Friday morning, just before the dentist and I want to treat myself to breakfast. I chose the wrong place! The location is small and they don't have room to work. Don't sit at the bar because the counter is being used for the wait staff and you'll just feel like you're in their way. I don't think they could make healthy food if they tried I kind of felt like Gordon Ramsay were as soon as the plate hit the table. I wanted to say take it back. It's slop! Way too much sauce on top It's not gravy I'm actually trying to lose weight. This is my second time at Brandon's diner. They greeted us upon arrival. Sat us quickly and our food came out pretty quick, however, it was a thursday morning. Last time I went on a saturday morning and we had about a 20 min wait. I ordered the Crunchy French Toast combo. Crunchy French toast was pleasantly crunchy & crispy served with berries and dollops of whip cream! The eggs and hash browns were pretty standard. My sister got a bowl of oatmeal which was the biggest bowl of oatmeal I have ever seen. The only thing is they didnt offer smaller sizes. Idk anyone who eats that much oatmeal in one sitting ( i could be wrong, everyone has there own opinions). I think they should offer multiple sizes since they dont offer a childrens menu. Server is not there to work and take care of her customers, got to hear the gossip how server Camila likes to mess around with the married cooks. So unprofessional, this location needs better management maybe it'll help so the servers take better care of their customers instead of being entertained with the cook and not having my food just sitting there. If you want to be sitting there waiting for your food while Camila is just there flirting with the cooks then go to this location, but I won't be going back it was a bad atmosphere to be there with my family. read more

Huevos Rancheros - potatoes were perfection - love the crispy ends and the bits of small green pepper. Beans were bland but not bad, cheese helped! The actual eggs worth the green sauce was just meh. The eggs were more on the running side (asked for over medium) and the pork chunks were more white/gray than pink...they looked old and tasted old. My coworker and I were sat quickly however the waitress did not come to take our order after 15m so we decided to get the tacos to go . Placed our order went to get churros came back to pick up our order and they forgot it . No apology, we had to wait another 20 minutes for tacos and charged my coworker $1.03 for picodegallo . The menu could be changed, so it's not deceiving. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, and the menu shows it comes with mashed potatoes and gravy. On the side of the page, there's a section which says all sandwiches come with one of the items listed below, but doesn't list mashed potatoes and gravy as an option. I assumed, as would most people, the items listed are a complimentary side dish. Below the list, it stated fried zucchini could be substituted for one of these items for an additional dollar, so I elected to do so. When it came time for the bill, I was charged an extra nine dollars, instead of one, and when I asked about it, I was told the mashed potatoes ARE the side dish, and the section on the page didn't apply. Even when I said I felt deceived, and threatened to never return because of it, they still charged me the full amount. I have never felt so infuriated in a restaurant before, and I actually cussed out the staff as I left. read more

I have been eating at "Brandon's Diner" for many years now - off and on -in Riverside. This particular location on Magnolia opened about 1 year ago. It used to be further down the street in a strip mall. This newer restaurant is much nicer, cleaner and has easier access to parking. As always, the food is very good. I almost always ordered breakfast , but decided to try the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. It was really good. They have many desserts, including a sizable portion of chocolate cake. I have only been here during the week (Monday through Friday), so I have not experienced long waits for service as have others that posted their reviews here. The staff was super nice, offered me coffee to go. A great place to go for breakfast as always. It has a small town feel to it. read more

We sat down and ordered and then it took an hour for the food to come out. Besides waiting for all that time the food came out cold and distasteful. There was no seasoning on any of the food, it all tasted like it was cooked it an old oil. The eggs, bacon and sausage were undercooked. I would recommend you stay far away from this place.
