You can get some really good authentic style Mexican tacos here for $1, a really nice corn tortilla with your meat option topped with cilantro & onion along with a lime wedge and their homemade sauces on the side. The $2 sopes are pretty great also, it's corn masa formed into a little bowl shape then deep fried, then a little refried beans spread on it topped with your meat option, lettuce, tomato, queso fresca cheese, sour cream and avocado. Al Pastor, chicken, barbacoa, and chorizo have all been good. Consistency is the only problem with this Battleground truck, sometimes you get grilled onions on the side with your tacos and sometimes you don't, sometimes they will be out of their red or green sauces, the other day when I stopped they didn't have al pastor or chorizo and it was only 11:30am and I was the only person there, so I would guess they didn't restock from the previous day. The other 2 El Torito trucks in town are pretty good also and seem to be a little more consistent, one is on Randleman Rd and the other on Gate City Blvd...and they have one in Winston Salem on Waughtown St so says the little postcard that was in my bag on the last visit.

We stopped in today just to get a quick snack, we should have had it a meal. My son and husband had the steak tacos. They loved them. My lil guy wanted 2 more. My daughter had the Mexican Bbq which she also enjoyed. My chicken taco is really good. Fantastic tacos prepared fresh.

Great location! They've moved from in front of Toyota, they're now in the parking lot of the Quality Mart across from Freddy's Steakburger. This one is way better than the one of W. gate city Blvd, it seems to be fresher and more seasoned. Prices are great! $1 tacos!!! I got 2 asada tacos and was very pleased

Clockwise: Sope de carne asada, taco de barbacoa, 2 tacos al pastor... Oh and red and green salsa

Update for our 2026 annual visit:…read more We ate in this year and the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food we had last year. I have been looking forward to the World Ninja Championships so that I can eat here again and the team did not disappoint. I had the special, chilaquiles supreme and YES! Flank steak butterflied and so tender that I cut through it easily with a butter knife. They make the chips fresh for each order of chilaquiles and you can taste it. Generous amounts of every flavor that went into the meal and I left stuffed! Hands down, my favorite place and I have a feeling we are making a second trip here this year for sure! First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don't even like mole sauce, but I couldn't stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninia finals rome to town

First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

Overall the truck seemed very clean and hygienic for a food truck. The staff was incredibly friendly and organized. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices are a bit high which is common for food trucks. Guac and chips was $10 and the chicken quesadilla was $14. One thing that would have been a nice touch was Jarritos. The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.

I ended up placing a to-go order off of GrubHub so I have no idea how the service was or how the ambience was so I will have to get back to you on that, but I can tell you that the Quesabirria pizza with that consomme' is chef's kiss. The delivery was quite fast so the food was still fresh. They absolutely stuffed it with meat, cheese and the consumme' was perfect. It's like they skimmed the fat off the top of it so it's not too fatty and it came with Green salsa and red salsa. I ordered a side of sour cream which I absolutely did not need and wish I would have ordered queso but I'll have to do that next time. If you are craving birria I think this place is definitely worth the try. Cannot wait to try their other menu items! Ciao for now

I think you could fit some smaller groups on here comfortably. Pretty simple set up with wall art placed throughout. There were a few parties dining but the space didn't feel crowded. There was music playing in the background. It was a at a good volume to not have to yell in conversation. I've ordered the birria tacos for delivery but this was my first dine-in experience here. My friend ordered the birria tacos and I decided on the ACP - chicken & steak. They place the queso on the side in a cup. They advertised the margaritas and had a special for $5.99 on regular margaritas. They do offer bottled water & other drinks if you prefer other options as well. My chicken had a good flavor and the rice was cooked nicely and not mushy! Maybe some of the best rice I've had in a while at a Mexican restaurant. The steak had good flavor but I would have preferred a juicier bite there. Not quite jerky but drier than I wanted. My friend really enjoyed her tacos and they came out steaming. Parking can be limited, as it is a smaller lot. The service was good and we were checked on often. Overall, I'll be back to try more options and see what weekly specials they have available.

The name Bandito Bodega is extremely accurate, as the store itself is a small and unassuming looking place, with a charmingly decorated interior and some indoor and outdoor seating. It did not need any flashiness or grandeur- just some good food and good vibes. Now the food: WOW I was blown away by the pork belly garlic fried rice. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection. And they do NOT skimp on the portions. This heaping bowl was just $15, and it was generously topped with the pork belly. This will easily be a place I plan to frequent often, for the convenience, food, and charm.

Initially, I thought chips must've been sold separately but I confirmed on my ticket that chips should've been on the side so I gave them a quick call. I spoke to Alan who was able to pull up my order and apologized and his resolve for my inconvenience was pretty amazing. Since my break room had an alternative for chips, I was still able to eat. The chorizo was so good and it had a little heat to it which paired nicely with the queso, guacamole and cilantro lime rice that I got. Lastly, the portion size is enough for 2 meals possibly 3 if I don't share.
