rice & refried beans & I chose flour tortillas. I was really wanting a Chile Relleno, however, was disappointed to learn that they make them in the omelette style instead of in the traditional style. I can make the omelette style at home. We came in 15 minutes before closing and unlike most restaurants that would be unhappy about that, we were greeted warmly. We never felt rushed even after they had closed. I have been coming here since 2009 when I moved to the area and over the next 9 years I have not found a better Mexican restaurant in Spokane. The staff is all family and the cozy atmosphere is great. I really like how all the food comes out hot and fresh and it is not one of those chain places where everything tastes the same. I normally get the trio fajitas and I clean my plates every time. Nothing can beat an ice cold corona and sizzling hot fajitas. The only Mexican restaurant I recommend in the spokane area. read more

Love this little mom and pop Mexican place in the valley! It's so close to where I live and a great place for your usual Mexican fair. It's not very big.. and the decor is average but clean. The service is Great! Run by a family...they are super nice...attentive and make you feel right at home. The food is just as good (my husband likes it better) as you would get at Azteca or any other Mexican restaurant in the Valley. They offer 3 types of salsa with your chips...a mild, spicy and a cabbage one. We love the spicy. I have tried a lot of different things on their menu but keep going back for their special plates with the carne asada, verde enchilada and shrimp and mushroom. Their verse sauce is so delicious!! They usually keep their flavors pretty mild but are more than happy to spice it up for you if you ask....which I always do. My husband gets the nachos or fajitas and loves it every time. Everything is fresh and delicious and I always end up with a to-go box as their portions are generous. If you're looking for your basic Mexican favorites....I would definitely recommend going here instead of the bigger chain restaurants to support a local family run business.
