Came in for brunch on a Saturday and arrived right before opening. They were nice enough to seat us early and take our order right before the kitchen opened. I got the katsu sandwich with a side of fries and my friend ordered the quinoa bowl. The sandwich was not bad but a little greasy. The katsu was nicely fried on a crusty baguette. Pasta not overcooked, hot (don't be a baby, eat carefully and don't burn your tongue) with good amount of lobster mixed in. Lava cake deserves a separate review. One of my favorite spots in the city. The mussels are my go-to starter. The buttery savory cream at the bottom of the dish are perfectly paired with a toasted slice of bread. I went to Little Ways on 8/23 for a birthday dinner. We paid in advance and set up a pre fixe menu. Upon arriving, we had to show our IDs at the door. All of us in our group ranged from 24-30 years old. I'm 27. The majority of our group is from California so we all have California IDs. I was told by the bouncer at the front that my id was fake because my background was "slightly more blue" than the rest. I calmly said that's fine if you don't want to let me in but I need my id back cause it's real and I have a flight on Monday so can I at least have it back. He was refusing to give it back to me and that's when it escalated. We asked for a manager to come out and the manager came out and said well the bouncer is doing his job so I can't let you in. We expressed that I am 27 years old and all I want at the very least is just my ID back. At this point I just stopped talking because it was getting to be a lot and the rest of our group began arguing with the manager. We said we can call the cops and have them check the ID and they said "what are the cops gonna do?" I think at this point they knew they messed up and didn't want to go back on their original argument so they doubled down. I was eventually given my ID back and let inside after being spoken to so insanely rudely by the manager and told to not "bring my bad energy inside". We were sat by the window so we could see the entrance and on three separate occasions I saw the bouncer turn away three separate groups of girls who ostensibly looked well over 21. This man is not good at his job and is essentially turning away business. The female waitress we had was very nice and tried to come over and offer me a drink but at this point I was so irritated that I declined and didn't want to drink at all. This isn't even about not being able to have alcohol it was about how I was treated and how I was being spoken to by the employees. Also as a side note- the food was so insanely mid. Not worth $85 per person. The mushroom pasta was like genuinely the worst dish of food I've ever had in my life. Don't waste your time getting ripped off here for mediocre food and even worse customer service. read more

One of the best veggie burgers. Vegan cheese, really unique blend of vegetables make up the patty. Doesn't look like a normal veggie burger but it tastes great. I recommend getting avocado on it. They have iced coffee but it's not on the menu. read more
