Ordered food while enjoying The Dominick's pool from El Takoy. This is a very casual food spot on the roof of this hotel, with Hawaiian themed food and drinks. I ordered the Honeydew beverage which came in a fun tiki glass and was delicious and refreshing. The food here is good but god are the portions small, especially for the price. We ordered the Guacapoke with salmon which was supposed to be a platter, but it was barely enough for two people. It was very good, but for $40 at least throw in a few more chips, c'mon. The popcorn chicken was also very good, but very small. Service was slow-ish considering that there weren't many people at the pool being served. Overall, if you're at the pool and you're hungry this is fine, just be prepared to pay a lot for small portions.

What can you say about a sipping cold brut over by the pool ? The lantern. Flies were a problem, they were everywhere. It's a NY problem I suppose. That aside , It's so relaxing. Service is super friendly make feel special. I trued the spam fried rice it was so good. Interesting Hawaiian theme food.

I had a bit of a mixed experience here. Concierge helped me make a reservation because we were coming for a work lunch and you can only make reservations for 4 people or less, and no one picks up the phone. I didn't realize it was a very casual eatery, almost like a cafe. This means no host to greet you, and the staff working behind the bar were clueless to our reservation. Someone was sitting alone at the only large table and after the staff failed to assist me as I tried to explain the situation, the customer kindly offered to move to a smaller table so we could be seated. Service is definitely on the slow side, and one of the 6 entrees (ramen) didn't come out until the rest of the group was halfway through eating. We also had to flag someone down for some extra condiments and eventually the check. I got the poke bowl - it's definitely adapted to the mainland vs what you get in Hawaii, but it was tasty. Some of the tuna was a bit stringy so I didn't eat it in case. The chicken katsu looked extra crunchy (in a good way). I'm not rushing to go back, but if you're staying here, it's convenient enough.

Delicious and beautiful Pork tacos and fruit deserts!

Great foods!! YES No kidding! Had pork tacos and desert fruits(2 days) while staying at the hotel with family. I was told that the chef is from Hawaii. Judging from these two dishes and drinks(iced tea and lemonade), these are top quality foods! The staffs are very friendly and fast. The tables indoor and outdoor near the pool are all nice. The restaurant is only for the hotel guests.

The Dominick Hotel has once again changed their poolside restaurant. While the decor is cute and quaint and the staff is friendly, jovial, and even gave us free shots, the food was disappointing. Strictly foodwise: Hawaiian inspired, but can't get the poke right. bland, soggy, mushy. Do not order this. Chicken tacos were hit or miss. Someone said it was bland, another person said it was good enough to order a 2nd plate. I had been here the day before by the pool which is also serviced by El Ta'Koy. Got a frosé which was ok... They have popsicles on the dessert menu which would have been fun to put in my frosé, but I just couldn't eat anymore. Nachos were meh. Hummus is standard. Ambiance wise: Really cute restaurant attached to the pool on the 7th floor of the Dominick Hotel (formerly Trump Soho) The have outdoor rooftop dining as well and the pool is serviced by this restaurant as well. Get here after 4pm when crowds die down and you can grab a poolside lounge. Oh, but the pool is reserved for regustered hotel guests only. If you are just coming here for the restaurant, you have the option of sitting inside or outside at high tops seating. It was quite cold when we went so we sat inside. It was very empty at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. In conclusion, I am adding stars for staff personality and another star for ambiance. Our waiter gave us complimentary kamikaze shots and that was super nice. However, the food was subpar with room for improvement AND there was an issue with being overcharged for nachos which was removed from the bill after we added up our itemized bill. But if we didn't, we would have paid an extra $50 for the nachos for literally no reason other than that is how it is calculated by their computer system. Yikes! Anyway, the problem was spotted and fixed. It did just open up so I want to give them a little slack but the food was just not good enough to come back for. Despite that, the Dominick still remains a favorite hotel rooftop pool and I will continue to order from whatever restaurant will occupy that space in the future. At least for drinks. I'll try the Vestry downstairs next. TBH I missed when they served sushi and gave free mini ice cream cones.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.

My friend really enjoyed her drink as well. At $19 per cocktail, it's not the cheapest in the area, but also not the priciest either. Would absolutely recommend Split Eights to anyone looking for craft cocktails in the area.
