If you're looking for some really good Peruvian food I definitely recommend this location. They have a really good happy hour special with $3 draft beers that you can't beat. Their chicken is probably their best dish, definitely check this place out if you're looking to find some authentic Peruvian food. They offer outside seating on the stop is super nice, it's a great place for happy hour or to grab dinner with friends

Came to this place as it is well located near Locatel in Hallandale beach. Wanted to try their Parijuela soup and actually it was quite good.... The seafood was generous and cooked "al dente" as it should be.... For me, needed more spices to give more flavor and maybe a little more consistency.... But not bad at all.... Also ordered a corvina ceviche that was also generous and quite tasty... maybe missing some spice to give it a better kick!! My partner had the roasted chicken that looked very good... They do have diet coke on a can which is much appreciated!!! The place is clean and service was quite good.... Will come back!!

Visited this restaurant for lunch, it's a hidden gem in Hallandale. Plenty of parking on the plaza where is located. I was greatly impressed by the food. The menu has a wide variety of Peruvian dishes. Seafood was really good. I tried the corvina dish with a salad and as a side order the ceviche. The food was very tasty and delicious. The ceviche had a lemon sauce and the veggies were soft, the fish tasted very fresh. My party and I also tried the "picarones", as dessert, they were very similar to donuts but sweeter and more crispier. Great prices for great quality dishes. We really Enjoyed all the food and trying the Peruvian cuisine.

We were a group of 5. We ordered Shrimp Ceviche, Avocado Slices, Seafood Rice, Fried Whole Snapper, Fried Whole Snapper with Garlic Sauce and Fried Sweet Plantain. Food was good. Portions were standard. Fish was fried well but under seasoned. Garlic sauce was very tasty. Service was horrible. Server was great before food arrived. After we got our food, he was serving other tables and taking phone orders. We had to flag him down for EVERYTHING we needed. He apologizes but says he has too many tables. Um. Staffing is not my problem as a customer. This is not a big place. He certainly was going in and out to the other tables consistently. We get the check. Gratuity at 20% has already been added. We question the server. Gratuity is added automatically to groups of 4 or more. I have heard of this for groups of 5 or more. And I usually spy this within the fine print on the menu. We didn't bother to question further. We paid and we won't be back. I could stomach the automatic gratuity if we'd had good service. We did not. I had high hopes but......I don't recommend this spot.

From the moment you walk inside to The Tayta PERUVIAN RESTAURANT you are greeted with a traditional warmed !Taken to our seats and offered water and a drinks menu. Then the food!!! Absolutely amazing. Evett was adorable full of personality plus. Her customer Service was impeccable and knowledgeable about the whole menu . She explained all the dishes to my friends because was the first time. I invited my friend front America Airlines Flight Attendant was the first time they test Peruvian food they was fascinating with the passion pisco sour # the ceviche#arroz con Mariscos trio was wowww! Super fresh and delicious. They can stop to compliment the food and the service. We love to travel different places and test different foods but this Restaurant El Tayta is absolutely delicious food. Definitely We coming back to this wonderful place. Great for group Michel Yehezkel

This place was really good, clean. If you want to eat something tasty you can try a "jalea" which is a mix of seafood: shrimp, fish and calamar We also love the "tostado". Service was very good. The personal explained everything. We will come back.

Horrible picarones. Dry and tasted like they made it out a box
    Diana M.

What a disappointment... as a fellow Peruvian I am just so sad this place exits. We drove all the way from West Miramar to get picarones because a friend recommended this place to me. We ordered Tacu tacu con Camarones, tacu tacu con ají de gallina and picarones as a dessert. We paid $23 for the Seafood Tacu Tacu and we get watery tomato sauce and I received 2 tiny shrimps you find on the instant noodles. Go somewhere else, there are many more places that do better. The only good dish was the Tacu Tacu with Ají de Gallina, it was creamy and had good flavor. Finally, the picarones was sooo dry and it tasted as it was made out of a box. I asked the waiter if they had a specific person making it and she told me there is a different chef on weekends... (we went on a Tuesday) On top of that they are auto charging for 20% gratuity and charging 3.5% service fee on credit/debit cards. The restaurant should be paying for these. Not us customers. I am not going back here again and wasting my money.

I expected it to be packed, but there was barely any wait, which already made the experience better. The place is super aesthetic, really nice to sit and enjoy a slow brunch. Service was super friendly and welcoming. The Eggs Benedict Florentine is a must order. It comes with potatoes on the side and everything was really good. Prices are actually really good for how the place looks. I thought it was going to be more on the expensive side, but it's super reasonable. Only downside is parking, not a lot of spots, but if you look around you'll find something. I'd definitely come back to try more things. Such a solid brunch spot!

The interior and decor is very clean and captivating. Creating the perfect environment to enjoy a nice meal or drink. The cocktail menu was very impressive! While I didn't have a drink, seeing their cocktail menu was enough to know I had to come back for drinks. Started off with a single shot of espresso and a Cortado. The coffee was good and the custom glass wear it was served in made for an elevated coffee experience. After browsing the menu, the Shakshuka called my name! The perfect bowl of tomato sauce with peppers and onions. The spices were fragrant and created a very balanced dish and of course the eggs were perfectly cooked and runny when you break into them. After a savory breakfast the sweet tooth kicked in. Our server suggested the cheesecake that came with a table side pour of chocolate. The only downside to this dessert was I didn't want to share it lol I would literally come back here just for that cheesecake it was that freaking good. Overall Thanks To Harrison's beautiful environment, great tasting coffee, and unique European Fusion Cuisine brings unique flavors to Hollywood that is worth traveling for. Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

The turn in is a bit awkward, but there parking lot was pretty much empty at that time (and completely full by the time we left). I do not have a large car and the spots are super narrow. If you drive a truck, I would not try to park in the inner lot in front of the entrance. The place is clearly LGBT friendly; kudos for the pride flags out front. I immediately felt like I was walking into a hipster cafe in Cali. You order and pay inside; get a table number and the bring your food and drinks out to you. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I got the secret pita and golden latte. Service was relatively quick. Drink came then food shortly after. I totally wasn't thinking when I got the golden latte. It was a bit warm outside for a hot latte but I wanted to try something unique. Hard to describe but I enjoyed it. It came with granola on the dish. Not sure if you are supposed to throw it in. The squirrels and birds ended up eating mine. Yes, there was a lot of wildlife that was not shy. The squirrel was literally eating out of my hand and would have sat on our table if my friend allowed it. The bird flew in and did just that though. Came back for seconds a few times. Then as the place got busier, they must have gone off to bother others. As an animal lover, this was a fun perk but may be a turn off to some. The presentation for the pita was unexpected. I had to open a the box to get to my meal. You can choose how the egg is cooked. I went with the default sunny side up. The chorizo hit. Hummus was ok. Kind of bland. I didn't care for olives and picked the fruit off my dessert pita. Felt like I had enough pita carbs by the time I got to it. The ambiance was mostly peaceful. They do play music which was on the border of getting too loud. Coffee was pricy but all coffee is now. The food was also on the high end. This would be a major factor on whether to come back. I don't recall anything unique on the menu aside from the pita. The menu appears to change seasonally though.
