I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant while working in the area. It's definitely a no frills type of restaurant with plain decor and ample but Spartan seating arrangements. The food is simply amazing. Coming from Florida, we don't have as much variety when it comes to tacos. The selection and competitiveness around SoCal makes great food happen. The fish tacos were fried perfectly and the toppings made it oh so tasty. There is a small relish/vegetable bar for snacking and topping. It was so good, I had to stop by for lunch both days while I was in the area! Looking forward to eating here again. read more

been meaning to write a review for here forever... LOVE(D) their deals... $1 fish taco wednesdays or mondays or whatever it was... i guess they were losing money changed it to $1.3 but still good. meh. ajfdklsajl best frigging fish tacos... in fact i kinda want some now... My husband works near here and introduced me to the best POTATO tacos I've ever had! Their FISH tacos are up to par with some of the tastiest Los Angeles has to offer. The staff is friendly and the condiment area is clean. The cook is always singing which translates to how much pride he has in the food he is creating. Will have to try the rest of the menu items. This place is DEF not fancy. Yeah, it could use new paint, and the seasonal decorations are cheesy. HOWEVER I'm not there to be thrilled with fancy crap I want fish tacos! That being said, the fish tacos are awesome. They're generous, so order less than usual. But the real reason I'll go here any day of the week is the potato tacos! For those of you wondering why on earth someone would order potato tacos, I urge you to try them. For those of us who can't really have too much meat, they're perfect. I'll take them over regular tacos anyday. The sour cream they use has something in it I can't quite pinpoint. Probably lime and cilantro but regardless it is DEE-LICIOUS! There are a few dishes here that I tried and didn't like, namely the chile rellenos but then again grandma sets an impossible standard. The rice and beans are decent but stay away from the horchata its far too sweet. Opt for an ice cold jarritos instead :) They do charge like fifty cents to use cards so take some cash. Have patience, some of the cashiers don't really speak english. PS: I believe there are specials on both the potato and fish tacos on certain days, but I forgot when haha! read more

This is the best place for Baja style fried fish tacos. Bar None. I've never had a better fish taco of this style. While I am sure that some people don't like the prices, they need to go somewhere else. These are amazing deep fried fish tacos. Bring cash or you will complain that they don't want to pay to use a card. Apparently, many people don't know that when you use a car the business pays a surcharge. You should not be a baby and complain about them not wanting to pay for your convenience. But that is what people do. read more

My first time here. It was busy, but it didn't take too long to receive our food. I had the fish tacos, and my friend had the chicken tacos. My fish tacos were delicious, and my friend enjoyed his chicken tacos. The menu is more than just tacos, but I would order the fish tacos again. The workers were very friendly. As we were getting ready to leave, we met the owner who was also very friendly. I liked the fact that she got in there to help clean tables. It was not beneath her. read more

Bad service, manager had me waiting on drinks. We ate at the restaurant we received the food first before the drinks. I had to get up and wait at the register for her to get an idea and ask for our drinks again. She was too busy counting money and receipts. A customer asked if I was in line and I said no. I told costumer I am waiting for my drinks. the manager had the nerve to serve the lady her drink before us. Never again will I eat there not that great for the service. Bad customer service. Not the greatest of Mexican food to be worth that service read more

I've only come here a couple of times but I know it's a popular option. I'm a vegetarian so I have limited choices when it comes to Mexican food. They said that the beans were vegetarian- made with vegetable oil. The rice is not vegetarian- made with chicken stock/broth. I haven't checked to see if the enchilada sauce is vegetarian but they have a cheese option if someone is just opting for meatless. The service staff is very kind and patient. It's kind of loud but understandably so because there's music and a kitchen where you can see them cooking your food. read more

The best Baja California Ensenada fish style tacos hands down. Others try to imitate but they are no where near as delicious. The chile amarillo asados marinated with lemon, garlic, and pepper are the best! Tacos are a decent size and filled with beer batter fish, cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro and Mexican crema. Prices are decent. The restaurant gets packed during lent season and there is limited seating. Not good for large groups. If you know what you want order ahead for pick up, saves you time in line. They serve beer and Horchata. Not feeling fish tacos they have other delicacies too like chorizo tacos. Liver and onion, lengua etc etc and during lent thru have awesome specials. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Parking up front is hard to come by as they have share with other businesses. My recommendation is park in the back. Plenty of parking there. read more

This is the BEST el taco nazo. Do not waste your time going to any other. They are not all the same. The very best fish tacos i have ever found. I was lucky to grow up in SGV. But have traveled and lived many other places, but i have never found better FISH tacos then here and the Baldwin Park el taco nazo. While I do like the fish tacos here and my husband loves the shrimp, everything else falls flat. The al pastor is horrible, the chicken not much better, really you come here for the fish, that's it. Service was nice, I enjoyed both their salsas and the prices are fine. Quesadillas are pretty good as well, but by no means the best fish tacos around. read more

This place is disgusting burrito sucked! first, they can't even make a burrito or how to roll it it immediately came apart when my uncle asked to remake it they didn't understand him at all they only speak Spanish ! The chicken inside the burrito looked like it came from a can, the tomatoes are also dry. When I asked for sour cream they both looked at each other confused I had to google translate he yelled "WHAT?!? You don't KNOW SPANISH?" We went here and was very disappointed. The food was super oily, no flavor, and does not measure up to the Real Taco Nazo/ famous for Baja Fish Tacos- they are the ones with the best Tostada ceviche, carne asada and customer service, etc. U name it. Those at this particular El Taco Nazo did not know how to communicate and were not welcoming toward other ethnicities and were eyeing me throughout the time. I will never come back here. I love the fish tacos here! Especially on mondays and wednsdays because they are only a buck. The other food is good also. Try their ceviche tostadas or their shrimp cocktails. Those are sure to fill you up and kill your seafood craving. They also have complimentary roasted chilis which taste good with your meal. These chilis are roasted and seasoned with lemon pepper.
