Fajita Quesadilla mostly demolished

Great atmosphere and service. Dropped by during pride and had a great pre Natasha Beddingfield meal. Food was super great and the margs are strong. You also get a lot of food for your money. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Birria Tacos - I wish they were crispier and had the option to add cheese. Just okay.

I have heard wonderful things about this restaurant, but I was unfortunately disappointed. I think it's probably great for a fun event, when they have live entertainment. I went during the week. The food was not great and I wasn't a fan of the overall vibe. The service was good and they definitely made my friend feel special for her birthday.

Okay so 2 stars for food and 1 star for that very nice patio. The tacos were extremely regular. My husband ordered some special and it came with tortillas. He was disgusted by the tortillas. I think we'll be back one day though... but just for the drinks because the food was lack luster.

Great food and service! Service is always quick. Food has always been good. The atmosphere is always fun and everyone has a good time. Recommend for a fun night out.

Great food very fresh and large portions. The tacos are filling as you picture meats. The Dakota is overstuffed with meat pepper onion and cheese. Great flavors. Amazing drinks that are large and strong .

With no prior research or experience with any El Toros, I was not sure about what to expect but loved experiencing the fun energy on a Friday night. Though maybe not the top notch dining experience, the great drinks and lively feel made for a great night out. Fun place to go out with friends or to celebrate a birthday. The staff really work hard to make El Toro stand out from other Tex-Mex spots.

Went around 4 pm on a Thursday so there was no one there. Nice place..fairly spacious, nice covered patio. Tacos were flavorless and fairly dry, though large and filling. The roja and Verde sauces were good though! My guest was not amazed by her food either.

Acapulco Joe's would never! Come for the cocktails, not the food but only if you're in the area. We ordered cocktails and they were pretty good; Pineapple Mojito, Paloma, and Watermelon Margarita on the rocks. The good news is the complimentary chips and salsa were good. The guacamole had the right amount of jalapeño and the queso was just alright. On to the disappointment!! 2 of us ordered the quesabirria tacos. I've been looking forward to these all week. They were inedible. The tortillas were soggy and lacked flavor. There's something tragic about biting into food thinking it's meat to discover you have a mouth full of greasy blobby fat!! The "birria" had more fat than meat. What little bit of meat there was tasted old, seemed like it was scraps from earlier in the week. Neither of us ate our tacos. We opened them up then picked through to find the little bits of meat in the sea of fat. Lastly, we were given mole passed off as consomé. Our server seemed clueless about everything and basically said that's how it comes. DO NOT ORDER BIRRIA unless you like eating fatty mushy flavorless tacos. The ceviche was better than the tacos but not worth a second visit. My friend said it was watery and didn't have much flavor. We all liked the cucumber with Tajín, lol Save your coins. This should probably be a 1 star review but I really love guacamole.

Ground beef chimichanga with a metal shaving in it.

I was so excited for Mexican food, came here and the wait staff was so very nice. The food came out after a decent amount of time. The plates were burning hot though, including the child's plates. My kids loved their food. However, my food had a metal shaving in it. They did offer to replace it but at that point I was already turned off of my food.... They did take it off the bill. Also the waitress never came and refilled my water..........

Twice in one day?! A friend invited me to lunch and our first choice didn't work so he brought me here. We came on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately with chips and salsa. Then it took about 10-15 mins for anyone to come take our drink orders and food orders. They were not busy and the staff just kept walking by. Finally after an uncomfortable stare off between me and the manager, she came over and asked if we had been helped. I had the quesoBirria tacos. I was expecting them to be dipped/coated in the consume like the photo in the menu. They were not and I could not find any cheese inside. The flavor of the beef is 10/10. It was really good. I came back that evening because I already had plans for a GNO. The vibe is totally different at night. The drinks are cute but not strong at all. The way they serve it ...cute and hyped up. The staff is less than friendly both times I was there. They were very busy at the evening but never apologetic.

Had a great celebration last night. Enjoyed the music, very good food, great waitress. Scarleth did an amazing job attending to my friend party. Thank you! I will be returning to try more of the food.

I wanted Acapulco Joe's and this was anything but. Food was ok but nothing to drive downtown for. Won't go back.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We ordered agua frescas tonight, but their bar menu is huge and I definitely want to be back for margaritas on their patio. This is prime location for patio season. All our service was very professional and fast. Bonus perk there is a free parking garage attached.... Makes going out to eat downtown way less stressful!

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
