It was not overly battered and perfectly fried. It was so fresh. The sidewinder fries were awesome! The Drive Through burger was delicious and the fries were also yummy. We got the pickles in the side - the person running the truck told us he makes the pickles. They were sooooo good. He also brought out a sample of the bbq chicken for us and it was very good. We sat at the table outside and ate the food and it was great! I will absolutely be back here the next time I am in Juneau. This place is a must-try!

While this isn't my favorite (try Sandbar), the fish is fresh and it's pretty hard to complain. Another win for fish and chips in the area. The shape of the potatoes is a bit weird looking, but surprisingly it works and they were nice and crispy. I did think the fish batter was a tad doughy on the inside, and yet a little overcooked on the outside. Not the end of the world though, and I still enjoyed it. We did stop by during the week for lunch and the truck was closed, which was a bit annoying. One of the brewery employees said this place doesn't always open reliably, for various reasons. Just something to be aware of. Better luck on the weekends. Overall it's a nice spot right next to the Alaskan Brewing Company, which has lots of great beers and a nice patio spot out back to eat your fish, have a beer, and hang out with your dog. Yum!

The Wild Alaskan - Fish is very fresh. Slightly overcooked and a little doughy inside, but still a solid bet. Very good overall.

When you find the location and you walk down the stairs, you kind of wonder where you going and then you find the small 15 top restaurant I can maybe hold 35-50people. You sit down you get waited on by friendly staff and you get amazing food. We were very impressed by the nachos. They were our main course we shared with two people. I would recommend trying different meats. We had Al Pastor and their classic. We also came back a second day and tried the short rib with the kimchi rice. I couldn't tell you a kimchi rices, but it's amazing and it was completely gone. The short rib was very good, but their rice was amazing. Overall, this is a great place to go either for appetizers ,a good dinner. Or just a glass of wine in the cellar.

We were disappointed by the news of new ownership and changes in the menu but disappointment turned to joy when we ordered from their brunch menu and had the most incredible Chilaquiles and Eggs Benedicto! The food was outstanding, the service friendly, and owner Gonzalo earned our forever gratitude for personally driving my wife's phone to the Virgin security crew at the port when she left it at the restaurant and we didn't realize it until we were back on the ship! Guy needs to go back to V's Cellar Door!

I was really disappointed with my visit to Red Dog Saloon in Alaska. I had heard a lot about the…read moreplace and expected a fun atmosphere with decent service, but my experience ended up being frustrating from start to finish. The restaurant was crowded and loud, which I understand can happen in a popular tourist spot, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in helping customers. What bothered me most was the service from our waitress, Summer. In my experience, she came across as disrespectful and dismissive the entire time we were there. Simple questions about the menu felt like an inconvenience to her, and the attitude we received made the whole meal uncomfortable. We were rushed while ordering, had long waits for drinks and food, and when we tried to politely ask about the delay, the response felt rude instead of helpful. The food itself was average at best and definitely not worth the prices. Some items arrived lukewarm, and parts of our order were incorrect. By the time everything was fixed, the rest of the table had already finished eating. The atmosphere may appeal to tourists looking for the "old saloon" vibe, but customer service should still matter no matter how busy a place is. Overall, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Alaska. Between the poor service, long waits, and disrespectful attitude we experienced from Summer, I wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future because the location and concept have a lot of potential.
