Well, this is a chain so doubt too many people dig into reviews for these but I had a bad experience and feel that it warrants a review. This year my wife is finally understanding Football and decided we should watch the game tonight while we wait for my daughter to get out of her class. The ambiance as we were walking up seemed great, they had a DJ with some good music playing and the football game on almost all TVs. Well we got there are 6:01pm, I know because it's about 30 seconds away from my kids class. We sat down and were finally greeted by the server at about 6:10. We quickly ordered a beer and a mojito. At about 6:18 I can see my beer and the mojito sitting at the bar counter where it stayed for another 5 minutes. My wife did say that it's okay they seem busy. About 6:23 when our drinks came we asked our waitress for a menu. Unfortunately she did not come back with the menu until about 6:40 and apologized and asked if we were ready to order. Clearly not you just gave us the menu. At about 6:45 a guy came around with scratchers for something free on our next visit. By this time we've already decided that we wouldn't be coming back again. And yes finally at about 6:52 our waitress came back to take our order. We just went ahead and asked for the check. Surprisingly she came back with the check within the minute. I felt bad but could not in good conscience leave a tip on our $13.46 tab. I was not expecting much as I've been to plenty of El Toritos but this experience was worth a review. read more

Funny story, I came here excited to try the Sunday brunch. Once I arrived, I realized it was still Saturday! Oh well, still in the mood for breakfast. I order the waffles but they came out like extra crispy toast. (For those that don't understand sarcasm they were burnt). The breakfast potatoes has no seasoning. They just chopped up a potato and threw it on the burner. No butter no salt and served it. The service was good our waitress did her best. I also ordered a mango margarita that was delicious I definitely won't eat here again, but I would come back for the drinks! So total food 2 stars/service 4 stars/ and drinks 4 stars. We joined together with three other couples for a party of eight. Our server, Evaristo, truly was one of the best we've ever had. He was attentive, considerate and patient. Our drinks were always full, chips filled, empty plates removed as we all continued to visit with one another. His attentiveness made our evening with friends all the more enjoyable because our every possible need was met. If I could give him more than five stars, I would! First time at this location and I'd give it a solid 3 1/2 stars. Service was slow but I think they were understaffed today, although the bartender was on his A game. We came during happy hour and sat in the bar. The mango margarita was delicious. The $6 happy hour chicken sopes were good. My husband enjoyed his carne asada tacos. Waitress wasn't very attentive but she probably had too many tables. The strawberry sopapillas were horrible!!!! They tasted old & dry. That was a waste of $8.50. Overall, not sure if I would come back to this location unless for a drink & bar bite. read more

Come here first time for Happy hour today, start with traditional margaritas on the rock with salt, chip and salsa have always been my favorite at Mexican restaurant, the salsa here have a kick (little spicy) but super delicious. We want to try different flavor of margaritas, so we order the margaritas flight, which I haven't seen margaritas flight in other place, there different flavor mango, traditional and blackberry, all yummy. We share a steak and shrimp fajitas, serve on a sizzling plate so it's temperature hot and delicious, it was good portion since I am on a diet. Our sever Maria H (Fernanda) was super friendly and attentive, she checked out table several time and make sure we are doing fine with everything. We will definitely come back again soon. read more

Our first time for Brunch at this El Torito and it didn't disappoint. Our waitress Erika was spot on with her service and friendliness. She brought the mimosas bucket kit to our table which kept my GF's mimosa glass full the whole time we were there. Overall it was enjoyable, food was better than expected, the wait time to be seated wasn't bad, and it was a nice change from the usual breakfast spots. I would give it 5 starts from past experience but last nights pathetic excuse for a Chili Relleno Special was horrible. $17.00 and I received: 1 small pepper with less than 2 table spoons of cheese inside and virtually no cheese on top. A scoop of sweet corn meal and a bit of shredded cabbage. All in a soup like sauce. Literally 10 bites and the meal was finished. It was less food than an appetizer dish. I left that place hungry which should never happen. The black beans are gone, the rice is gone, there is nothing left on the plate but the chili. The hostess said that this dish was one they "re-imagined" and down sized it while also raising the price. Note to El Torito: Wake up you fools, you just lost a customer due to your stupidity. You took the least expensive dish to make, dumbed it down and raised the cost. No more for me...... read more

I was craving Albondigas for 5 days and all the good spots were far from work. I didn't even know El Torts served it, so I was happy and placed an online order. The soup was around $10. Tell me why I only got 3 tiny meatballs, maybe 1 or 2 chopped pieces of carrots and 2 or 3 celery slices and 3 or 4 chopped onion pieces.... Whyyyyy... it got me sad.. And then, to top it off, the To go container was small, prob the size of the chicken bowl from Waba grill size, maybe a tad bit smaller- it was not even filled up. Sadness. I was quite disappointed in the serving amount. Made me think that I should've just dined in. Anywho, it was good, had a lot of flavor, but I would prob not order albondigas from there again.
