The food looks good, but looks can be deceiving. In this case, it is deceiving. We spent 68 dollars for three people, but it was definitely NOT worth it! I was driving thru town on my way to Dallas, and I just wanted to try the flavors of Odessa. This is how our visit went. First, the waitress was not friendly at all. Never smiled and only attended us once. Second, the natural fruit waters were 5 dollars each. It was too expensive for this small town of Odessa. Third, the food was disgusting. My enchiladas had no flavor and no spice and way too much damn cheese. The chile Verde was too texmex. It had way too much cumin, and whoever made thar sauce added too much flour. Listen, I'm an amateur chef and a foodie. I cook very well, so if I go to your establishment to spend that much money, it better be way better than mine! Another greedy restaurant trying to steal from the customers pocket every chance they get. First of all if you pay with the credit card or debit card you will be charged a fee. Secondly, you will be charged a service fee just for walking into the restaurant. Lastly the menu prices are wrong. Everything is upcharged $3-$4. We decided to come back today and the food came outtaxo shells were tough like trying to bite through leather. Fantastic service, a couple co workers and I came in right after work at about 9:30 on a Tuesday not knowing they closed at 10:00. We asked if it was too late to be seated and with a smile said they could take us. Service was so bad the bartender talked to her boss in Spanish about me and my boyfriend coming in 50 minutes before they close and how that was a huge problem for her. First time here and I had a positive experience. First thing is first. They insisted on a mask and even took your temperature. Some of the seating even had the plexi glass up. I appreciated this with covid right now. They had many servers so we didn't have to wait on much. Food was not to pricey but not cheap either. Was not authentic in my opinion. More like tex-mex. But was yummy I had the barbacoa plate came with beans n rice. I have no complaints. Plates were more than full. The restaurant was clean servers were pleasant. It was a good time. Okay before I began I do want to acknowledge that the food is very good! However, the bill was an entirely different thing. My god! Who runs this place.. ?? I can see why this place was empty! On the menu what you get with the meal is actually not included in the price. They also charge you tip and sevice charge which is actually double tip and tax you on both!!! If you use a cc they charge you. The sales tax is also incorrect. Who's doing this places taxes?? Shady.. never again. I do not recommend this place. A $30 tip on a $70 bill is not ok. read more

Wife ordered a "Ginnas combo" and I got the chicken fry smothered with queso and a long green Chile! 2nd visit: tried a cheeseburger torta, not bad at all but prefer the chicken fry! On a brighter note, the queso con carne was excellent! The service was on the slower side, granted it was Sunday at 1:00PM. We were visiting family and my brother suggested this restaurant, so I reviewed the yelp reviews and was a bit hesitant because of the bad reviews. So when we arrived at the parking lot, it was packed and there appeared to be a waiting line, but when I asked how long was the wait, they said 15 minutes, so we decided to wait, but we got called in less than 5 minutes! Then we ordered drinks and my margarita was excellent and the pina colada was to die for. The guys enjoyed their michelada beers, they also said they were great! Then we placed our order of Tripita tacos and red enchiladas plate and ham and cheese torta with fries. Well, the Tripitas were cooked perfectly (extra crispy) and the red enchiladas were also delicious along with the rice that tasted delicious and was fluffy. The torta was awesome! The bread was very soft and had a toasted taste of butter and was very flavorful, it had a lot of ham and cheese, the lettuce and tomatoes and guacamole tasted very fresh! The fries were a over cooked a bit for my taste. But other than that, we truly had a great dining experience! Our waiter Daniel was excellent! He never let us run dry, it was a packed house and he managed to keep us happy! I also loved the music selection and the decor is awesome. It feels like you're eating outdoors in a patio environment! Bland food, inattentive service, and nothing on the menu under $9! No idea why this place draws a crowd. The place is nice-looking enough, but the salsa was the only thing I ate that was any good. Everything else was swimming in grease, cheese, and bland tomato sauce. Our waitress actually seemed annoyed to be serving us and the people at the table next to us actually had to flag down a bus boy to get her to take their order. I was really disappointed with my margarita, but maybe I ordered the wrong drink, because everyone seemed to be ordering and enjoying these giant margarita looking drinks with a beer bottle in them. Complimentary salsa was one of the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant, very spicy and flavorful. Catfish shrimp: recommended by the waitress, was pretty much disgusting. But then again, I'm the idiot that orders seafood in a Mexican venue.... Green enchilada: was never a big fan of enchiladas but this dish was VERY good! Inside of the restaurant is not as big as I thought it would with the whole remodeling and everything. They have a fish tank inside where you can watch fishes while you eat. Also a bar....then tv screens you can watch sports....we got to watch golf that night...yay! Where do I began......Odessa location! First on the menu was a dozen raw oysters, I'm very cautious when eating them so before I ordered I ask the waitress if they were fresh, she said yes! Once she brought them, I immediately smelled a loud fishy odor as she was putting them in front me! I then went to pick one up and I felt that they were not cold at all, room temp to be exact and the juice it left behind on the shell was a milky color, not clear as they should be!! I'm from Louisiana and I know fresh oysters and the rules!! I flagged the waitress to come get them because I declined to eat them because of concern of getting sick.....Second, I ordered fried fish with rice, fries and salad. Fish was piping hot and was decent but the the fries were on its way to being cold!! Why?? Rice was the same way, it was like it was sitting up. Last but not least the salad!! The cucumbers were dry, salad started to turn brown and that happens when it sits in a fridge and also the carrot had a white film prob due to the same reason. My whole entire meal wasn't fresh and at least I can be served a fresh meal with hardly any people in the restaurant to start with, so they wasn't busy at all!! Our car window was busted out in their parking lot and our car broken into while we were eatting our cold food. We notified the waitress only so she would know we would be waiting around and the police would be showing up to file a report. 2 of us moved to the bar and ordered one bottle of beer and a glass of water. Even after our party of 6 just spent a good amount on our sub par, cold dinners, we were charged $5.24 for the one beer and water, which included a service charge. After only being seen by my waiter when he was bringing me my food, and waiting for my check for about 10 minutes after we had already asked for it. The food was good, hot and sizzling. Service was lackluster. Be warned, they will add a gratuity to tables of 5 or more even if you split tickets. We found this out the hard way after we left the tip on the table and then found out we were charged a tip after we paid. Waitress got way more tip than she deserved. read more
